My entry for week 19 is a song a Nigerian artist named Burna Boy and the title of the song is Common Person.

I love this song because it talks about creating happiness for ourselves no matter the situation we are in. Sometimes people might look down on us due to the fact that they don't see us in the same "class" as them or they see us as a "common person", but in all we should always see ourselves for the unique person we are because we all have a role to play in this world. So we always find a way to create happiness for ourselves.

This is another week in the #vibes community. It's week 18 for the Vibes Web3 Music Competition.

This week's theme is a song from Disney Movies and of course there are lots to choose from but I decided to do a cover of a Remember Me (Recuérdame) from the movie "Coco".

I am not much of an emotional person but I can't really express what it is about this song that always gets to me anytime I listen to it. It's probably the father-daughter bond which was later passed on to their younger generation. I can't pinpoint it but I know it's a song I always love listening to.

For my presentation,i did a mix of Spanish and English language. It's crazy that despite the fact that Spanish isn't my language, I have always enjoyed the Spanish version of this song even more than the English version of it. So I decided to do a mix. I hope you enjoy watching.

Welcome to another week in the #vibes community. This is week 16 with a theme that takes us down memory lane.

My entry for this week is the cover of a theme song to a Tv Show I loved watching while growing up. The show is titled (H20:Just Add Water)

The Tv show revolves around three girls who were mermaids and their super powers which was related to water. The show ran from 2006-2010.

I remembered always wanting to listen to this theme song whenever it comes on. I learned the lyrics to the song by writing it down in a book and it was very easy to learn. and I will go on singing it whenever I am doing my house chores or just anything.

It got to a point a neighbor of mine told my mom I am singing a song telling everyone I belong to the "water", which is code for being a "mamiwater" (mermaid). It wasn't funny because you can trust Nigerian parents to reject and rebuke it on your behalf 😀😀😀.

This is another week for the #vibes Web3 Music Competition.

For week 15, I am presenting a song by Christina Perri titled Jar Of Hearts.

The song talks about someone reeling from the pain of heartbreak caused by an ex-lover. What happens when the person who broke your heart is trying to reconnect with you? Do you move on or give them the remaining pieces of your heart and let them grind it into dust? I bet some people would still choose the latter, I won't say I blame them though, love can be complicated sometimes.

Heartbreaks are never easy. It's not easy trusting someone with all your heart only for them to leave, causing you so much pain and hurt in the process. Moving on from such takes someone who is strong enough to pick up the pieces of their heart and learn to heal.

In line with the theme I would be presenting a song by Jordin Spark titled One Step At A Time

I chose this song because it talks about the importance of waiting for the right time and also taking things step by step.

Sometimes we believe that "time" is against us and we try to rush things that might make us end up taking the wrong decisions which we would end up regretting.

"Why not take it one step at a time". Sometimes all things needs to fall in place is time and patience, which I agree might not really be easy for most of us but we have to believe that "things will happen when it's supposed to happen"

This is the 14th week of the #Vibes Web3 Music Competition and the theme for the week is a song from "Sam Feldt discography" who is a Dutch DJ, record producer and entrepreneur.

After the announcement was made, I began to stream his songs and I must say that, it got to a point that I didn't even know which to pick because these songs are so amazing.

It's another week for the #Vibes Web3 Music Competition. It's been amazing and so far the community is growing with new people coming onboard and having a platform to showcase their talents.

My entry for week 13 is a song by a Nigerian artist named "Asa" and the song is titled Bibanke which translates to (When I'm Crying)

The song is about a lost love. This sometimes happens when a relationship hits rock bottom and a person is no longer interested while the other falls deeper in love which makes the latter do anything and everything to get the other to notice them till they could no longer keep up and they ends up becoming a shadow of themselves.

This kind of love starts out so sweet but turns sour along the way that one would wonder if there was a spell cast on them which is wearing off.

In situations like this, I believe it's best to let the other know their stance in the relationship instead of making them miserable by depriving them of all the love and attention they so much craved.

The song is a mixture of native Yoruba language and English.

The theme chosen for this week 12 is Pain and my entry to the Vibes Web3 Music Competition is a song by Bruno Mars titled "When I Was Your Man"

The song is one of pain and regret. It talks about a man who took his lover for granted, never giving her the time and attention she needed until he sees her happy with another man then he wishes he could turn back the hands of time and give her all she wanted.

The saying that " you don't know what you have till you lose it" is applicable to this song. It's funny how some people only appreciate people when they are no longer in their lives, it's more crazy when they start going lengths in getting them back into their lives, which begs the question "Why not put in that much effort in the first place?"

This is not only applicable to people but other things in our lives. This song should serve as a reminder to us all to always value people or things that are very important to us, else we would feel so much pain and regret when they are gone.

This is another week for the #vibes web3 music competition. I am rukkie and a special thanks goes to those working towards making this competition become bigger and better.

This is week 11 of the music competition and it's no surprising that more people are coming into the hive blockchain through Vibes and with its onboarding projects, I have no doubt that there will be more people here in no time.

For This week on #Vibes Web3 Music Competition, there is the use of a theme which I think is a very good idea by the way. All thanks to @lordbutterfly and the brains behind it all.

So the theme with the highest number of votes is A song from the 1960's. When I saw that this theme had the highest number of votes, I couldn't help but laugh because I actually find it interesting that we will be going way back to the 60's.

The first song that actually came to mind when I saw this theme was Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond

Sweet Caroline was released in 1969 by Neil Diamond. I came across the song the first time when I saw the movie "The Miracle Season" which told the story of Caroline Found and also from the Movie "Purple Hearts"

It's another week on hiveopenmic with a theme of POESÍA chosen by our spotlight artist @cesaramos and my entry for this week #206 is a song by RIHANNA titled STUPID IN LOVE. ,

This song is an heartfelt song which talks about how love sometimes makes us vulnerable. The singer tries to give her man another chance even when she had been hurt by him. Which begs the question, how can something as powerful as love makes us weak?

Es otra semana en hiveopenmic con un tema de POESÍA elegido por nuestro artista destacado @cesaramos y mi entrada para esta semana #206 es una canción de RIHANNA titulada STUPID IN LOVE.

Esta canción es muy sentida y habla de cómo el amor a veces nos hace vulnerables. La cantante trata de dar otra oportunidad a su hombre, aunque él la haya herido. Lo que nos lleva a preguntarnos cómo algo tan poderoso como el amor puede hacernos débiles.

La mayoría de nosotros nos encontramos en este tipo de situación. Sabemos perfectamente que tenemos que seguir adelante, pero nos cuesta dejarlo porque seguimos queriendo mucho a esa persona.
