Ésta es una semana más del Hive Open Mic,y la temática de esta semana me ha encantado, no sé por qué, pero al mirar la temática el primer tema que vino a mi mente fue "Yo soy tu amigo Fiel" de la película Toy Story, la pieza fue compuesta e interpretada originalmente por Randy Newman, y su versión en español fue interpretada por Ricardo Murguía.

Pensé en ésta pieza y quizás no en una más para un hijo, porque sentí que la temática se iba más a los niños, a como son de juguetones, traviesos e inteligentes. Y recordé a mi hijo, también pensé que yo aparte de ser su padre soy su amigo.

Mejor dicho, cuando los niños están peques, los únicos amigos que tienen para jugar, en quien confiar y con quien contar es con nosotros, sus padres.

Y bueno, cómo mencioné en el post del hmf se me hizo muy complejo grabar en otro lugar por motivos de clima y de tiempo, así que tuve que usar una sordina de estudio. Espero de igual forma puedan disfrutar de ésta pieza!!. Saludos y bendiciones!!. 🔥🥰

This is another week of Hive Open Mic, and I love this week's theme. I don't know why, but when I saw the theme, the first song that came to mind was “I'm Your Friend Faithful” from the movie Toy Story. The song was originally composed and performed by Randy Newman, and the Spanish version was performed by Ricardo Murguía.

I thought about this piece and perhaps not one more for a child, because I felt that the theme was more geared towards children, how playful, mischievous, and intelligent they are. And I remembered my son, and I also thought that apart from being his father, I am his friend.

In other words, when children are young, the only friends they have to play with, to trust, and to count on are us, their parents.

Bienvenidos todos amigos a mi presentación de ésta semana. Con la pieza Bésame Mucho de la compositora Consuelo Velázquez. Una canción muy emotiva con un ritmo tan rico o y que se ha versionado muchas veces, no conocer ésta canción es no haber escuchado nunca un bolero, una balada o un jazz latino, por que sí, ésta pieza está enriquecida con muchísimos ritmos.

Sabían que su compositora Jamás Había dado un beso?. O bueno en el momento que escribió esta pieza no lo había hecho, según relataría tiempo después nuestra querida Consuelo.

Es maravilloso saber ese dato, porque la música va mucho más allá que físico y que las acciones, se centran en el pensamiento, en los sentimientos y en el corazón.

Hoy elegí esta pieza para ésta entrada por su ritmo suave, además de que se me hizo muy tarde para grabar en la sede, el clima ha estado muy lluvioso últimamente, entonces aproveché mi sordina de estudio, que no es una sordina común, es un cuero sintético con dos disipadores de espuma que reducen el sonido un 50%.

Sí, grabar con ésta clase de sordinas no es muy práctico, el sonido sale un poco opaco, a diferencia de las sordinas de metal que sale un poco más metalizado, y la desventajas de las sordinas es que la flexibilidad y las notas graves no suelen ser igual, ya que ésta afecta la afinación y la cercanía de las notas, entonces tuve que hacer unas cuantas escalas antes de empezar a tocar, para adaptarme a las nuevas sensaciones.

Si han visto mis post anteriores sabrán que no he podido tocar más en la casa donde me estoy quedando, entonces suelo ir a casa de mis padres para poder grabar o sino lo hago en la sede, aunque estoy considerando aprender a cantar, para poder hacer otras entradas sin necesidad de tener un sonido tan fuerte jejejeje.

Welcome, everyone, to my presentation this week. Today I bring you "Bésame Mucho" by the composer Consuelo Velázquez. It is a deeply emotional piece with such a rich rhythm that has been covered countless times. To not know this song is to have never heard a bolero, a ballad, or Latin jazz, because this piece is truly enriched by so many different styles.

Did you know that the composer had never been kissed? Well, at least not at the time she wrote this piece, as our dear Consuelo would later recount.

It’s wonderful to know that fact because music goes far beyond the physical or the actions themselves; it focuses on thoughts, feelings, and the heart.

I chose this piece for today’s entry because of its smooth rhythm. Also, since it got quite late for me to record at the studio and the weather has been very rainy lately, I took advantage of my practice mute. It’s not your typical mute; it’s made of synthetic leather with two foam dissipators that reduce the sound by 50%.

Admittedly, recording with this type of mute isn't very practical. The sound comes out a bit dull compared to metal mutes, which sound more metallic. The downside of mutes is that flexibility and low notes usually aren't the same, as they affect tuning and note proximity. So, I had to play a few scales before starting to adapt to these new sensations.

If you’ve seen my previous posts, you’ll know that I haven't been able to play at the house where I’m staying. So, I usually go to my parents' house to record or I do it at the studio. However, I’m considering learning how to sing so I can create other entries without needing such a loud sound, hehe!

Pensé en éste tema cuando leí la temática, porque la suerte es algo que se tiene o no se tiene, aunque todo depende como veas la vida, y como bien dice la canción, la vida es un Carnaval, con muchos colores.

Hola amigos!!. Feliz Año nuevo 2026, hoy a principios de año he querido traerles éste mensaje, es algo que quizás quieras escuchar.

¿Por qué quiero que escuches ésto?. Pues porque a mis 25 años de edad he tenido muchísimas decisiones que han marcado mi vida, algunas muy importantes y otras no tanto, y cada una de ellas han trazado mi destino. Claro, de cada experiencia se aprende un poco de todo, sin embargo...

Hoy estamos aquí, mañana quién sabe. Y antes de darte malos ánimos, o que pienses que soy pesimista, quiero que sepas que no trato de decir eso. Lo que quiero es que sepas que hoy tienes todo lo que te hace falta, que no necesitas nada más.

Hoy agradezco a Dios gozar de buena salud, tener un techo donde refugiarme, tener el pan de cada día, poder estudiar y trabajar al mismo tiempo, tener a mis padres, mis hermanos, mi pareja, mi sobrino y mi hijo con salud y "echando vaina" como decimos aquí jejeje.

Y lo digo, porque cada año trazamos propósitos, cada año tenemos metas, y no está nada mal, pero se nos olvidan las cosas importantes que ya tenemos. Antes de decir, "Bueno este año me haré rico si o si", mejor dí "Señor Dios, te doy gracias por mi trabajo que me ayuda a traer el pan a mi casa, espero este año poder prosperar poco a poco si así es tu voluntad, y pido por aquellos que están desempleados como yo lo estuve en algún momento, porque consigan una fuente de ingresos para su hogar".

No se imaginan lo importante que es estar agradecido, yo he tenido a lo largo de mi vida cinco empleos, y he estado en la universidad tres veces con carreras distintas, y más que decir que "No tengo nada claro", quisiera decir que, la vida da muchos giros, y antes de echarnos a morir, pensemos: "Hoy tengo todo lo que me hace falta".

Sin más que decir, espero ustedes puedan encontrar esa gratitud éste año amigos queridos!!. 🔥🙏🏻

Me alegra mucho decir éstas palabras "Hive Open Mic semana número 300". Que maravilla está presente en la semana #300 de éste gran concierto semanal, y ser parte de ésta hermosa familia.

La temática de ésta semana se ha vuelto todo un reto para muchos, incluyendo me, más que todo porque no soy muy buen compositor, ni siquiera un buen cantante jejejej, y como leí en las reglas, no se podía improvisar, pues decidí hacer el intento de cantar.

Que aunque no lo haga bien, me divertí mucho, y esa era la idea. ☺️

Hablando sobre el tema, usé la app de inteligencia artificial Sino para crear una pista y no escoger una en Youtube para evitar escoger una que otro participante haya seleccionado.

La letra también fue un reto, no tenía nada estructurado, fue un poco de ir escribiendo poco a poco y repitiendo varias veces la pista mientras venían ideas.

Lo que si estaba claro es que quería cantarle a mi país, Venezuela. ❤️

I am very happy to say these words: “Hive Open Mic week number 300.” How wonderful it is to be here for week #300 of this great weekly concert, and to be part of this beautiful family.

This week's theme has been quite a challenge for many, including me, mainly because I'm not a very good songwriter, or even a good singer, hehehe, and as I read in the rules, improvisation was not allowed, so I decided to give singing a try.

Even though I'm not very good at it, I had a lot of fun, and that was the idea. ☺️

Speaking of the theme, I used the artificial intelligence app Sino to create a track and not choose one on YouTube to avoid choosing one that another participant had selected.

The lyrics were also a challenge. I didn't have anything structured, so I just wrote little by little and repeated the track several times as ideas came to me.

What was clear was that I wanted to sing to my country, Venezuela. ❤️

Hoy les traigo una pequeña interpretación de "Santa Claus Llegó a la ciudad". Es una pieza compuesta por J. Fred Coots (música) y Haven Gillespie (letra).

Una canción bastante movida que la verdad me gusta mucho, en éste caso es la versión de Luis Miguel, una de las más movidas que hay. Ésta pieza era una entrada para el #hmf de la semana 167, sin embargo, no pude subirla ayer por un pequeño accidente.

Fui a la barbería a afeitarme, pero saliendo del local sin querer pise en falso y me doble el pie, me dolía muchísimo, y estuve tan ocupado dándome masajes con gel mentolado que olvidé subir el vídeo.

Cómo mencioné en el vídeo, tengo varios días sin practicar, y es que yo práctico en una habitación que está al lado de la abuela de mi pareja, yo aprovechaba las tardes para practicar ya que ella salía, pero la pobre señora sufrió un accidente, se cayó y tuvo una fractura, en otro post daré mas detalles. Pero para resumir, me da pena practicar en la habitación donde lo hacia.

Ella me dió su aprobación, pero claro, no seré tan descarado como para hacerlo, ella me dice que no importa, porque s ella le gusta la música. Pero créanme amigos, me da una pena inmensa si quiera intentarlo.

Por eso, estoy esperando que comiencen las actividades académicas en la orquesta para poder aprovechar los salones para estudiar sin perturbar a la pobre abuelita, que espero y pueda mejorar pronto. ❤️

Today I bring you a short rendition of “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town.” It is a piece composed by J. Fred Coots (music) and Haven Gillespie (lyrics).

It's a pretty lively song that I really like, and in this case, it's Luis Miguel's version, one of the liveliest there is. This piece was an entry for #hmf week 167, but I couldn't upload it yesterday due to a minor accident.

I went to the barber shop to get a shave, but when I was leaving, I accidentally stepped wrong and twisted my foot. It hurt a lot, and I was so busy massaging it with menthol gel that I forgot to upload the video.

As I mentioned in the video, I haven't practiced for several days. I practice in a room next to my partner's grandmother's room. I used to take advantage of the afternoons to practice since she was out, but the poor lady had an accident, fell, and broke a bone. I'll give more details in another post. But to sum up, I feel bad practicing in the room where I used to.

She gave me her approval, but of course, I won't be so bold as to do it. She tells me it doesn't matter because she likes the music. But believe me, friends, I feel so bad that I can't even try.

That's why I'm waiting for the orchestra's academic activities to begin so I can use the rooms to study without disturbing my poor grandmother, who I hope will get better soon. ❤️

Si ojean un poco mis post antiguos notarán que cambio de escenario repetidas veces, es que estaba grabando con una laptop para poder mirar escuchar la música mientras tocaba, pero sin embargo ya no tengo acceso a ella... Por ende debo aprovechar lo que tengo.

Cómo decía mi madre, se cobija hasta donde alcance la sábana, entonces ahora escucho la música con el televisor de mi cuarto. Meta para el próximo año, hacerme de una nueva laptop o una tablet. 🔥

El compositor original de la melodía de "Carol of the Bells" es el ucraniano Mykola Leontovych, quien arregló la canción folclórica ucraniana "Shchedryk" en 1916, transformándola de una melodía de Año Nuevo a un villancico navideño, y la letra en inglés fue escrita por el estadounidense Peter Wilhousky en 1936, creando la versión que conocemos hoy.

Esta versión que encontré no es igual a las demás, de hecho creo que sería mejor tocarla con un instrumento de cuerda, ya que no tiene muchos espacios para tomar un respiro. Escogí ésta versión porque sino tendría que repetir la del año pasado, y quise traer algo nuevo.

If you browse through my old posts, you'll notice that I change settings repeatedly. That's because I was recording with a laptop so I could watch and listen to the music while I played, but I no longer have access to it... So I have to make do with what I have.

As my mother used to say, you have to make do with what you have, so now I listen to music on the TV in my room. My goal for next year is to get a new laptop or tablet. 🔥

The original composer of the melody for “Carol of the Bells” is Ukrainian Mykola Leontovych, who arranged the Ukrainian folk song “Shchedryk” in 1916, transforming it from a New Year's melody into a Christmas carol. and the English lyrics were written by American Peter Wilhousky in 1936, creating the version we know today.

This version I found is not the same as the others. In fact, I think it would be better to play it with a string instrument, since there aren't many places to take a breath. I chose this version because otherwise I would have to repeat last year's, and I wanted to bring something new.

Tenía muchísimo tiempo sin participar en un openmic y estuve un poco ausente debido a la universidad, pero ya estoy de vuelta amigos. Esta canción me recuerda mucho la novela "La hija del Mariachi" en dónde "Francisco" ya cono ido como Emiliano Sanchez Gallardo le canta a su amor eterno el Lucero de México Rosario Guerrero. ❤️

Oír que mencionan a Hans Zimmer por supuesto que es un sinónimo que están hablando de uno de los mejores compositores de éstos tiempos. En lo personal, las bandas sonoras de Los Piratas del Caribe me encantan, amo escuchar cada una de ellas, y en ésta oportunidad traigo una, que la verdad me recordó aquella película de Piratas del Caribe Hasta el Fin del Mundo.

Cuando nuestro querido Davy Jones, que aparentemente no tenía corazón, dedicó un tema en su Órgano a su amor prohibido Calipso. Recordar éstas películas es para mi una forma inigualable de revivir mi infancia.

De hecho, hace un par de meses me di la oportunidad de mirar un maratón completo de toda la saga de Piratas del Caribe. Incluso me alivió saber que están por lanzar una nueva entrega.

Ésta versión que ejecuto en el vídeo es de el canal Trumpet Player, me parece una versión bastante melancólica y única, tal como un vivo recuerdo de un amor pasado.

Si miraron toda la saga como yo sabrán que hay pequeños flashback de ésta pieza en otras películas. Como lo es en "El cofre del hombre muerto (2006) y El fin del mundo (2007). También se puede escuchar brevemente en La maldición de Salazar (2017)". De hecho en ésta última entrega es donde se rompe la maldición que tiene el Holandés Errante. Así que supongo que en futuras entregas obvien éste maravilloso tema. A menos que quieran recordar al increíble Capitán Davy Jones.

When you hear Hans Zimmer's name mentioned, you know you're talking about one of the best composers of our time. Personally, I love the soundtracks from Pirates of the Caribbean. I love listening to each and every one of them, and today I'm bringing you one that really reminded me of the movie Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.

When our beloved Davy Jones, who apparently had no heart, dedicated a song on his organ to his forbidden love, Calypso. Remembering these movies is an unparalleled way for me to relive my childhood.

In fact, a couple of months ago, I gave myself the opportunity to watch a complete marathon of the entire Pirates of the Caribbean saga. I was even relieved to learn that they are about to release a new installment.

This version I play in the video is from the Trumpet Player channel. I find it to be a rather melancholic and unique version, like a vivid memory of a past love.

If you watched the entire saga like I did, you will know that there are small flashbacks of this piece in other films. Such as in Dead Man's Chest (2006) and At World's End (2007). You can also hear it briefly in Salazar's Revenge (2017). In fact, it is in this latest installment that the curse on the Flying Dutchman is broken. So I guess they'll leave this wonderful theme out of future installments. Unless they want to remember the incredible Captain Davy Jones.

¿Cómo están gran familia del #openmic?. Espero se encuentren muy bien el día de hoy. Ésta semana tiene una temática muy interesante. Y sin dudarlo vino a mi la idea de tocar ésta canción. De la autoría de Camilo Echeverry y Edgar Barrera Vida de Rico.

Sé que quizás la temática tenga otros horizontes, sin embargo me gusta pensar que la riqueza no se trata solo de los bienes materiales, sino también del espíritu. Para mi la riqueza es tener paz y estar bien consigo mismo.

La canción de CAMILO me llamó mucho la atención para ésta entrada ya que relata una historia de verdadero amor, No es vida de rico, ero se pasa bien rico y si en la casa no alcanza para el aire, te pongo abanico. Aunque es un poco graciosa la letra y ojo, no es para nada conformismo. Sino más bien la búsqueda de un amor donde la riqueza sea la conexión entre los dos y no solo de los bienes materiales que posea alguno de los dos.

Lo demás viene de a poquito después. Mientras tanto!!.

How are you doing, #openmic family? I hope you are all doing well today. This week has a very interesting theme. And without hesitation, the idea of playing this song came to me. Written by Camilo Echeverry and Edgar Barrera, Vida de Rico.

I know that the theme may have other meanings, but I like to think that wealth is not only about material possessions, but also about the spirit. For me, wealth is having peace and being at ease with yourself.

CAMILO's song really caught my attention for this post because it tells a story of true love. It's not a rich man's life, but you have a good time, and if there's not enough air in the house, I'll give you a fan. Although the lyrics are a bit funny, be careful, it's not about conformism at all. Rather, it's about the search for a love where wealth is the connection between the two and not just the material goods that one of them possesses.

¿Cómo están amigos del #hmf espero se encuentren muy bien el día de hoy, veo muchos talentos increíbles en éste Round no.2, estoy encantado de participar ésta semana, luego de un par de días sin siquiera saber que significaba tocar la trompeta.

Y es que para quién no lo sepa, yo usé Brackets, sin embargo en una temporada de rebeldía yo solo me los quité porque me molestaban al tocar la trompeta. El problema yacía en que ya tenía una año de tratamiento y mis dientes estaban mejorando. ¿Saben lo que pasa cuando cortas el tratamiento sin ponerte retenedores?.

La respuesta es un poco fuerte, pues tus dientes tienen memoria, y vuelven a como estaban antes, no al cien por ciento, pero si desmejoras un poco, y eso me ha ocasionado alguna que otra molestia.

Sin embargo ya he mejorado bastante y luego de consultar con algunos médicos mi situación a mejorado, tristemente mi embocadura cambió un poco, pero no es un problema, nada que un poco de estudio para adaptarme no resuelva.

En ésta entrada quise interpretar ésta canción de Karol G "Que hubiera Sido". Que tiene como compositor a la propia artista Carolina Giraldo ♥ pero también a Edgar Barrera, Alejandro Ramírez Suárez y Andrés Jael Correa Ríos.

Para mi Karol G es una hermosa mujer con una trayectoria increíble, y como pocos artistas del mundo urbano ella se defiende con su voz, desde sus inicios se destacaba por subir vídeos en youtube Acapella y era muy ameno escucharla.

The answer is a bit harsh, because your teeth have memory, and they go back to how they were before, not 100%, but you do lose a little, and that has caused me some discomfort.

However, I have improved a lot and after consulting with some doctors, my situation has improved. Sadly, my embouchure changed a little, but it's not a problem, nothing that a little study to adapt to can't solve.

In this post, I wanted to interpret this song by Karol G, “Que hubiera sido.” It was composed by the artist Carolina Giraldo herself ♥, but also by Edgar Barrera, Alejandro Ramírez Suárez, and Andrés Jael Correa Ríos.

For me, Karol G is a beautiful woman with an incredible career, and like few other artists in the urban world, she stands out with her voice. From the beginning, she stood out for uploading acapella videos to YouTube, and it was very enjoyable to listen to her.

As I am still adapting, I lowered the key of the piece when I realized that it would not be so easy to play in the original key. I did this using the Moises app, which made it a little easier to play.

La composición de ésta obra está en las manos del señor Rubén Fuentes compositor mexicano y violinista, que además de eso fue un arreglista musical y contribuyó mucho en la música tradicional mexicana. .

"Ella baila sola" una canción que estuvo muy sonada por allá en el 2023, es un sencillo del albúm "Desvelado" de la agrupación Eslabón Armado y su letra es de la autoría del cantante y compositor Pedro Tovar.

Ésta canción fue lanzada con la colaboración del artista mexicano Peso Pluma, y el dueto entre los vocalistas Pedro Tovar y Peso Pluma fue una dupla tan única que la canción estuvo muy pero muy sonada durante todo ese año.

Ésta canción vino a mí porque sin querer queriendo pase caminando cerca de una pequeña fiesta que estaban celebrando unos vecinos, y esa canción era parte de las tantas que estaban escuchando. Recordé que hace un tiempo la había subido aquí en hive y dije, por qué no hacerlo de nuevo.
