It's my first post here, and I'm glad to participate in the Afri-Christmas Volume 4 Contest.

I would have missed it, but here I am finally bringing you the cover of "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town", which was inspired by my nephew (who is also my godson, 6 years old now).

My nephews and niece visited to spend a week before Christmas, and it was fun staying with them as they sang Christmas songs for me, especially my niece (4 years old), who is already interested in music. She loves to watch me sing and wants to be a singer. Haha.

I told her she can be whoever she wants to be, and as she grows in wisdom and strength, God will guide her path to fulfil her purpose of creation.

Moving on, they sang this song, and then I told them that I had a video to show them. So, it was a video of my godson singing "Santa Claus is coming to Town" when he was 2 years old. He was so cute. I love to video them in their cute moments whenever they visit. So, they all laughed as they watched the video of their brother singing.

"Santa Claus is Coming to Town" reveals what we have always believed about Santa Claus, knowing that he always comes with gifts to give to children during Christmas.

Children love gifts, and my nephews and niece said they have written their Christmas list, wishing for Santa Claus (their parents, haha) to gift them.

While singing this song, I altered a few of the lyrics, which are included in the video and will also be featured in the lyrics section.

For the first time, I'm here to share my musical talent with you in the Neoxian Talent Hunt. This is also my first post in this community, and I'm glad I finally made it here.

The time I discovered this Talent hunt by @samostically, I decided to cover "How Can You Not", by Leanna Crawford.

"How Can You Not" is a song of praise and gratitude to God, realising that despite the challenges we face, God is with us in every moment of our lives. His goodness shines through.

Sometimes, we tend to be focused on the challenges we face, and when we ask God for blessings, and it is delayed, we think he is not with us or doesn't want to grant our desires and needs; we fail to notice his love for us and his presence in every situation, which sustains us.

God is not far from us; he is everywhere we go. Look at the beauty of his creation, in admiration, it is healing. So, why can't we notice his presence even in the slightest moment?

Whenever I am down and things are not going as planned, I remember the things God has made possible in my life and express my gratitude.

Give thanks to God for his goodness and presence, the gift of life, because truly, without him, we can do nothing. His love for us, his children, is immeasurable.

I had fun and enjoyed performing this song with so much emotion and style.

I am glad to share the cover of this song, and I hope you enjoy it, believe and begin to see God in every little moment of your life. I hope this inspires you.

This might be a long read but it is worth it.

This is the Vibes Web3 Music Competition Week 20, it has been an amazing ride. For this week I covered the song "WHO I AM" by Wyn Starks. I found this song on INLEO Threads, on the 16th July, 2024. 👇

As a result of feeding the INLEO ecosystem with data in different niches to strengthen the Hive blockchain and also train LEOAI (which hopefully, will be launched before the end of 2024), I got into the activities of Music On Leo (as a music lover) which had a threadcast called PartyTime On Leo where different genres of music are shared which bring back memories.

While I was engaging with other creators on threads, I found "WHO I AM" on my For You feed and that was what caught my eyes- "WHO I AM"

In order not to miss the thread, I instantly clicked on it to listen to the song shared by @sergiomendes, he wrote this

I am so addicted to this song.

And I replied this

Wow! I love this song and the artist has a powerful voice. I could play this all day. The lyrics have a powerful message too, the kind of lyrics I love.

The instrumental trapped me and I fed on the lyrics, I was blown away, the lyrics hit me like a bullet, 'the bullet' I needed at that time to embrace ME and WHO I NEED TO BECOME, my imperfect musical life and talent, my imperfect lyrics crafting and the other aspects of me, the REALITY I need to live.

The lyrics did not only deliver a message, it was delivered with a powerful voice and I said to myself, "This will be my entry in one of the Vibes Weekly Competition".

The time is here and I thought I would have missed Week 20 because it has been a busy month for me and that is why I shot this video earlier (10 days ago), I had so much reflection about this song, my writing journey and my love for music and for the people and what I need to bring to the world.

Coincidentally and unknowingly, I shot this cover video "WHO I AM" on 10th September, Wyn Starks birthday and when I saw his story on IG, I sent in my wishes. I was meant to publish it earlier than now and even as I write, I'm pouring my heart out😔.

I want to be able to live freely and not hide any skill or talent, doing all I love and making a positive impact. At times, it takes me time to share my music talents here even as I have started doing so. I plunge into so many thoughts and reflections, good and bad, but that won't stop me.

It's either you motivate yourself and bring out the hidden YOU or you just let it keep sleeping and drowning with ideas that are sinking in the ocean.

I did a little research on the artist, Wyn Starks and found out he sang this song at AGT 2022 after he lost his twin who has been the biggest support in his music career and got laid off during Covid-19, he was moved to do music full time and WHO I AM was a tribute song to his late twin brother.

This song resonates with me so much because, at a point, I didn't understand why I was scribbling my thoughts, creating motivational and wisdom quotes (I'm glad have touched and transformed some minds), and writing perfect or imperfect lyrics.

I knew I loved and still love to sing while cooking, in the shower, while doing house chores and when taking a walk. I needed more, I picture myself singing on stage (hopefully, it will happen one day again).

Being in an environment where some talents are overlooked and not cherished, you only have yourself to motivate you and the few who support you.

I remember the first time I desired to sing on stage was at my high school graduation.

I can't see where my ideas are leading me but they are not sleeping anymore, the door is open now, and I hope to use my voice not only in singing but also in other areas that concern me to touch lives and transform minds.

I personalised verse 2 of the song, changing the pronouns from "Him to Her" because all I saw was myself in the picture, the lyrics.

It's Vibes Web 3.0 Music Competition Week 13 and for my entry, I will be doing the cover of the song "Remember" by Lauren Daigle.

We have been faced with challenges in our lives and at times we are tempted to think that God has abandoned us, that we are alone in our difficult situations because we don't receive the solutions or answers to our prayers when we need them.

We forget the times God came through for us even without us seeking his face. He is always with us to lead and protect us because we can't do things in our power.

I remember the day (23rd August 2017) I was praying in my room with a candle in the middle of the night and in deep meditation, I slept and woke up to a flaming fire on my table, my room was quite smoky.

I knew only a big bucket of water could put it out but guess what, I put it off with my mouth. You read that rightly. No, I was not the one, I don't have the power to do that. I'm feeling emotional right now.

At that point, I knew I was not alone, well, I was, physically but not spiritually. I was in shock throughout that day thinking about what happened because I couldn't believe it. How can I put out that fire with my mouth as if it were a candle?

Truly, God is with us, I know it, I have felt it, I have seen it and this is just one of the wonders I have experienced from Him. Oh! There is more.

So when I find myself in any difficult situation, I remember the times He was faithful to me and I hold onto my faith and trust in Him.

As you read this, I want you to know that God loves you and He is always in your story.

Hello music lovers.

It is Vibes Web 3.0 Music Competition Week 10 and the theme is Eurovision. I researched the list of songs for Eurovision 2024 and finally chose "The Tower" by Luna representing Poland.

Hello Hivers. Happy new week to you all.

It's @winanda here, and it's another Sunday to exhibit some skills and creativity for the Hive Learner's Creative Sunday Initiative and for today, I bring to you a cover of "God’s Spirit is in my heart (Go tell everyone)" by Kevin Mayhew. Although this song has other versions as it is a hymn with lyrics having some Bible verses in it.

This song brings joy to the soul and good news to everyone all over the world as God has sent his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to heal and save us from our infirmities and iniquities, we are witnesses to His love and mercy.

No matter the situation we are facing, no matter how long it would take, we are sure that God will see us through and so we need to be firm in our faith.

Hello music lovers.

It is Vibes Web 3.0 Music Competition Week 7 and for my entry, I bring to you a new release, Space In My Heart by Enrique Iglesias featuring Miranda Lambert.

This songs depicts two people who found each other and want to give love a chance as the man (Enrique) makes the first move to have a perfect start with a pick up line in other to make the woman (Miranda) stay. With the affection growing inside of them they are convinced giving a trial would not be a mistake. Even though they may not love each other yet, they feel this strong emotions with the hope they will fall in love soon.

No matter what happens, they don't care what it is, they crave to be very close wherever it may be and if at all anyone leaves, thy would still be convinced that the space in their heart is a perfect fit for them.
They have this burning desire to remain in love and make it work for as long as it would last.

Enrique Iglesias is one of my favourite artists and finding out about this song, I had it in mind for one of my entries and here I am performing it before you. I enjoyed singing it and had fun editing it and I hope you enjoy my performance and find the love you seek. 😍 ❤️

Hello Vibes Community! It's @winanda here for the Vibes Web 3.0 Music Competition Week 6, I am doing the cover of Lead Me To The Cross by Hillsong United. This song feeds my soul and it is one of the songs I love to sing and listen to when I need to reflect on my spiritual life especially this period, the three days before Easter.

God's love for humanity is immeasurable and so we are redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ on the Cross at Calvary.

Easter is near, there is no Easter celebration without the Crucifixion of the Lord Jesus Christ, and so the lenten season is a period to commemorate the passion of Christ, practice self-examination and intentionally journey with Him and improve our spiritual life.

The precious blood of Jesus Christ washed our sins and made us whole again. For me, I'm clueless and nothing without God in my life. His resurrection is near and we will rise with him.

Lead Me To The Cross is a song that touches deep in my soul and makes me so emotional reflecting on the Passion Of Christ. I hope you enjoy my performance and maybe it could also feed your soul.

I am extremely grateful for God’s love for me and all I desire is to live a life of service to God in all I do, a life that would please Him and would touch lives.
