So today, I have finally decided to come out of my shell to present this song by Sasha Alex Sloan titled Older, and see ehn honestly, this actually feels like a small but a very important win for me.

It has been a really long time since I had the intention of joining this talent hunt, like I have watched others participate, I cheered them on silently, and told myself that maybe One day, I will do this too,n But Omo, every time that day came close, something would always hold me back, and that thing was being on camera… plus learning song lyrics, hmmm this one alone used to scare me more than it should.

Seriously, I don’t know why, but memorizing lyrics has never been my strong point, truth is, I can love a song deeply, sing it in my head, even feel every emotion in it, but once it is time to actually perform it, my brain just starts acting like it is brand new , as if it hasn't been used before, I don't know if anyone understands how that feels, so because of that, I kept postponing, i kept giving myself excuses that maybe next time, or I will think “Let me practice more.” “I’m not ready yet.”

But today, I told myself enough is enough, to think I spent a full seven days trying to learn this lyrics, seriously o seven whole days, and even after all that effort, the lyrics still didn’t stick the way I wanted them to, and at some point, I just laughed at myself because imagine trying so hard and still feeling unsure,but then I asked myself a very important question, would I let this stop me again?

The answer was no, a very loud no, so here I am, actually nervous, yes I would say, and slightly unsure, yes, but also proud of myself for finally deciding to showing up, so this is me choosing not to hide anymore and this is me choosing to try, even if it is not perfect.

So "Older" is a song that speaks a lot of truth and reflection, and I felt really connected to it in my own kinda way, the connection to this songalone gave me the courage to stand in front of my phone camera and just this presentation.

Victorious is a High School movie that I love so much, I think I started watching this movie like a few years ago. One thing I love about it is the musical part of it . I had been thinking about a song to present for this week 28 as we all know there is no theme for this week so I decided to make this rendition. I had intentionally decided on a song to sing before I changed my mind to sing this one I had asked my sister to back me up in a particular song but after getting to her house we decided to change our mind on my choice of song because I wasn't getting the second parts of the song and she also couldn't just quickly memorize the second part so I had to settle for this iniko song. Hello everyone, welcome to Hive learners creative Sunday, so it's been a while since I have made an entry here on Creative Sunday and I'm so excited to make an entry today, So today I'll be showing you all how I prepared egusi soup.
Egusi soup it's the local name here in Nigeria but it is also called melon in English so to make it more official and Sweeter I'm just going to stick with calling it egusi soup.

So without further ado I'll just go to I heard and tell you the process of making this delicacy so stay tuned.

Recipe:

Egusi
Palm oil
Crayfish
Seasoning
Salt
Pepper to be blended
Onion
Chicken
Kpomo
Stockfish.
Pumpkin leaf
Locust beans (optional)

PROCEDURES:

The first step is pouring your egusi in a bowl and adding water into the bowl of egusi

Next is preparing your pepper onion crayfish and whatever needs preparation

In this video I had already steamed my chicken the previous night that is why I don't have an image of the chicken being cooked so if you are using chicken, meat or fish you know that you are supposed to stem it, asini cook it a bit so that it doesn't have that rawl look and taste.

So to cooking proper, first I heat up my palm oil, add a bit of salt to it, according to my mom it is a good thing to add salt to the palm oil.

Next I added my onion blend mixed with pepper and crayfish, I stirred till saturated

Next I added my egusi , I was supposed to add the locust beans in with the peeper , so you can do this part like this too.

I stirred and stirred this mix so the egusi could fry well and have a good look at the end.

I went in with my chicken stock,cowskin,and stockfish, I stirred again so that it wouldn't get stuck to the bottom of the pot , I covered for a while and then went to add the chicken and seasoning, crayfish and salt to taste.

After it cooked for a while I added the pumpkin leaf and allowed it on the heat for some minutes and then I quenced the heat

I served this soup with semo, but it can be eaten with any swallow of your choice depending on what you prefer.

This Melon or Egusi Soup is a very nutritious soup here in Nigeria, it is very high in protein, fibre and essential fatty acids that the body needs, you definitely can't go wrong with egusi

I enjoyed preparing this meal for my family because it was the first meal of the year which was January 1st, Somehow I felt honoured to have been given the opportunity to cook for everyone nay home, even when visitors came , they were still served this soup.

Good morning from this side, it's another beautiful day and I am kinda excited about writing this morning because I woke up feeling energized unlike how I woke up yesterday and some days ago.

While going through my feeds on here on Hive I stumbled on this prompt, sincerely I have been pending writing about how I spend my last weekend , because normally it is something that I should have written about but , I kept pushing it and finally a chance present itself

So I will be going with the first topic as I already said and I will be telling you all how I spent my last weekend,so I implore you and to read till the end , don't skip anything cause you definitely want to see what I have got to say.

Last Weekend was spent with Amazing people from Hive , so for few weeks a hangout date was thrown on one of the numerous Hive WhatsApp groups I am on , I don't even remember how I joined the whatsapp group but I am glad I am on it, So the talk about having a Hangout came up and I got to know that this amazing person @trojan1 from there , he was the one hosting the hangout, There he asked if i was gamed to co-chef with him ,i happily agreed to this and there out conversation started, We were to donate certain amount of HBD for refreshments on this hangout which we did, Those who were non hiver were asked to contribute an amount of 5000naira to cover up theirs

Let's just say the hangout was to bring people together , get to know those faces behind accounts and truly it was kinda amazing. So over the week before the D-day I and Trojan planned the recipe for the meals and we talked about possible games that we would likely play at the Hangout and also there was also the shopping aspect of it.

We were supposed to have a minimum of 10 persons at the hangout And according to how Trojan talked bout it , but surprisingly we had more person , we were about 12-13 persons I guess which made the day more fun, okay I am gonna tag a few persons here as I remember their usernames , @trojan1 @zitalove @iam-gifted @tenesha @king-ray @winanda @robert.grace @fashtioluwa @obaro
The others I think aren't on hive yet.

So I met amarachi who also assisted with kitchen and cleaning duties, let's just say I, Trojan, and amarachi hosted, so through via the hangout amarachi created her account, she's @robert.grace don't know if I got that correctly .

So Saturday 4th January started with me leaving my father's house early in the morning so I could go to the venue which was about an hour's and some minutes journey, I got to the gate at around past 6am and had to wait at the gate for Trojan to open his gate , after several calls to him that morning, i had to wait web i remembered he and amarachi attended a vigil together the previous night , so I stoped calling and opened my whatsapp to watch video , it was past 7am when he finally decided to call back , he apologised for missing my calls and keeping out for so long. Apology accepted, fast forward to getting inside the house and I met amarachi said hello to her and immediately we hit it off as if we had known each other for long , we started the meal preparation and all, we cleaned at same time in preparation for our guest. Hehe.

So they started arriving, Miracle was first to arrive and he and amarachi argued over movies and stuff, and even though amarachi calls herself non social , truth is she still knows how to carry people along, so to me shes cool. Soon the house was filled with These amazing persons, also I can't get over Winanda’s cake ,I was a red velvet cake and I must tell you the cake was so delicious.

So the hangout was fun filled with music, games, movies , foooood too and drinks, where got me laughing was the last part where there was a food competition amongst the guys , that got me laughing really hard, so cornelius was the winner of this competition even though he started like he couldn't do it , he was the least person i thought would emerge the winner , silently was rooting for iam-gifted hehe.

Okay that aside also we went outside to take pictures , and this was another part I really liked aside from the meal preparation part.

Sadly everyone had to go home , cos Lagos and traffic and everyone understood that.

Sunday came and I was home , had plans to go swimming with my sisters and her friends, I decided to invite amarachi and after much dragging she agreed and we all met at the pool somewhere close.it was also fun to relieve the stress after Saturday’s event which turned out to be great and also Sunday went well too and somehow I felt so happy last weekend.

I definitely want another weekend like last weekend. Hehe. So I ve attached a few of our photos from the hangout in a video, so guys enjoy the view.

Hey guys, it's vibes web 3 music competition week 18, yay!!! Kinda excited about this one. I will be doing an acapella cover of the song “What dreams are made of” by Hillary duff. This is from the Disney movie “Lizzie McGuire” Mehn, it's been a really long time since I saw this movie but that doesn't stop the song from ringing in my head, I have always enjoyed watch Disney movies and always true to learn a song or two from it.

Hi everyone! I'm super excited to share my entry for Vibes web 3 music competition Week 17 with you all. This week, I've chosen a really special song - and it is titled "Freak the Freak Out" by Victoria Justice. I can't wait for you to hear it!

You know, this song takes me right back to my teenage years. I remember learning it word for word, practicing in front of my mirror, and singing along every time it came on TV. My sisters and I always had fun learning new songs from her. It's like a little time capsule of happy memories for me.

Victoria Justice, oh man, where do I even start? She was such a big part of my growing up. I used to watch her on Nickelodeon all the time. Her shows, her songs - they were a huge part of my life back then. It's funny how a TV star can feel like a friend, isn't it? Watching her perform always put a smile on my face and made my days brighter.

I think that's why I chose this song for the Vibes music competition. It's not just about the music (though the song is super catchy!), it's about all the good feelings tied to it.
