Hello August! It's been a while since my last post. Been very busy with other things. The school vacation has passed. My brother and his family together with my Mom also had a vacation here last month, so it's been very busy.

There are also many things have happened in the real world. There was heavy rain caused by a typhoon that resulted in severe flooding in low lying areas. And recently there was a strong earthquake in Russia. It's really different now, climate change is real.

Anyways, get ready for a night of epic fails, laugh-out-loud moments, and maybe even a few decent singing skills (just kidding, it's karaoke!) Here's my take on the art of karaoke posting - because who doesn't love a good sing-along? Just want to share with you all my song cover of "Akap". It's an opm (original Pilipino music) song. I used to sing it on videoke when my colleaugues before and I had a rest day. The tempo is a bit slow, because I can't find the right karaoke on this song. Enjoy!

While I was filling the tank with water, I also did laundry early this morning. Then I went to sleep this morning. It feels good to get a full sleep. This afternoon I recorded a song for a challenge on Tangled. I had a hard time singing the chorus because of its fast tempo. This is also the theme for the challenge. I woke up late today. Aside from doing the laundry, I also gather water. It's difficult here in our place because the water only comes out in the early morning, since it's a high place. Good, it's okay to upload here on three speak. Last December there was a problem, I think. I can't write because the customer service of our old internet is difficult to contact. We always don't have a connection. So I applied and got connected to a new internet provider. It's also good because it's just an online application so it's hassle free. After two days we have internet connection. Plan 999 plus Cable TV. My father needs cable, he does not know how to click on YouTube.

By the way, in the video, I'm cooking the viand we'll have for today. It's simple but nutritious. It's hard to think of what to cook everyday. Sometimes, I just watch cooking videos on YouTube for ideas. Here's the cooking tutorials:

Sauteed vegetables (Squash and Moringa leaves)

Ingredients

• Garlic
• Onion
• Tomato
• Ginger
• Shrimp cube
• Dried small shrimp
• Squash
• Moringa leaves

Preparation and cooking instructions:

1. Wash and prepare all the ingredients.
2. Heat the pan.
3. Put oil on the cooking pan.
4. Sauteed garlic, onion, tomato, and ginger.
5. Put the shrimp cube.
6. Then put the squash and add water.
7. Let it boil for 3 minutes then add the dried small shrimp.
8. Add the moringa leaves.
9. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes or until it's half cooked.
10. Ready to serve.

It's my first time to post in this community. I searched for a community that fit in my diy and I found this community. I first checked what the rules are here and these are my sewn covers.

I made a compilation of photos that I sewed sofa covers or in short slideshow hehe. Sadly my sewing machine is not working anymore which helped me a lot. I am proud of my hidden skill, it takes patience to sew the cover. I already know how to sew, but during the pandemic, I thought of asking online those who sew covers. I asked the cover makers online what and how the size of each sofa is. Before I was just an assistant and didn't really sew. During break time I am trying to operate high speed sewing machine when I was still working in the factory.

I have already asked the person who repairs here in our area to fix my machine, but he said that I should take it to the place where I bought it. But it's far because it's in Manila. I told the seller to come here, but there was no reply to my request. It's good to have our own sewing machine because it's easy to repair clothes. When I have loose clothes I sew and make them smaller.

"Thank You" by Dido is one of my favorite songs that I put in the video. I'm thankful to my parents, especially my Mom because I inherited the sewing skills from her. I am thankful to the clients who trusted me even though the cover was not perfect. Lastly, I'm grateful to God for giving me this kind of skill.

Anyways, it's really hard to think of what to cook for the family. Sometimes one member of the family likes the dish that was cooked, the other one doesn't. Only kids favorite is cooked eggs whether it's scrambled or sunny side up. That's why I added ampalaya vegetables to my cooked dish so that our food has some nutrients. This is one of my eldest' favorite dishes. Here's my simple dish I cooked that I want to share to you all.

Stir-fried Bittermelon (Ampalaya) with Eggs
(My Version of Cooking)

Ingredients

• 1 Bitter Gourd or Bittermelon (Ampalaya)
• 4 White Eggs
• Garlic (Minced)
• 1 Onion ( Big)
• 1 Tomato

Cooking Instructions

1. Prepare all the ingredients. Beat the eggs, then set aside.

2. Cleaned and cut ampalaya into thin slices. Place the ampalaya in a small casserole.

3. Add salt and lukewarm water then leave for 5 minutes to boil.

4. Place the ampalaya in a cheesecloth then squeeze tightly until all liquid drips.

5. Heat the pan and place the cooking oil.

6. Saute the garlic, onion, and tomato.

7. Add the ampalaya, mix well with the other ingredients.

8. Put-in salt and pepper to taste.

9. Pour over the ampalaya then let the eggs cook partially.

10. Mix the egg with the other ingredients.

11. Ready to serve hot. Share and Enjoy!

Ingredients

• Hotdog or Cheesedog
• 4 Eggs
• 1/4 cup Butter
• Sliced Cheese
• Tasty Bread
• Cling Plastic Wrapper

Cooking Instructions

1. Prepare all the ingredients.
2. Toast bread in a pan or oven toaster.
3. Sliced the cheese.
4. Cut hotdog or cheesedog into cubes.
5. Beat all the eggs.
6. Put butter in a hot pan.
7. Then put the cube cheesedogs.
8. Add the beaten eggs.
9. Next is the sliced cheese. Mix it.
10. In a plate put the toast bread then spread a kechup into it.
11. Next is 1 tablespoon of the cooked egg and cheesedog fillings.
12. Wrapped it with cling plastic.
13. Ready to serve this delicious sandwich or baon pack of your kids.

We went at night because the Christmas lights were beautiful there. My son took a picture with the giant Christmas tree. We just went around and didn't go on the rides. The rides are ferris wheel, carousel, and many others. There are many food stand and souvenir shops We only ate shawarma, fries and drinks. There is a game like Bingo and some other games. Then we bought a sword for my son. After wandering around, my son asked to go home because he was tired from walking hehe. Many people come to enjoy the park. The weather was good and it did not rain. I like that old man, he was also making a video hihi. Maybe I'm in his reels. This is the one I used to do reels on Facebook, now I feel lazy to do it haha. I feel like I want to ride on the carousel. Do you ride even when you're already old hehe?

I just remembered when I was young, there was a basketball team in our barangay, they wanted me to be the muse of their team but I didn't pursue it, I was quite shy haha. My son also joined the prince and pricess when he was kinder in a money contest at their school. He was only second place because I didn't raise enough money. But it's okay, at least he has experience with this kind of contest. Maybe I will share it in my next posts.

What I want to share with you in the video is when my beautiful niece joined and became Ms. Intramurals of their school. Nicole always asked to join there since grade 4. I told her "finally you already join", she answered "I agree, there's nothing to do hehe". She's a bit shy like me lol. That is also good to boost her confidence and be able to deal with people, right? Of course, we are all proud, especially her parents and her grandmother (my mom) because she is her companion in school activities. In the video, they introduced themselves first and in the last part was the coronation of the winners. The place was a bit dark because it was late already, the court lacks of light hehe. I want the crown, wand, trophy, and sash that are the first price of the winner like the queen. I have a short story, she just recovered from the illness and went to the hospital for a check up because she had a high fever. Her partner had a fever at that time, but he was able to handle it. Show must go on even though many people got sick before that day came.

Intramurals encourage school-wide involvement of all students in physical activity during non-instructional times that occur during the school day.

I used the Beautiful in my eyes instrumental in the video with low audio of the video itself. I like Beautiful girls song to put in the video but the music is only 1 minute in the capcut app.

I want to share the coffee jelly that I made recently. This is my son's favorite and me aswell. It is easy to make and the ingredients are affordable.

COFFEE JELLY

Ingredients:

• 1 pack of Mr. Gulaman Powder - Coffee Flavor
• 2 tablespoon Instant Coffee
• 3/4 cup Sugar
• 1 can Evaporated milk (250 ml)
• 1 can Kremdensada (250 ml) or Nestle Cream
• 1 1/2 liters Water

How to Make:

1. Prepare all the ingredients.

2. Dissolve the 1 pack of gulaman powder in 1 1/2 liters room temperature water on a casserole.

3. Bring to a boil.

4. Add the sugar and instant coffee until thoroughly dissolved.

5. Mix it then add evaporated milk.

6. Transfer in a shallow or plastic container to spread about 1 inch thick. Let the mixture cool down, then refrigerate to set.

7. Once the gelatin sets, cut into cubes.

8. Put the evaporated milk and kremdensada or nestle cream.

9. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

10. Serve chilled.

Hello everyone! It rained overnight here in our area until this afternoon but it was just a drizzle. A little water came into the terrace. It's a good thing that my room has been fixed so some stuff on the terrace are in my room. When ceiling and door was not fixed, I was very worried every night because there were many things that could get wet in case we get flooded when it rains heavily and continuously. We were flooded in October last year when typhoon Paeng hit our place.

If I'm not mistaken, we're on signal number 3 here. The eye of the typhoon is in Catanduanes.

Many were devastated by the typhoon. The plants and trees fell down as well as the nets.

The weather is really bad now, it's different due to climate change. Many places are flooded unlike before. I saw a video on Facebook of severe flooding in other countries. It's frightening isn't it? Should really plant more trees.

So that's it, we repaired the interior of the house because it's materials of our house have been there for a long time so there are termites. The two bedrooms and the living room were first renovated in July last year, also replaced with a long span roof. I said, my room is the next to be renovated because the budget is insufficient. And my room was fixed just last week. The ceilings have been replaced because termites are infesting the wood. The replaced ceiling is not the usual one but hardiflex (it is said to be mixed with cement) to prevent it from rotting. Then drill the metal furring and metal angle bar with blind rivets. It's modern now, it's not good if it's still wood. That's just some of what I asked to my son's godfather who made this ceiling because I don't know much about construction materials hehe. My father also knows how to do welding, he actually did the attic in the house in Cavite.

What do you think of the new paint color, is it nice? That's a mixture of peach and green, it's an avocado color. There is still some paint left, but the wrong one was bought, it should be cream.

After that, we plan to renovate the garage once we have some savings from our plant sales. We also plan to put in a second floor, of course we will save money too hehe. Our plants in the garden is a big help for us. I wasn't actually blessed with a green thumb (mentioned here by a Hiver) I can't remember, lol. I just help in putting coconut peat on the plastic sometimes.

Mango Graham Float

Ingredients

• Graham crackers
• Crushed graham
• All purpose cream
• 1 can condensed milk
• 1 to 2 pieces riped Mango

Preparation

1. Prepare all the ingredients.
2. Put all purpose cream in a clean bowl. Use mixer to thicken it.
3. Mixed the condensed milk in all purpose cream.
4. Sliced mango in thin pieces.
5. Put some mixture in a clean tupperware.
6. Then put 2 to 3 pieces of graham crackers.
7. Repeat placing the mixture and crackers until it reaches 3 layers or the tupperware is not full.
8. Top with mixture and crushed graham.
9. Then decorate the mango slice according to your desired design.
10. Put in the fridge to cool and served on a small plate with cold drinks if desired.

It all started when she became my classmate in third year high school. We are five friends who always together whether it's for fun or in our group projects at school. We even formed a name for our group, the first two letters of our name were made up. We have a picture of the five of us and so far it is still fine. It's really nice that we have pictures of our memories for when we get older we'll have something to look at, and will remember the happy things that have happened in our lives. One of our friends passed away long time ago, only Zhet told me. The other one has goiter. We have no news about our other two friends.

The closest to me among the four is Zhet. My house is quite far from her but it is walkable. So I always hang out with her or she comes to our house. Zhet and I also have a picture in high school of course. She was no longer my classmate in fourth year high school (K to 12 was not yet implemented that time, lol). But our friendship doesn't end there and until now our friendship is still strong even though we are far apart and have our own families. We don't talk and see each other all the time, when we do see each other we talk and laugh endlessly.

We tell each other all our secrets and silly things. Her two cousins even became my boyfriends (haba ng hair gurl😅), maybe it's just puppy love. We also had a misunderstanding and didn't talk for a long time. The reason for this is quite profound. Maybe that's how friendship is, there will be trials but it becomes stronger after what happened. We're okay now and that's the video of our bonding together last vacation on July 28.

This video of us doing karaoke is her husband's birthday. Zhet only said that it was her hubby's birthday when I went to them. So I was surprised that there's a food like cassava cake and Inutak delicacies from Don Benitos, Jollibee foods, ice cream and Coca cola. Actually she said, "Lets go buy some food", then she said "It's hubby's birthday". I am his son's godmother. Then her brother and sister took me as a godmother of their child hehe. I just included the food we ate in the last part of the video.

Yesterday was a very busy and tiring day. Me and my mom went to Trece Martires City. We have already obtained the "Electronic Certificate Authorizing Registration (eCAR)" from "Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)". But we still have one more requirement that needs to be submitted to the Registry of Deeds. I hope we can finish this. It takes a long time to process each document, but it's okay as long as every step we take is worth it (that's a lyrics from a song, lol). I mentioned about this in my previous posts.

Anyways, it's cooking time for me once again. This is my version of cooking chicken sotanghon soup. One of my favorites for the cold weather. I finished two bowls of it in just one sitting. Here's my cooking tutorial. Hope you all like it.

Chicken Sotanghon Soup

Ingredients:

• 4 cloves of garlic
• 1 onion
• one fourth kilo of chicken breast (cut into 2 inch pieces)
• one carrot (julienned cut)
• Chinese celery (kinchay)
• 2 coils of sotanghon
• 1 chicken cube
• 2 tablespoons fish sauce
• atsuete (annatto seed)
• 1 tablespoon cooking oil
• one half cup water

Prepare the ingredients.

1. Put the annatto seed into one half cup of hot water.
2. Boiled the chicken with one half cup of water.
3. Set aside the chicken broth.

How to cook.

1. Put oil in a hot pan.
2. Saute garlic and onion.
3. Put chicken then the chicken broth and hot water with annatto.
4. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
5. Add sotanghon and chicken cube. Bring to boil then put the carrots.
6. When it is already cooked put the chinese celery and fish sauce.
7. Taste it then ready to serve.

Putting annatto is optional. It adds color on the soup.

How are y'all? It was sunny this morning but this afternoon it rained heavily. I stopped doing laundry because I would get wet in the laundry, it's an open area. No class today in school because of the celebration of world teachers day. Happy Teacher's Day to all our great teachers around the world. I hope I can write tomorrow, I have something important to do, I might be absent here. Parents have a meeting at my son's school tomorrow, I can't attend. Maybe next time or next month for the card giving. I need to hurry and finish all my housechores. I have prepared my things so I can leave early tomorrow.

This video was taken by me while I was resting in the farm. That's the "Melaloni" plant, it's still small. When it gets a little bigger we sell it. Those in the distance are "Asters" with white flowers planted in the ground. We have many different kinds of plants in the back. But that is all can be seen in the video.

I just added music to make it more enjoyable to watch. The title of the song is "Cupid" song by Fifty Fifty. Hit song right now and being danced on tiktok that I want to listen to. I even imitated it's dance step sometimes lol.
