Today I made a fabric pencil case with a timeless children's design and bright colors. For the interior, I chose a blue fabric that contrasts perfectly, and to further highlight the design, I used a thick blue zipper that harmonizes with the entire project. Although the materials were simple, each one is of very good quality, and that makes a big difference in the final result.

There are many ways and techniques for making a pencil case; this time, I decided on a method that is ideal for fabric, much more practical and easier to work with than other materials I usually use in my projects. I loved the result and invite you to see the step-by-step guide I prepared especially for you... Welcome.

La tela estampada será la parte externa de la cartuchera, y será un pieza de 24cms por 29cms
La tela unicolor será la parte interna y son dos piezas de 29cms por 12,5cms aunque pudiera ser otra pieza igual a la pieza exterior, y cambiaría muy poco el proceso, de hecho solo nos ahorraríamos esa costura central para unir las dos piezas internas, pero yo trabajé con las dos piezas separadas.

Ahora si, el paso a paso lo explicaré de forma puntual:

• Closure with printed fabric on the shorter side
• Pin in place to ensure nothing moves, and sew a straight stitch
• On the back of the closure, sew one of the plain fabric pieces that forms part of the interior
• Fold both fabric pieces under to leave the closure exposed, and sew a straight stitch to join the two fabrics together.

• At the other end of the zipper, I repeat the process, attaching a piece of blue fabric to the back of the zipper.
• On the right side of the zipper, I can easily place the other end of the patterned fabric on top and sew it on.
• I check both pieces, and to do this comfortably, I can remove the zipper slider.

• Join the two inner pieces. If you have worked with a single inner piece that is the same size as the outer piece, this step is not necessary.

• Insert the slider into the clasp.

• Turn the piece over and leave it like this to continue working.

• Cut two pieces of the same patterned fabric to make the handles, each measuring 6 cm by 4 cm.
• Fold the long edges so that they meet in the center.
• Fold again and sew a straight stitch.

• Insert the folded handles, one at each end of the fastener, and secure with pins.
• Sew a straight seam at both ends of the pencil case.
• Turn the piece right side out through the fastener.

• With the piece completely straight, I mark 2 cm by 2 cm on all corners. To make this easier, I made a square with those measurements on paper and used it as a template, drawing that shape on all corners on both sides of the pencil case on the outer fabric.
• I open one corner and, having marked the template on both sides of the outer fabric, I form a straight line in that corner and sew a straight seam.
• I repeat this on all corners.

• This is how the seams look at the corners.
• I cut off the excess or peak at the corners.
• I turn the pencil case over again and sew along the edge of the corners that I had previously sewn and cut.

This process creates a FRENCH SEAM in the corners, the same type used in clothing manufacture. This means that no seam cover is necessary, and the inside is very clean and neat.

There you go, this design is very easy to make. The process is so quick that it's really enjoyable to see the pencil case finished and ready to use in just a few steps.

As you can see, it looks great and the shape of this design provides plenty of storage space with easy access to everything. Placing the handles on both ends of the closure is a real plus, as it makes it much easier to open and close the pencil case. You might think it's unnecessary, but when you use it, you realize how useful they are, so always make sure to include them.

The inner fabric, with its striking color that matches the outer design and closure, is a detail that really elevates the pencil case; and as I said before, the quality of the materials has a direct impact on the final product.

This design can be modified in all its measurements if you want it to be bigger, taller, or longer. Just think about the measurements a little, and the procedure will always be the same. Coloring has always been an activity not only taught at school from a young age, but also an important activity in my home, along with drawing. Ever since my children were little, I told them that "all" homework and assignments should be accompanied by a drawing, even if they weren't asked for one at school. And I also always bought them coloring books as rewards, which they quickly devoured.

These coloring books are a new format currently in use, and are used as souvenirs, for birthdays, as support material for children's exhibitions, as gifts, etc. They have tons of uses, and we can make this coloring book with just a sheet of paper, Canva, and a printer. Let me show you:

As I mentioned, I used Canva Pro, but it's not mandatory. You can use the free version, just be careful to choose free elements.

I chose "Create a Design" in Letter size, landscape format. You can use portrait, but I felt more comfortable using landscape. I inserted a "Table" with 4 columns and 2 rows, leaving a little space around the edges of the sheet. This will make everything much easier.

The front and back covers of the coloring book will be in the boxes below. I used certain framing elements with drawings of trees around them, and I added a title for the front cover and a motivational message for the back cover. I also included some colored drawings for both boxes, as you can see below:

Pay attention to the orientation: the ones below are upright, and the ones above should be upside down. So, in "Elements," I selected "Animals to Color" and chose some that matched the ones I placed on the front and back covers.

For the ones above, it's just a matter of rotating the image I chose. At the end of this post, I'll leave you the links for each animal, in case they're useful.

I set the border of the board to a green color to match the overall concept. I also added some elements like the sun and clouds to each frame, all according to each person's personal taste.

This information I'm about to give you is truly a GREAT INFORMATION, and it took me a while to learn how to use the correct settings.

You must download this Coloring Book design in PDF format FOR PRINTING. Below, two options will appear. You must choose CMYK (BEST OPTION FOR PROFESSIONAL PRINTING). Be careful to select it because the first option is RGB by default. Choose the second, which is CMYK. Then, print it, being careful to choose the "letter" paper size, and you can even choose "fit on page" to ensure your design is perfectly square.

You can customize it to your liking, or create a special theme. It's wonderful because each drawing will be on a separate part of the page, meaning there won't be another drawing behind it. This is ideal so that if the marker or color bleeds through, it won't damage the back.

My first digital Chibi! You have no idea how excited I am. I have been practicing a lot, thanks to my children's classes, I have worked very hard to make that jump from traditional illustration to digital illustration, and of course it had to be with a Fanart of one of the characters from @holozing that I am very in love with.

To start off I did it with Zappit, in my Female Chibi version, beautiful, I am in love with it, I would like to print it on many things, it is so beautiful, I put too much love into it. I worked on an Ipad and with the Procreate program, these resources are from my daughter who is an illustrator and I have been learning and working with her. I was so excited that I wanted to upload a little video with the process, which I also explain below:

I like to sketch with two colors. Then, Lineart with a thin pencil-style brush. This is how I work when drawing on paper as well.
I applied the base color of the skin, darkened the area of ​​the legs near the skirt as a shadow, and applied blush on my Chibi's cheeks.

I applied shadows to the skin. The hair was very thick and I applied the base color like the original Zappit. With the airbrush I colored the lower part of the hair a redder color, and with the characteristic shine in front of the bangs that I always like to do with the Chibis.

I added more details to the hair. The dress was a medium brown, and gloves and shoes with a beautiful design.

I colored the eyes with Zappit's signature green, they actually turned out the same as Zappit's but with the eyes I always make in Chibis. I added more details to everything and a background to present.

To make the cover, I worked with Canva in its Pro version, I uploaded my drawing and improved the image with the Canva App called Image Upscaler, with which you can increase the quality without actually intervening in the design. I also made an animation of the elements.

I loved this Chibi Zappit, the process was very exciting, being able to do many things with Digital Illustration is another level, and I'm enjoying it too much.

On the occasion of Valentine's Day, I made my daughter Albani a card of one of her favorite singers or artists, which is Taehuyng from the musical group BTS. This card has a very Kawaii design, which when opened, some pieces unfold with a heart covered with the artist's photo.

really liked this design because it adds some interest, and I know it's something my daughter will like. Additionally, I have a lot of materials like cardboard and other papers and I'm determined to create more content using them, because you have to take advantage of all those resources, so you have to put your memory on "on" and remember all those projects we did at school and also those we did with our children when they went to school.

I must confess that this is one of those very organic projects, which I do trying to think about the design as I go along. For this reason, I started gluing with cold silicone and then I moved on to glue sticks, which are even more suitable for gluing paper to paper.

In this written part I am not going to include the step by step, since I decided to create audiovisual content, with 3Speak of course, and in a very visual way the explanation since I considered that the voice-over was not necessary.

It's amazing how these little details are so appreciated by fans of a musical group. Personally, I also remember treasuring not only small photos or cards, but even posters with large images pasted on the walls of my room when I was a teenager. Now, I have the empathy to understand my daughter's love for Kpop and especially for this musical group.

The stickers I used I have been looking for little by little, for some time in the Canva App, in its Pro version, which makes many resources available to us in the "Elements" section.

I always use Canva, and really paying for the Pro version is incredible. The other App I used in this post is Capcut, for the video, and also in its Pro version, this App is used by my daughter @viviana.fitness who uses it regularly and decided to buy the Pro version, and of course she lends it to me when I need it.

This Valentine's Day, we spent it very relaxed at home, and we bought food for delivery, and we watched movies and series on television, very normal really. However, in the city everything was very busy, in terms of sales related to this date.

Greetings Hive friends, today I am very happy because I am releasing my Base for making Bracelets, I am leaving you the link of the publication where I made that base.

I am releasing it with the Tutorial for some Bracelets with waxed thread or Chinese thread, with a design or decoration of mainly pink beads and a golden element that is a curved tube. I was very excited about this Tutorial and I wanted to do it with audiovisual content from @3speak and by the way it is recorded in a zenithal plane with the base that I made a while ago, you can see how I made it Here

I cut two strips of 45cm each, these will be the central threads. Another strip of 130cm will be the one with which the design or weaving will be done.

I place the 45cm strips, both on the Base to make the Bracelet from 7cm, if you don't have one you can also improvise by placing tape on the top of the two ends and on the bottom.

I locate the center of the 130cm long strip, and place it on top of the central threads, making a first flat knot and continuing with 3 other flat knots.

Then, I place a bead on each thread, left and right, I mean the thread that is making the weave. I bring them up and then continue with the 4 flat knots of the design. I repeat this until I complete 7cms of weaving with this design.

When I reach 7 cm, I insert the golden tube into both the threads that are making the weave and the two central threads below.

Then, I continue the design of flat knots and beads.

The closure is made with another piece of thread, making 8 flat knots and sealing.

To finish, I place a bead on the ends of the threads that are left free.

Christmas houses are, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful decorative elements of the season. With their charm and detail, they add a magical touch to any space in our homes. Today, I am very pleased to share with you the DIY of this Christmas House, which by the way is my first one, and I was fascinated with the process and the result. This craft came to me late, since we are more than halfway through the month of December, and I have been left wanting to make several more.

This idea is just an example of what we can do, since it is a DiyHub project that has many possibilities, and invites us to let our imagination fly at Christmas.

It has always been a bit difficult for me to put together materials for my publications, because my creative process is on the fly. Of course, there are projects in which I know exactly what I am going to use.

But generally, I start a project and add details as I go along. For example, in this project I was not planning to use cold paint, but I decided to use it to add details like the snow on the house on the metallic red cardboard, and I needed it to draw the doorknob of the house.

Of course, Christmas lights are not a material that should be used, but they are a beautiful element that adds value when we place some decorative element related to Christmas.

Fortunately, there are always some additional lights to use and I placed them behind the house, where they can be seen between the spaces of the windows.

As Content Creators, the visual quality of our publications is essential to capture the reader's attention. Of course, that quality in terms of equipment such as cameras or phones is something that we have according to our possibilities, and we must improve them progressively.

But there are also resources that we can improvise or make with our own hands, to raise the quality or to facilitate our process. In this case, I wanted to make a Base to record in a Zenith Plane, where it is viewed from above, this seems great to me to record the step by step of the crafts, with greater emphasis.

So today I invite you to watch the explanatory video, with the step by step and the whole process.

Basically, the main material of this project is this box from a television, which I kept, as always, because I am at that stage of my life where if the box or packaging is pretty, I don't throw it away.

The box is white on the outside with images, and it is laminated, its texture is very pleasant to the touch. For this reason, I didn't want to cover the box, I only put white foam in some places to cover some very striking images in my design, but in general I was happy to use it as it was, and it was in perfect condition.

In the video I show you the step by step, but here I leave you the measurements of the pieces that make up the Base to record in Zenithal Plane:

• 1 Upper Piece: 15cms by 60cms.
• 2 Side Pieces: 15cms by 35cms.
• 4 Pieces for the feet: 12cms by 7cms.

If the cardboard you are going to use is very thick and would give you good structure in this project, use the quantities of pieces that I indicated above. In my case, I felt that it was not strong enough, so I decided to repeat all the pieces to make them thicker and stronger.

This is a small light for your cell phone, for taking selfies, it turned out to be ideal for this project. I was already thinking about how to attach a LED light strip to my Base, and I remembered that I had this one stored away.

In the Base workspace, it lights up very well. It has 3 types of lights and now I won't have it stored away and forgotten in a drawer anymore, since it supports the entire concept of my Base for recording Overhead Shot.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Slots are made in the pieces to fit them together. That is, the top piece to the sides, and the sides to their feet or legs. These slots must be made HALFWAY up the piece, so that when they are joined together they will be flush. Keep this in mind, so that the joints are neat.

Today I'm going to participate in the Jewelry CommunityJewelry in their Christmas with Style Contest 🎄✨️, it's impossible not to do it because I love creating accessories in the different techniques that I know, or I master, or I sometimes go for the daring one to start.

The accessory I made is very allegorical of these dates, specifically the New Year's Eve parties, where we wear beautiful headbands or tiaras with the year we are going to start, in this case 2025, and some other elements, which make us have fun, share and celebrate with great joy the Welcome to a year full of new opportunities.

I loved the final result, especially the detail of the little tree made with pipe cleaners, since it has movement and I think that gives it a fun touch, which is what is needed for the end of year party, lots of joy and fun.

You can really put whatever you want as a decorative element, there are those who are more daring and put glasses and wine bottles in foam, that will surely give many funny comments too, but since the headbands I am making are for my daughters, and although they are of legal age, they do not drink alcoholic beverages, the fun should be towards the Christmas elements.

Greetings Hive Diy Community I am still super motivated with the creation of Crafts for Christmas, above all I am inspired with the materials, especially the frosted foam. It is the first time that I use it for Christmas, I buy some because they are very cheap, I look at them for a while and many projects come to mind.

My daughters are already grown and have their groups of friends, and they mainly want to have fun, so they asked me for their corresponding Christmas headbands. I thought of presenting this post with the guidelines of Activate Christmas Headbands from the Hive Diy Community but it started to get very long with the amount of photos. So, in order not to bore you, I decided to make a collage-type video where you can see the step by step, and it's great because I have the opportunity to use 3Speak and so little by little I'm getting more practice.

The whole decoration came together, I made a candy and a bow. I love candy, they are so eye-catching and I have seen that they even decorate Christmas trees with this theme, along with the Christmas Drums that I taught you how to make earlier.

Para este Diseño de Porta Credencial, como lo verán en el video lo fui creando de acuerdo a cómo quería que se viera. Y para el Llavero simplemente fue una tira de 6 cms por 40 cms, aunque puede ser como todo de las medidas que quieras.
