We've had a heck of a past few weeks! It started with our Tour of Czechia with Deloraine. This was the first time that we could test out some new equipment and also bring Todd on stage with us on Drums. We've known Todd for a decade now from the Berlin music scene. He is a brilliant drummer and a good friend of the band. While we were performing with "Just Like Clay" in Switzerland earlier this year, he approached us while playing as a part of a street project called "Buckit" and mentioned that if there were ever any shows where we needed a drummer, that he now was quite available. We thought immediately to this time in the Fall. After a few rehearsals together and a test spin at Admiralspalast (as you do...), we were ready to hit the road together for some bigger shows with Deloraine.

Todd absolutely smashed it! His experience as a street drummer really vibes with us, and he comes with a lot of musical ideas. The feedback from the 3 shows we played with him were immense! So much so, that it felt absolutely necessary to ask him to be the drummer for our big Prologue show on the 14th in Saxony!

The Prologue. This has been years in the making. In some ways, the idea was first born in the Pandemic, but it was far from the right time to try and realize such a project. As the years went by, it remained a lucid dream, but the ingredients weren't right. It began during our "cooking nights" in 2020. We would regularly invite friends over to ours for dinner and discuss life and different projects and aspirations. Renaldo Verde is one of those friends. Renaldo is an architect and a visual artist from Venezuela, who studied at University in Germany 15 years ago. He's been living in Berlin since, and become a part of our friend circle back in 2017. We were always impressed by him, because he was constantly being invited by different "Festival of Lights" events to travel all over Europe and do "Mapping" on different buildings. His concepts are brilliant.

During those Dinners 5 years ago, we started dreaming about a project that we could work on together. One that followed a story. One that added an immersive and dynamic component to our music, while at the same time allowed us to still be free and energetic on stage. As the idea for an entire Novel and Story-Album came to fruition over the past year, it was only logical that we would finally realize the project that we've dreamt of doing together. And so, with the input of the scenes from 5 tracks for the story, Renaldo has built an immersive projection sequence that will carry the story throughout our performance. This will debut on the 14th of November as the first part of the show!

This Video was the first recording of our test run without drums. It was a way to see if the images fit the story. It's far from final, but it gives you a peak of the quality and the scale at which we are trying to build. This is a fraction of what we envision to come from this show...

We hope seeing these scenes intrigues you to know more, because it is an exciting venture for us. Our creative minds are flowing!

We have had a most incredible year. As we prepare for our next BIG adventure, we took the time to dig through footage from the past months and what we've seen is incredible. From our humble beginnings as street corner troubadours, we continue to rise. You know, many years ago there were a lot of "Music Industry" people that believed that we would never go anywhere without drastically changing who we were. And while we have certainly morphed, matured and changed over the past decade... our core mission remains. A decade ago we "Lost Our Ties". Things have been as incredible as they have difficult. But above all, we've connected with so many of you along the way. In a world where it feels like we are becoming more disconnected, the connections that we have made with you through this music proves that our humanity remains. These videos show the incredulity of art. The happiness, the joy and the positivity that we can spread and share through Musical Catharsis. Together - "We Rise".

On our Web2.0 channels we started a new series called "Fantasy Fridays" where we have been posting videos of us performing short sections of very famous Fantasy tracks. We started with an absolute banger: Riders of Rohan from Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings films.

This soundtrack is one of the most Iconic of all Fantasy Films. Hopefully you enjoy the clip!

Disclaimer: It turns out it is illegal to use amplifiers in the park without a permit. We received a fine after the "show" was over. So while that was a bit of a bummer, it is important to note if you are ever thinking about trying to do something like that at one of the national parks in America!

"Storm Searching"; the prologue to an ambitious, narrative-driven story that will unfold throughout their upcoming album. With a darker, more progressive rock sound, this track marks a bold new direction for the band, pushing their creative boundaries and exploring themes of struggle, chaos, and transformation.

Drawing inspiration from their experience opening for Jethro Tull and collaborating with the German cello metal band Coppelius, "Storm Searching"; takes a deep dive into the darker side of The Trouble Notes; music. The track weaves together haunting melodies and powerful rhythms, evoking the overwhelming feeling of being caught in a storm—both literal and emotional.
Musically, the track is a journey through rising tension and release, with dramatic shifts that mirror the unpredictable nature of storms. The swirling violin melodies, thunderous percussion, and driving guitar riffs create a progressive rock landscape that’s both atmospheric and intense. The Trouble Notes’ signature blend of genres is present, but here it is reimagined through a heavier and more intricate lens.
"Storm Searching"; is just the beginning—a prologue to a larger story of human resilience and self-discovery. The track sets the stage for an epic narrative about facing uncertainty, finding purpose, and navigating through the darker chapters of life. It invites listeners to embark on a journey of introspection and transformation, making this track not only a new musical direction but the start of something much larger.

In the serene embrace of St Ives, where the cliffs stand as timeless witnesses to the endless tales of the sea, we find a moment of pure musical alchemy. Amidst this natural amphitheater, overlooking the vast, azure Atlantic ocean, a violin and a guitar come together in an improvisation that transcends time and space.

Filmed on the breathtaking cliffs of St Ives, this improvisation is as much a celebration of nature's grandeur as it is of human creativity and connection. It's a reflection on the journey, the stories we gather, and the universal language of music that speaks to every soul.

This week we wanted to share something with you that is truly special. First, it's important to note that we are fully aware that this will not count toward the official submissions for week 3 of the Vibes Web3 Music competition and will not be eligible to win, but we wanted to share it here anyway. We are full time touring artists on the road and aren't always able to have the time and stable internet access to be able to edit and prepare social media content, but it is a special experience and would be a shame to never share it here with the community.

This was played and filmed inside of the Milbury's pub in Bishop's Waltham, UK. We were taken here by some friends on an "off day" in between concerts and took one listen to the acoustics in this room and said "we need to film here..." What you are seeing is a 250year old Treadmill which was errected about a 300 foot stone well.We lowered a microphone into the well to pick up the natural reverberation of the chamber and played a new piece from us called "Sariette", a progressive version of which will be released in the next month on all of our digital streaming platforms.

We hope you enjoy listening to this piece and it will excite you to listen to the produced version in the next weeks. When you go to a concert, you will see the show that is prepared for you. Countless hours of rehearsal and preparation that goes into the show.. but sometimes the "real" musical moments happen in the backstage. If you've been following us here, you know that we have been full-time traveling musicians for a decade. We play 50+ shows per year across multiple continents and meet a lot of incredible performers and creatives along the way. That often culminates in a backstage "session", where we get together either before or after the show and just have a bit of a jam. Truthfully, this is where the real mooments of creation often happen.

In sessions you are experiencing a real moment of connection. You are free to make mistakes without judgment of the audience, and so you can push the bounds of your creativity. You are exchanging your vibes and passions with others. It is a raw moment of art.

This is a video of a little pre-show session that we had over the weekend. It's very folky, but we were just warming up a bit before taking the stage a few minutes later. There is something beautiful about this moment, seeing the smiles and the happiness on our faces as we jam together on a new theme for the first time.
