Muy buenos días mis Hivers, feliz inicio de semana para todos, aunque tengo ya algo de tiempo siendo parte de la blockchain y creando contenido para ustedes, hoy es es mi primera visita a la comunidad Diy, una de las comunidades donde más se explota la creatividad.

Para los que me han venido leyendo seguido saben quién soy, de igual manera me presento, Soy Nathaly Rosales tengo 26 años y soy mamá de un pequeño niño, quien no me siga y no sepa de todo el tiempo que vengo con la planificación del cumpleaños de mí niño puede ir a visitar mí blog y verán una pequeña variedad de publicaciones al respecto.

Una de las cosas más importantes de las fiestas de los niños, aunque no es mí favorita, es la piñata. Los niños aman ese momento de adrenalina dónde se rompe y caen ese montón de dulces y juguetes al suelo, no es mí favorita porque pueden haber golpes y no siempre todos salen satisfechos (o eso creo yo) pero de igual manera los niños aman esperar con su bolsita la hora de la piñata.

One of the most important things about children's parties, although not my favorite, is the piñata. Kids love that moment of adrenaline where the piñata breaks and a bunch of candy and toys fall to the ground, it's not my favorite because there can be bumps and not always everyone comes out satisfied (or so I think) but still kids love to wait with their little bag for the piñata time.

Cómo la temática del cumpleaños de Noah es capitán América yo quería una piñata sencilla redonda representando el escudo, porque otra cosa que no me agrada es que usen de piñata el personaje favorito del niño para luego golpearlo hasta que se rompa. Salí a buscar una piñata en el centro con un presupuesto máximo de 15 $ creyendo que eso es lo que me podía costar, no conseguí lo que buscaba, pero encontré una con la foto del capitán América y su costo era de solo 3,5$ Yo estaba súper impactada, no era mi favorita pero podía hacerla funcionar.

Since the theme of Noah's birthday is Captain America I wanted a simple round piñata representing the shield, because another thing I don't like is that they use the child's favorite character as a piñata and then hit it until it breaks. I went out to look for a piñata in the center with a maximum budget of 15 $ believing that's what it could cost me, I didn't get what I was looking for, but I found one with the picture of Captain America and its cost was only 3.5$ I was super shocked, it wasn't my favorite but I could make it work.

Así que planifique algo sencillo pero que le daría un toque original, compré papel crepé, silicon y puse manos a la obra.

So I planned something simple but that would give it an original touch, I bought crepe paper, silicon and got to work.

Si quieres recrear lo que yo hice solo necesitaras unas pocas herramientas y algo de creatividad:

• Tijeras
• 3 pliegos de papel crepé de diferentes colores
• Silicon caliente o pega blanca escolar
• Una hoja de papel
• Un palo de escoba viejo

If you want to recreate what I did you only need a few tools and some creativity:

• Scissors
• 3 sheets of crepe paper in different colors
• Hot silicon or white school glue
• A sheet of paper
• An old broomstick

El primer paso fue pedirle a mí esposo que me ayudara a cortar el palo. Luego procedí a armar mi mesa de trabajo colocando en ella todos los materiales que iba a necesitar.

The first step was to ask my husband to help me cut the stick. Then I proceeded to set up my work table by placing on it all the materials I was going to need.

Corte tiras de papel crepé de aproximadamente unos 6cm de alto y luego con la tijera en sentido vertical realice cortes de 1cm uno al lado del otro.

I cut strips of crepe paper about 6cm high and then with the scissors vertically made 1cm cuts side by side.

Para finalizar con el palo de la piñata fui dando vueltas alrededor y poniendo puntos de pega hasta completar, haciendo lo mismo con cada color. En el vídeo que les dejé se puede apreciar un poco este proceso

To finish with the piñata stick I went around the piñata and put glue dots until the piñata was complete, doing the same with each color. In the video I left you can see a little of this process.

Con la piñata lo mismo, utilizando las tiras de papel crepe que previamente tenía cortadas las fui pegando y encogiendo a medida que pegaba para dar un efecto arruchado de forma circular en la parte trasera de la piñata.

With the piñata the same thing, using the strips of crepe paper that I had previously cut, I glued and shrunk them as I glued to give a circular crinkled effect on the back of the piñata.

Luego imprimí una estrella y la recorte en una hoja común para pegarla en el centro y así terminar el escudo del capitán América.

Then I printed a star and cut it out on a regular sheet of paper to glue it in the center to finish the shield of Captain America.

Así fue como hice que una piñata de menos de 5$ pasará a ser una que puede llegar a costar 10$ fácilmente en una tienda de suplementos para fiestas. Y solo gaste 1,5$ más en materiales para modificarla.

That's how I made a piñata that cost less than $5 to make into one that could easily cost $10 at a party supply store. And I only spent $1.5 more in materials to modify it.

Antes de culminar les cuento que mí mamá y mi papá estaban súper orgullosos de mi y fueron quienes me animaron a compartir el proceso, y es que en mí familia la encargada de hacer las piñatas era una tía que por su edad ya no se dedica a eso y hacia realmente unas cosas bellísimas. Aunque yo sentía que lo que estaba haciendo era algo muy sencillo y hasta lo consideraba "tonto". Cuéntenme ustedes que les pareció está proceso de modificación hecho en casa.

Before I finish I tell you that my mom and dad were super proud of me and were the ones who encouraged me to share the process, and in my family the person in charge of making the piñatas was an aunt who for her age is no longer dedicated to that and she made really beautiful things. Although I felt that what she was doing was something very simple and even considered it "silly". Let me know what you think of this homemade modification process.

Nunca había planificado una fiesta, es que hasta una reunión en mi casa con más de 5 personas me pone los pelos de punta, pero este año me sorprendí a mí misma haciendo los preparativos para celebrar el cumpleaños número 4 de mi pequeño niño. Piñata, cotillones, rifas, animador y decoración. Una fiesta de verdad.

Ha sido un reto para mí misma, he pensado mil veces en cancelar, pero ya está casi listo todo. Otra cosita que siempre me pasa es que mí cuerpo decide enfermarse cerca del cumpleaños de mi hijo, esto es casi todos los años así que he ido muy lentamente.
