In this video, I have compiled some beautiful scenes in and around Mittenwald that I captured during my latest hikes in the Austrian and Bavarian Alps.

Mittenwald was truly enchanting, and the natural surroundings there impressed me, my wife, and my dog samewise equally.
Crystal-clear streams and lakes, dense green forests, huge rocky mountains as far as the eye can see and as far and high as you can walk there.
Most of the hiking trails on the surrounding hills are just a bit more challenging than beginner trails. If you are an athletic hiker, there are also hiking trails for you that are steeper and more challenging. Mountaineers can also have a lot of fun around Mittenwald, as there are many trails up to the large rocks in the area.
I hope you enjoy this video (I'm still practicing making videos) and that it inspires you to explore the beautiful nature around Mittenwald.

Most trails around Bad Kohlgrub are pretty easy. It’s in the Alpine foothills, so it’s more hilly than mountainous.
Plus, the trail network is really well-marked, and there are benches all along the paths.
