I'll participate for this week with a song "OLD RUGGED CROSS"

In this song lies some salient meaning it carries. For the theme HOLY WEEK, the song fits in perfectly for me.

The composer showcased an emotional lift about a certain man who willingly accepted to suffer. Exposing himself and everything about him. All under him were exposed to the persecutors and executioners.

At a point, his skin were all attached together with his cloths because of torture and torment, beating and whipping.

The man named JESUS CHRIST accepted to undergo all these trails just to save the entire world. His BODY was no longer beautiful to behold. His face was no longer cute to approach; yet with the drops of blood from that face, we saw happiness and satisfaction and so became healed, saved and free.

We have nothing to express more than showing appreciation and be thankful.

I being you all peace, joy and love in this platform as we progress in our "AFRI-TUNES" weekly shows.

I am @wizj.

For this week 162, I will play a song by BONGOS IKWUE titled "STILL SEARCHING FOR TRUE LOVE.

BONGOS IKWUE is a NIGERIAN MUSICIAN who has a lots of songs to his name. The said song was done in 1978. A reggea funk/soul afrobeat with a very enticing rhythm.

The lyrics of the song captures a SEARCH for TRUE LOVE. By that, it means that to have a genuine love isn't that easy to come by. To have a long lasting and enduring love isn't a child's playing on his/her mothers'.

The singer stuck on, persisting and insisting that he won't give up but will still keep on searching till maybe one day he'll find.

Of course, he quoted the bible in Matt7:7 that when you search, you'll find. That gives so much hope on the threshold of searching; on the line keeping on the search without a stop until it is found.

Often times, we say in words LOVE. We joke so much about it so much so that, no one gets to know when there's seriousness in the expression.

However, love conquers everything and in love everyone lives happily and reproduce in themselves nothing but the fruit of love shared and received.

The song though done decades ago yet still has a freshly baked flavors that never spoilt nor soiled. What is that to us then?
It is simple, to love and try to give more assuring genuine love to others expressively without any reservation whatsoever.

Let us love and be-loved as well.

In this week's theme of BE RE-BORN, I'll participate with a song titled: "I SURRENDER ALL" A song originally by JUDSON W. VanDeVenter written in 1896.
I am going to play the reggea version by Christafari feat Tiago costa.

Is a song of total surrendering of oneself to Jesus. The theme captures perfectly and it resonates in our hearts 💕 and minds the wonders of God's love for us.

All we truly have is our lives; then giving back to God in perfect condition and state as it was given to us. This means that, our life is precious and it ought not to be tempered with.

Being Re-born as the theme suggested for the week is; in otherwords, a letting go of the old self by accepting Jesus and his divine teachings of LOVE. As the son of God cordially joined together with his father in a greater union. Inviting us to share in the same rhythm of hope as sons in Jesus Christ.

I shall play a song by FANNY CROSBY published in 1869.

It is a solemn song suitable for this period that we are in Christiandom called "LENTEN SEASON". Most particularly, to CATHOLICS who really observed this period with intense hope. Its a period to prepare for the death and resurrection of JESUS CHRIST.

It is a period of 40 days waiting in fasting, armsgiving and prayer.

The song has as its lyrics some basic prayers embedded.

At the foot of the cross drips out a fountain that gives life and hope to us. There At there cross, Christ gave it all to its very zenith.

Near the cross we come always to seek for life. He (CHRIST) do not hesitate to bless us by extending his hands upon us.

For this week, I'll participate with an entry of a song by MOSES BLISS & CO titled "DARLING JESUS"

This gospel artists are well thriving in the music industry as well as creating impact on the spiritual lives of everyone around the world. Especially, those who've come in resonance with their songs.

The song itself trended in Nigeria last year so much so that it had a dance challenge. The vibes it employes cannot just be denied because the very moment you hear the instrumentation first, you're already made set unconsciously to shake our body.

"DARLING JESUS", is not so to say a new song rather the vibes is new. It is re-branded to be more appealing to the ears other than what you've always known it to be in a slow worship like manner.

When we address someone as "DARLING" it automatically means that such a person is dear to our hearts 💕. For us to sing and address JESUS as DARLING means also that he is so dear to our hearts 💕 and we hold him in high esteem regardless.

We on this other side of the world tried to make music more meaningful and appreciable. Kudos to all musicians with particular respect to Nigerian (African) musicians who thrived in the world of entertainment. Who brings the heavens down to the earth. Who made us see God in all things and in everywhere.

You sing, you praise God. You dance, you praise God. You pray, you praise God. All of these are an acknowledgement of his wonderment in our lives as his subject. Firmly, I could say with my whole heart that God exist and so I reverence him.

For this week, I'll play an IGBO CATHOLIC HYMN titled "AYI ARIO GI... EZICHUKWU", meaning WE ASK YOU...KING or WE BESEECH THEE

This hymn is mostly song during Catholic worship at mass. It's a song of supplication and for those who are igbo; they'll perfectly understand deep.

Anytime the song is song at mass, you could feel its solemn move and goosebumps overshadows you without any invite.

Am offering to God our sacrifice with all our hearts 💕 begging him to accept it.

What do we have to offer to go's other than our very selves. The most perfect thing to do; however, this self offering isn't just physical but beyond that.

I all our dealings, it is most important to take into consideration others around us. By doing this, we extend that charitable hands towards another.

What does God love? Charity is what he so loved that we show to others too. Asking and asking and asking. Not tired of asking. But then again, appreciation to who you ask from after obliging you for more benefits.

Everyday is an opportunity for thanksgiving. Everyday is an opportunity to show love. Everyday is an opportunity to make sacrifice for others because go's showed us how to do that being that first to make sacrifice.

Trying something isn't a bad idea at all. So, trying kindness and love can not drain or kill or harm in any form. Rather, it gives strength 💪, encourages and often motivates.

For this third round of the contest, I shall play a cover of "CAN'T HELP FALL IN LOVE" the version of ANDREA BOCELLI.

When I saw this version performed by BOCELLI, I drew deep meaning to it. This man is visually impared yet spread the message which carries love. The voice he produced became a healing on the soils of his listeners and audience. That alone got me deeply involved to choosing to play it in his own version.

Love is a simply word yet profound and deep taking. Everyone in the world speaks about love. Everyday, on the pulpit in the Church, in the Mosque love is sang. Everywhere carries with it the four(4) letter words LOVE. And so it is said, the greatest is love.

Often times too, we misunderstood love to mean exploitation or manipulation. We use the language of love to deceive, exploit, play around others intelligence just to have our way.

How long then would we continue to misuse this?

    》PUT DIFFERENTLY HOWEVER,

Coming into relationship. The song began with the saying of the wise just watching the fools rushing into love ♡.

Does it mean also that everyone who's inlove is a fool?
Obviously, to love one must turn foolish because there are things ordinarily one wouldn't do or engage in; yet can't help see them doing it.

The rivers deep, the mountains high with hill but with love all of those doesn't matter. One is genuinely going to sacrifice just because of love.

Hence, if you're inlove guard and protect it, trust it, adore it, respect it and above all remain genuinely in it.

Cuando vi esta versión interpretada por BOCELLI, le encontré un significado profundo. Este hombre es discapacitado visual pero difundió el mensaje que transmite amor. La voz que produjo se convirtió en una sanación en los suelos de sus oyentes y audiencia. Eso solo me involucró profundamente para elegir tocarlo en su propia versión.

To be able to get to school would mean that we got to cover or beat some distances not once or twice but so many times till graduation.

However, high school is where we expand more our knowledge about the world. We gain exposure and gather experiences. We learn a whole lots of things that will practically enhance our future.

Unfortunately, it is not every one who have the opportunity of attending a high school. That not withstanding the fact that, even some who have attempted high school or not or those who have actually graduated could have some similar understanding of the basic things.

The difference will be clear in arguments and the placement of things analytically.

But then, another important thing is that high school brushes pure, cubwebbing all webbed mindset and showcases one to the reality about life and all.

Bette Midler portrayed much of meaning in his song. In all our distances, God is watching every move. Therefore, even in our distances, we oughtto have it in mind that there is a higher mind, a higher eyes looking. This presupposes carefulness and diligence in every of our actions.

This is my first jamming entry in this hallowed community; using my SAXOPHONE 🎷 along with Karaoke 🎤 instrumental.

The song sang about equality despite our differences. In our respective carrier and endeavors, every human person ought to be respected, honored and referred.

What ever form you are, another too is in another form. Meaning that, each form ain't superior to the other.

All of us will die one day. Whether we lived thousand years does not matter; rather what matters is that death will knock and once it comes no one can escape or play prank on it.

She further depict in her song the biblical verse of:

"who's without a sin should be the first to pick up a stone"

This was the very words of Jesus to the people who brought so to say a SINNER before him for judgement; and or probably condemnation. (Cf John 8:7)

Life is not all about your policies all of the time. You gotta rearrange yourself and accommodate others as same as you are.

In all of the philosophies that we might have, there must be some kind of accommodating zone for others. Throwing stone in the market place is but very dangerous because you might you hit one of your own.

Care is to be employed at every corner of our lives. Regarding others is a worthwhile thing to do.

Respect, love and cherish people. Pay homage, live and let live is a simple maxim that should guide everyone through life. The year is still fresh; so LIVE AND LET LIVE

La canción cantaba sobre la igualdad a pesar de nuestras diferencias. En nuestras respectivas carreras y esfuerzos, cada persona humana debe ser respetada, honrada y referida.

Sea cual sea la forma en que te encuentres, otro también lo es en otra forma. Lo que significa que cada forma no es superior a la otra.

Todos moriremos algún día. No importa si vivimos mil años; lo que importa es que la muerte llamará a la puerta y una vez que llegue, nadie podrá escapar ni hacerle bromas.

Además, describe en su canción el versículo bíblico:

"Quien esté libre de pecado, que sea el primero en recoger una piedra"

Estas fueron las mismas palabras de Jesús a las personas que trajeron a un PECADOR ante él para que fuera juzgado; y probablemente condenado. (Cf. Juan 8:7)

La vida no se trata solo de tus políticas todo el tiempo. Tienes que reorganizarte y adaptarte a los demás tal como eres.

For this week, I shall play yet another beautiful piece from DON MOEN titled SHOUT TO THE LORD

Joy is associated with humans whom are given intellects, wisdom and will. However, our will is free and neve coerced in any form. This means that every genuine actions are never forced to come by.

From all indications, certain circumstances would reshape and place someone on the threshold of wondering about so many things. And so, we hear words like "guy no joy o or i no get joy at all o"

This expression often comes when sometimes one feels discouraged or feels rejected.

Everyone desires joy and so on. But, how can we be joyful?
It's simply not in so hard a thing or so much a thing as we often think. To have joy could be in a simple approach to life such as not over emphatic about things. Not being too serious as not to free the self from certain burdens of time.

Life is hard already and so creating extra burden for the self but indulging in things that the body doesn't call for would automatically breed lack of joy.

The song says we should shout for joy. This gives a clear indication of hope. It means too, that God is the joy giver and so our lives each day should be geared towards that joy fountain.

The fountain that can never run dry and can never drown anyone.

Shout for joy for life. Shout for joy for providence of God.

Grant yourself joy by living simple and making do only with one can gather.
Overacting would in not way be a remedy to anything. Rather, the joy of the Lord is our strength.

Its a dedication to all African nations at large and particularly Nigeria here on Hive.

The song is calling for unity, for progress. Begging for equality and empathy.
Nigeria presently faces a huge hardship. The economy is in shambles and there is not a single stability in any sector. However, this song is a kind of a reminder to our leaders. Infact, cutting across all nations, to think together, work together, be generous in both ideas and otherwise.

Defending our land to restore peace, love and unity.

There are lots of prospects in our nation and so we believe in her competence and focus.

This has as it were a strong call for patriotism. For love, for peace, for unity and progress. Just like taking out a single broom, you can break it but once they're all together you cannot easily break it.

We are many from different tribes and tongue yet oneness is the call each day. Unity in diversity is the watchword not minding distance in any form but staying within and making positive contributions for the growth of our nation.

Nigeria is great. Nigeria is green. Nigeria is blessed with so many natural mineral resources. If we put all these resources in use for the betterment of all, then development and successes won't be far fetched.

Other nations would long to visit Nigeria. Other peoples would long to include in their tour profile that they visited Nigeria in Afirca.

This week I shall present us with a song titled "WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS", the version of "ALAN JACKSON"

Any traveler needs a companion; in otherwords a FRIEND. Traveling is a beautiful adventure which often time are full of giving experiences to a person or group as the case maybe. Experience they say "IS THE BEST TEACHER"

This theme really suits at this time of the year as it has not yet gotten much into the year. Because so many who travelled during the festive season have returned back or some are yet to. So listening to each participants here with their best given renditions could help shape some thoughts.

However, the best friend to travel with at this point is JESUS CHRIST our friend and helper.

As a matter of fact, our lives on earth are full of journeys. Each day we witness alove is a journey. Most importantly, we are all journeying towards the eternal land away from this present world.

Hence, how do we prepare each of our journies(travels) that we make?

Don't forget that JESUS is the best choice of a friend for this travel. Make him a choice daily and not an option.

Greetings to you all on this hallowed platform filled with talented individuals.

I'll play a song by DON MOEN titled "GIVE THANKS"

Beginning this week's run. I'll begin with thanksgiving to God for everything. It's already the thirteeth days into the new year. God has been faithful.

True as it is said "HE WHO'S NOT GRATEFUL IS A GREAT FOOL

Gratitude breeds awesome favors. Showing thanksgiving is a way of recognising solidly and acknowledging what another has done for you.

In this case it is God who's the sole determinant of our being.

Gratitude and thanksgiving open new doors for whoever show them. In our home as children, we thank our parents for whatever they do for us to motivate them to do even more greater things. In our offices, we show appreciation to our Bosses and mistresses not because we need promotion but because it is rhe right thing to do.

In whatever thing we do. What ever is our level in life; the moral lessons taught by life is to be actively involved in being human. Being human entails cheerfulness, loving, communion, giving, expressions of thanksgiving, etc.

God gave all he had for us which is his only SON JESUS CHRIST for us to be saved from eternal damnation. What love could've been shown more than that love of a father to US his creatures.

For God so loved the world that he gave us his only Son. He came for our sake.
Now, what do we do in return if not to give thanks?

Ot course, our lives wouldn't have been meaningful if CHRIST didn't come to die for our sins.

And so, we continually say THANK YOU LORD always.

Glorious would 2025 be for everyone. For something to be glorious is from glory. A magnificent horizon like ours is glorious. A new year 2025 like this is glorious burning out of the mercies and benevolence of God.

I brought this song here to share with you all and to key your minds into something great. First, our lives is a gift from God who created us following from the beliefs of Christians.

Everywhere we find ourselves is of a great purpose and which we too must made it a point of duty to exhibit worthy character of emulations.

It's most glorious to rediscover oneself. By this, the aim of life could easily make meaning.

Like a symphony, so melodious, so inviting and encouraging. Life has so many lessons to teach every of us. However, how we disposed ourselves to learning these lesson matters.
