The entire city of Ciudad Guayana, and consequently the entire state of Bolívar in Venezuela, possesses what could be described as magical lands, an endless array of landscapes and natural sites that beautify every environment we can see. It is a truly harmonious world; in every corner of this state, we can appreciate the grandeur of its nature. This is precisely what I show in this video and photographs, where you can see each of the edifices belonging to Cachamay Park in Puerto Ordaz, one of the city's most important natural parks. Besides being practically in the heart of the city, its proximity makes it very accessible, and it's like stepping into another world. You might not feel like you're in the same place as the city, but you are.

This short but refreshing visit to the park, which I hadn't been to for several months, was intended to capture some scenes I might not have seen before, including details of its rivers and waterfalls, as well as its surroundings comprised of large trees and lush vegetation. Beyond that, I also wanted to take some videos. While some scenes are aesthetically pleasing, almost like photographs, others show the movement of the water in its extensive waterfalls, which share the same name as the park.

This visit was a truly radiant day. After intense rains, which are unusual for this time of year, the sun finally arrived, making it the perfect opportunity to see how the river and waterfall are still flowing strongly. The sound is so powerful that you can hear it as soon as you enter the park—a sound that I find incredibly relaxing, like a heavy, steady, and rapid downpour. These and other things are what make this place so special. I've been visiting it my whole life, ever since I was a child when my parents used to bring me here, and even now, as an adult, I feel the same way about it.

For the video, I wanted to show a sequence of certain parts of the park with details of its surroundings, but also with the intention of including a bit of the sound of the waterfalls. Although it's only faintly audible due to the music I created for this video, the original sound in the scenes where we see water and waterfalls was so loud that the camera didn't capture it very clearly. In fact, even without the waterfalls or water appearing in the scenes, the sound could still be clearly captured, accompanying you in every corner of the park. For me, it's a wonderful part of the sensory experience.

It's also a blend of the visual—everything we see with those beautiful natural tones—the sounds of the place, and even a touch of the tactile, as you can feel the water splashing in certain areas closer to the waterfalls. Eternal waterfalls that never cease their constant cascade, a state they have maintained for thousands of years. These places, due to their geological and geographical formation, have existed for a very long time, spanning several eras. Perhaps they have changed at certain times, or perhaps also due to human intervention. While this park is almost entirely natural, it was initially shaped by human activity, including the design and construction of certain paths and even buildings.

Always green routes, endless paths, trails amidst lush vegetation and air so pure it invigorates you. This is how I show, both in photos and in videos, what I normally do in my routines when I want to take pictures and be in contact with nature. And this time, this tour shows parts of Leofling and Cachanay parks, and specifically Cachamay Island, a place I've been meaning to visit for some time but hadn't yet planned.

These parks have certainly become part of my routine, in addition to taking advantage of the simple fact that they are very close to where I live. Therefore, I take advantage of that geographical benefit, since normally in other cities, natural parks or waterfalls are far from the city, even taking a while to drive, and in my case, I can even walk. It's undoubtedly a great gift of nature that everyone can take advantage of, to be in harmony after being in the complex routine of the city, where everything is very hectic and the total chaos of everything that a metropolis can entail.

This time, I'm also showing you a small video clip of that tour, especially during my visit to Cachamay Island. This jungle area is surrounded by several small rivers throughout the island. The waters of the eternal Caroní River are present everywhere, and you can't lose sight of the city of Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela, or the Macagua Dam complex, where you can see the large floodgates of the dam's spillways. These places undoubtedly offer a very different energy, in addition to being able to breathe the purest air of our nature and the presence of the eternal green of the vegetation. Therefore, these will always be places I will visit frequently, where, with each new exploration, I learn more about every corner of these natural parks.

Greetings to everyone! Today I come for the first time in this community, because the theme of this community caught my attention. Since I usually walk a lot in the city where I currently live, Puerto Ordaz, either to run errands or to take street photos, which is what I usually publish on this platform. And so it was worth showing this route from today, when I decided to run an errand to a part of the city known as the Loreto Tower.

After saying goodbye to my wife who had to go take a course that day, I made the decision to walk to that place I mentioned earlier, I could have taken a bus but I preferred to take advantage of the morning to walk around the city a bit. A journey that I made of approximately 2.5 km, and the fact is that Puerto Ordaz is not that big, or at least from the point where she lives everything is practically close to me, so I generally move to almost all places on foot.

What I like about this route is that you can see iconic places of the city, such as the Plaza del Hierro, the old abandoned Ferris wheel, the Plaza de Las Banderas and even pass by the famous Parque de La Navidad with its emblematic windmill, without a doubt there are several perfect places to visit at short distances.

Although on the other hand this city is made up of many hills, and sometimes the walks tend to be up and down, from the place where I live you start to climb a hill to a place called Alta Vista, so that after passing through Parque de La Navidad as you can see in the video you start to descend a large hill, even normally in the afternoons people exercise by climbing these hills, and really doing it on a bicycle is a challenge in condition.

For today, moving away a little from the routine of street photography I bring you this series of photos where the motifs have to do more with the theme of the catalogue style, but it is not that I am putting together a catalogue, but I am simply testing how to get better images, and this time I wanted to compose these images with high contrast and perhaps oversaturating more the motifs in question, so that it will stand out more with the characteristic white background.

Among the motifs that we can see, there are small legos from the anime series Naruto simulating a fight, the cover and album of one of my favourite bands, which is contrasted well by its black tone, as well as a small statue of the series The Office and what can be seen in detail a colourful box. All these motifs are highlighted by their colours and tones, as well as their contrast within the scene.

Therefore this photographic work, also serves as practice for this type of photography that is not usual in what I normally do, which is to go out on the street to do urban, architectural and landscape photography, but how the world of photography is so wide, that one can investigate and learn about their different themes or styles. In addition I must emphasize that I have mounted a video of the same photographs where you can see a little of the application of transitions between photos.

Un domingo como hoy mientras salí hacer algunas compras de rutina para la casa, aproveché el hecho de salir como siempre con mi cámara fotográfica y me dispuse hacer algunas tomas o grabaciones del entorno donde vivo, una residencia donde vive muchas personas, pero además hay mucha vegetación y algunas imágenes interesantes para la captura, por lo que procedí a capturar que me interesaron durante el atardecer.

Por consiguiente, en este video corto de 1 minuto vemos diferentes tomas de esas imágenes de un domingo como cualquier día, donde las personas salen un rato durante la tarde para compartir con su familia o hacer otros tipos de actividades, mientras que también se puede visualizar el rocío del sol sobre este entorno.

Desde la captura en detalle de mi gata Kittie que se encuentra desde la ventana de mi apartamento como viendo un poco el exterior, así como también la captura de aves, otros gatos, la naturaleza y momentos donde las personas están compartiendo o simplemente pasando una tarde al aire libre.

Además del video, también en este post podemos ver algunas capturas de fotogramas del video, cada una con una cualidad que la hace diferente entre las tomas.

Muchos aspectos de nuestras vidas generan nostalgia, porque son experiencias que nos trae buenos recuerdos conforme van pasando los años, desde viajes, festejos, deportes que en algún momento practicastes, la música o incluso como es el caso de este post nostalgia por una consola de videojuegos, y sin duda alguna para mí el Nintendo 64 marcó un hito para mí vida y siempre lo recuerdo con mucho cariño, por el simple hecho de ser un medio de entretenimiento de mi infancia, donde compartí muchas horas con mis amigos y primos.

Cuando tenía aproximadamente 8 años fue cuando tuve mi primera consola de videijuegos y fue un Nintendo 64 que me regalo mi mamá luego de que había tenido un accidente por la cual tuve que pasar casi unos 3 meses sin caminar, y para pasar el rato mi mamá quiso comprarme dicha consola, que actualmente ya no lo poseo pero mi esposa si me regalo una idéntica hace más de 1 año con unas 5 cintas de juegos, tal como muestro en las fotografías.

Para mi el Nintendo 64 era lo mejor y aunque en la actualidad es una consola muy anticuada, aun sigo teniendo espacio para jugar un rato, incluso más que cualquier videojuego actual, que en realidad no me ha interesado en comprar una consola aparte de tener un Playstation 3 y el Nintendo 64.

Antes con mi primer Nintendo 64 llegue a tener hasta 50 cintas de videojuegos, aunque normalmente jugaba con unas 10, entre títulos que me encantaban como Ken Griffey Jr, 007, Tony Hawk's, Turok, Super Mario Bros, Rush, Spiderman y entre otros más títulos de juegos que nunca olvidaré, sin embargo hoy sólo tengo 3 juegos que me gustan mucho como es 007, Rush y Tony Hawk's, y cuando tenga la oportunidad compraré otros juegos que vaya encontrando.

En ese tiempo la tecnología que ofrecía el Nintendo 64 era magnífico, llegando a tener más fama por un tiempo que la Playstation. Recuerdo que todo el mundo quería tener un Nintendo 64, era como el mejor regalo del día del niño que podías recibir y uno podía pasar muchas horas jugando, pasando las misiones, aunque ahora no tengo esa habilidad como antes, simplemente juego para entretenerme un poco sin estar pendiente de pasar las misiones, es por el mero hecho de esa nostalgia de esa parte de mi infancia.

Por otro lado, siempre he dicho que el Nintendo 64 era muy duradero, se me podía caer miles de veces al piso y la verdad que no sufría algún tipo de daño, siempre decía que era una consola de hierro, y en su tiempo la estética de sus controles y la misma consola eran simplemente maravillosa, aunque en parte a veces no me gustaba cuando las cintas comenzaban a fallar y casi que uno podía hacer magia para que siguiera sirviendo el juego, desde el hecho de soplar o pasarlo unos hisopos a la cinta, son cosas que me traen recuerdos de esta consola.

Para quienes hemos tenido esta consola o lo tengamos aún actualmente, sabemos que el Nintendo 64 fue unas de las mejores de los años 90, marcó una evolución en el mundo de los videojuegos que perduró por muchos años y espero seguir manteniendo el Nintendo 64 por varias décadas, así como seguir encontrando más videojuegos que me encantaban, de tal manera que mis hijos, sobrinos o cualquier persona conozca de esta maravillosa consola como una reliquia del mundo de los videojuegos.

Para este post les dejo un video grabado por mi mismo jugando los juegos que tengo en este momento, y así puedan disfrutar de como eran estos juegos de esa época.

Últimamente mis recorridos por el parque Cachamay en la ciudad de Puerto Ordaz, estado Bolívar- Venezuela, han sido muy concurrentes debido a que el trayecto que hago hacia mi trabajo suelo quedarme en la parada del parque y me tomo un tiempo para hacer un recorrido rápido y tomar algunas fotografías nuevas, es algo que no dejaré de hacer por un tiempo.

Y en este caso aparte de hacer algunas fotografías quise hacer unas grabaciones del parque, de la cual lo edité con una duración exacta de 1 minuto, de manera que se pueda apreciar algunos de los puntos importantes de este hermoso parque, aunque no es el recorrido completo, porque en el realidad es un parque que tiene grandes extensiones de vegetación y ríos.

Asi tal cual como se puede ver en el video, donde se puede visualizar el bosque de la zona, así como también las cascadas del Cachamay que en este momento el agua se encuentra muy alta por la temporada de lluvia, aunque no es obstáculo para visitarlo y disfrutar de un momento con la naturaleza.
