Lyrics

I love You, Lord
Oh, your mercy never failed me
All my days, I've been held in your hands
From the moment that i wake up
Until i lay my head
Oh, i will sing of the goodness of God
And all my life you have been faithful
And all my life you have been so, so good
With every breath that i am able
Oh, i will sing of the goodness of God
I love your voice
You have led me through the fire
And in darkest night you are close like no other
I've known you as a Father
I've known you as a Friend
And i have lived in the goodness of God, yeah
And all my life you have been faithful, oh-oh-oh
And all my life you have been so, so good
With every breath that i am able
Oh, i will sing of the goodness of God, yeah
'Cause your goodness is running after, it's running after me
Your goodness is running after, it's running after me
With my life laid down, i'm surrendered now
I give you everything
'Cause your goodness is running after, it's running after me, oh-oh
'Cause your goodness is running after, it's running after me
Your goodness is running after, it's running after me
With my life laid down, i'm surrendered now
I give you everything
'Cause your goodness is running after, it keeps running after me
And all my life you have been faithful
And all my life you have been so, so good
With every breath that i am able
Oh, i'm gonna sing of the goodness of God
I'm gonna sing, i'm gonna sing
'Cause all my life you have been faithful
And all my life you have been so, so good
With every breath that i am able
Oh, i'm gonna sing of the goodness of God
Oh, i'm gonna sing of the goodness of God

In "This World Is Not My Home," Jim Reeves encapsulates the essence of Christian faith and the yearning for a heavenly abode. The song's lyrics resonate deeply with those who believe this earthly life is merely a temporary sojourn, a pilgrimage towards an eternal home where true peace and joy reside. Reeves' rich baritone voice, coupled with the gentle, melancholic melody, creates an atmosphere of introspection and longing. The singer paints a vivid picture of a weary traveler passing through a world filled with trials and tribulations, seeking solace and refuge in the promise of a better place beyond.

The song's message of detachment from worldly possessions and ambitions is a powerful reminder of the ephemeral nature of earthly pleasures. It encourages listeners to prioritize their spiritual journey and focus on accumulating treasures in heaven, where rust and moth do not destroy. This theme of spiritual yearning resonates with many who grapple with the challenges and disappointments of this world, offering a comforting reminder that our ultimate destination lies beyond the confines of mortality.

"This World Is Not My Home" not only offers solace and encouragement but also serves as a gentle call to action. It reminds us that while we may be "just a-passing through," our time on Earth is not without purpose. We are called to live a life of faith, hope, and love, striving to make a positive impact on the world around us while keeping our eyes fixed on the eternal prize that awaits us. The song's enduring appeal lies in its ability to speak to the deepest longings of the human heart, offering a message of hope and a glimpse of the glorious future that awaits those who place their trust in God.

Lyrics

(Verse 1)
This world is not my home, I'm just a-passing through
My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue
The angels beckon me from heaven's open door
And I can't feel at home in this world anymore

(Chorus)
Oh Lord, you know I have no friend like you
If heaven's not my home, then Lord, what will I do?
The angels beckon me from heaven's open door
And I can't feel at home in this world anymore

(Verse 2)
I have a loving mother up in glory land
I don't expect to stop until I shake her hand
She's waiting now for me in heaven's open door
And I can't feel at home in this world anymore

(Chorus)
Oh Lord, you know I have no friend like you
If heaven's not my home, then Lord, what will I do?
The angels beckon me from heaven's open door
And I can't feel at home in this world anymore

(Bridge)
Just up in glory land we'll live eternally
The saints on every hand are shouting victory
Their song of sweetest praise drifts back from heaven's shore
And I can't feelat home in this world anymore

(Chorus)
Oh Lord, you know I have no friend like you
If heaven's not my home, then Lord, what will I do?
The angels beckon me from heaven's open door
And I can't feel at home in this world anymore

As the deer is one of my favourite songs. I love it for it's calm and reassuring nature.
It expresses my love for Love Himself, the maker. I often sing it to reassure myself and I'm always happy to be able to sing and play it simultaneously on the piano.

I hope you appreciate it my friends. Thank you!

"Bring Them In" ("Hark, 'Tis the Shepherd's Voice I Hear") is an enduring hymn filled with a powerful call and timeless imagery. At its heart, the hymn speaks of Jesus Christ as the caring Shepherd seeking out those who have wandered away from faith. It reminds us of the importance of reaching out to those who are spiritually lost, bringing them back into the safety and guidance of Christian community.

The hymn uses the simple yet poignant metaphor of a shepherd and his sheep. Imagine a bleak landscape where the shepherd's gentle voice echoes. He seeks his sheep who have strayed, lost in a desolate place. The hymn asks who will join the Shepherd in this compassionate quest, helping to find the wandering ones and bring them back to the security of the fold. Finally, we hear the cries of the lost, vulnerable in the wilderness, and the Master's (Jesus's) call to his followers, urging them to answer the plea for help.

While simple, the words of "Bring Them In" have a profound impact. They remind us that those who have drifted from faith are not condemned, but rather in need of our compassion and help. Most importantly, the hymn sparks a sense of responsibility within us – a desire to play an active role in sharing Christ's message and leading those who have lost their way back towards spiritual belonging.

Lyrics:

LYRICS: Hark! ’tis the Shepherd’s voice I hear
Out in the desert dark and drear,
Calling the sheep who’ve gone astray
Far from the Shepherd’s fold away.

Refrain

Bring them in, bring them in,
Bring them in from the fields of sin;
Bring them in, bring them in,
Bring the wand’ring ones to Jesus.

Who’ll go and help this Shepherd kind,
Help Him the wand’ring ones to find?
Who’ll bring the lost ones to the fold,
Where they’ll be sheltered from the cold?

Refrain

Out in the desert hear their cry,
Out on the mountains wild and high;
Hark! ’tis the Master speaks to thee,
Go find My sheep where’er they be.

The Meaning

"I Surrender All" is a heartfelt expression of total surrender to Jesus Christ. It invites us to lay down our burdens, fears, and desires at His feet. The hymn emphasizes the following themes:

Surrender: The central message is surrendering everything to Jesus. It's not just about giving up sin but also yielding our ambitions, dreams, and control over our lives.

Love and Trust: The hymn speaks of love and trust in Jesus. Surrendering means placing our faith in Him, knowing that His plans are better than ours.

Holy Spirit: The second verse highlights our need for the Holy Spirit. Surrendering involves inviting the Spirit to guide, comfort, and empower us.

Blessing: Surrendering leads to God's blessings. As we yield, His grace and favor flow into our lives.

The tune for "I Surrender All" is called "SURRENDER" (also known as the "Weeden" tune). It complements the lyrics beautifully, evoking a sense of devotion and surrender. The melody gently carries the worshiper through each line, reinforcing the hymn's message.

Christ the Lord is risen today is a triumphal hymn of the resurrection. I'm always thrilled to sing it during the Easter tide especially when sung in Church and accompanied by the organ. It calls us to rejoice and be happy, full of hope.

"Christ the Lord is Risen Today" is a well-known Easter hymn, considered by many to be the quintessential anthem for the holiday. Written by Charles Wesley, a founder of Methodism, in 1739, the hymn originally had eleven verses. Today, it's more common to sing just the first four or five.

The hymn is a joyous celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The first verse sets the tone with a triumphant declaration: "Christ the Lord is risen today, Alleluia!" The word "Alleluia" is repeated throughout the hymn, emphasizing the celebratory nature of the event.

The verses that follow delve deeper into the significance of the resurrection. They speak of Christ's victory over death ("Love's redeeming work is done") and the opening of paradise for believers ("Christ hath opened paradise"). The famous line "Where, O death, is now thy sting?" exemplifies the hymn's defiance of death's power.

The final verses, though not always sung today, focus on the hope that Christ's resurrection brings. They speak of believers being raised like Christ and sharing in his eternal life. The hymn ends with a final triumphant "Alleluia!"

"Christ the Lord is Risen Today" is a powerful hymn that captures the essence of Easter joy. The simple, yet evocative language, combined with the repeated "Alleluia," makes it a favorite among both congregations and choirs. The hymn's message of hope and victory over death continues to resonate with Christians today.

Her words resonate with an authenticity born out of the daily challenges and joys of life, capturing the essence of the human condition in its quest for spiritual fulfillment.

Robert Lowry's musical composition complements the lyrical depth of Hawks' words, imbuing the hymn with a melody that soothes the soul and stirs the spirit. Its simplicity and elegance enhance the emotive power of the lyrics, elevating the hymn to a place of reverence in the hearts of believers worldwide.

Its enduring legacy serves as a beacon of hope for generations past, present, and future, reminding believers that in their deepest need, God's grace is ever-present, offering strength, comfort, and renewal to all who seek it.

Lyrics

I need Thee every hour
Most gracious Lord
No tender voice like Thine
Can peace afford
I need Thee, O I need Thee
Every hour I need Thee
O bless me now, my Savior
I come to Thee
I need Thee every hour
Stay Thou nearby
Temptations lose their power
When Thou art nigh
I need Thee, O I need Thee
Every hour I need Thee
O bless me now, my Savior
I come to Thee
I need Thee every hour
In joy or pain
Come quickly and abide
Or life is vain
I need Thee, O I need Thee
Every hour I need Thee
O bless me now, my Savior
I come to Thee
O bless me now, my Savior
I come to Thee

Letra

Te necesito cada hora
Señor misericordioso
No hay voz tierna como la tuya
¿Puede permitirse la paz?
Te necesito, oh te necesito
Cada hora te necesito
Oh, bendíceme ahora, mi Salvador.
vengo a ti
Te necesito cada hora
Quédate cerca
Las tentaciones pierden su poder.
Cuando estés cerca
Te necesito, oh te necesito
Cada hora te necesito
Oh, bendíceme ahora, mi Salvador.
vengo a ti
Te necesito cada hora
En alegría o dolor
Ven rápido y permanece
O la vida es vana
Te necesito, oh te necesito
Cada hora te necesito
Oh, bendíceme ahora, mi Salvador.
vengo a ti
Oh, bendíceme ahora, mi Salvador.
vengo a ti

YOU ARE MINE:How a Wingman Makes You Appear Braver Than You Actually Are

Let's be frank, courage isn't exactly our default setting. We, as a species, are more inclined towards the "avoid awkward interactions at all costs" approach. But fear not, fellow trepidatious souls! There exists a magnificent tool in the courage toolbox – the Wingman.

Think of that presentation looming large on your calendar. Your palms become personal rainforests, your knees decide to reenact a particularly dramatic scene from "Jaws," and your brain helpfully conjures up slides that spontaneously combust. Enter the Wingman. With a reassuring pat on the back (and possibly a well-timed joke about the projector malfunctioning), you're propelled into action. Suddenly, you're David Attenborough, minus the khaki shorts and genuine knowledge of the animal kingdom.

Wingmen are the human equivalent of a safety net – they soften the blow of social blunders. They make the terrifying less terrifying because, well, at least you're not the only one potentially about to face a public speaking meltdown. They're also the on-call laugh track when things inevitably go a tad awry (because let's face it, sometimes your attempt at a witty remark sounds suspiciously like a deflating balloon animal).

Now, a good Wingman doesn't force you onto a metaphorical stage. They offer a gentle nudge, perhaps a pep talk that sounds suspiciously like a motivational poster in a dentist's office. But ultimately, the podium (or microphone, or cashier line) is yours to conquer. Don't worry, they'll be there to catch you if you trip over your words (metaphorically, of course. Unless you're dealing with a particularly enthusiastic Wingman, then a literal catch might be involved).

So, the next time you find yourself staring down a social situation that makes you want to crawl under your desk and stay there, remember – courage isn't the absence of fear, it's the willingness to face it anyway, preferably with a friend who can point out the rogue wrinkle in your metaphorical suit. Because let's be honest, sometimes even David Attenborough needs someone to double-check his fly before he encounters a particularly grumpy rhino.

The Lord Jesus is the Wingman of whom I sing in this song. He has promised to be with us always. So, we are not to be afraid!

LYRICS

I will come to you in the silence
I will lift you from all your fear
You will hear My voice
I claim you as My choice
Be still, and know I am near
I am hope for all who are hopeless
I am eyes for all who long to see
In the shadows of the night,
I will be your light
Come and rest in Me
Do not be afraid, I am with you
I have called you each by name
Come and follow Me
I will bring you home
I love you and you are mine
I am strength for all the despairing
Healing for the ones who dwell in shame
All the blind will see, the lame will all run free
And all will know My name
Do not be afraid, I am with you
I have called you each by name
Come and follow Me
I will bring you home
I love you and you are mine
I am the Word that leads all to freedom
I am the peace the world cannot give
I will call your name, embracing all your pain
Stand up, now, walk, and live
Do not be afraid, I am with you
I have called you each by name
Come and follow Me
I will bring you home
I love you and you are mine
Do not be afraid, I am with you
I have called you each by name
Come and follow Me
I will bring you home
I love you and you are mine

The hymn talks about total surrender to God.
Enjoy your day!!

Lyrics:
1 Take my life and let it be
consecrated, Lord, to thee.
Take my moments and my days;
let them flow in endless praise,
let them flow in endless praise.
2 Take my hands and let them move
at the impulse of thy love.
Take my feet and let them be
swift and beautiful for thee,
swift and beautiful for thee.
3 Take my voice and let me sing
always, only, for my King.
Take my lips and let them be
filled with messages from thee,
filled with messages from thee.
4 Take my silver and my gold;
not a mite would I withhold.
Take my intellect and use
every power as thou shalt choose,
every power as thou shalt choose.
5 Take my will and make it thine;
it shall be no longer mine.
Take my heart it is thine own;
it shall be thy royal throne,
it shall be thy royal throne.
6 Take my love; my Lord, I pour
at thy feet its treasure store.
Take myself, and I will be
ever, only, all for thee,
ever, only, all for thee.

I am thankful for being able to participate in this week's vibes competition. I see this not just as a contest but also an opportunity to share some music. For this reason, I have tried to do something no matter how little in spite of my busy schedule.

This is just a praise from my soul to my maker, worthy is His name.

I hope you my friends enjoy listening to this little entry of mine as I have presented it as simply as I've been able to do.

Have a nice weekend and see you in the next one!

Lyrics from memory:

You are my strength when I am weak
You are the treasure that I seek
You are my all in all.

Seeking you as a precious gift
Lord to give up I'd be a fool
You are my all in all

Hello fellow vibers! We're here again to vibe.

I'm performing a rather popular hymn titled "how great thou art". It stems from my awe at nature and the universe at large which I am deeply conviced was made by an intelligent being up there and all around.

https://twitter.com/Nathcyril1/status/1765849806092562934?t=auWLeDajw79YLccoOKyO_Q&s=19

We can't escape the feeling of awe when we sing "How Great Thou Art." It's a hymn that's been around for over a century, but its message feels fresh every time. It all started in 1885 with a Swedish preacher named Carl Boberg. Inspired by the beauty around him, he penned a poem titled "O Store Gud," marveling at the power of creation.

Fast forward a few years, and the poem takes a trip eastward. Missionaries Stuart K. Hine and his wife encounter it in Russia, sung to a hauntingly beautiful melody. They're struck by its power, and Hine puts pen to paper, crafting the English lyrics we know and love today.

The hymn speaks to us on so many levels. We can't help but sing along as the verses paint a picture of the vast universe and the delicate details of nature. It's a reminder of just how incredible the world around us is. And then there's the chorus, that simple yet powerful declaration of "How Great Thou Art!" It becomes our anthem, a way to express our praise and appreciation, no matter what we're going through.

The hymn goes even deeper, touching on our most personal beliefs. It reminds us of the sacrifice Christ made and the hope of redemption he offers. It's a message of comfort and solace. And as the final verse looks towards the future, it fills us with anticipation and joy. "How Great Thou Art" is a beautiful reminder that music can touch the very core of our being, allowing us to express our deepest emotions and connect with something far grander than ourselves.

Peace!

I see this contest as an opportunity to express my message which is that the love we share with one another as humans should not be based on any external conditions and motives other than care and goodwill for one another and the recognition of our common need and desire for love in its beauty and nourishment.

The love which I talk about in this song is not particularly romantic or emotional love but humanity. This care and goodwill could stem from our understanding of the shared human experience, its challenges and reality. I think if we all shared love and kindness with one another, we would all have it in abundance and everyone's desire or need for it would be fulfilled, especially the needs of those who are less privileged in the society.

I understand that there are many nuances and perhaps implications to this sharing of love, but I feel bad whenever it appears to me that some people are abandoned, uncared for, unloved and left to hunger, cold and loneliness. I think the overall benefit of loving one another immeasurably outweighs whatever danger or discomfort that may potentially arise from loving.

I think in loving, we brighten someone else's life. I hope to have made a little positive impression on you my friends who have taken out time to relate with my entry for this second week of Vibes music competition. May we be instruments through which others close to us and far away find reasons to strive on. May we do this through simple acts of kindness, thoughtfulness and goodwill.

Lyrics

Someone tell me what it is
That we all have in common
Wether young or old
It isn't about age

Everyone wants to share it
We want it in our homes
Everyone wants to get it
Everyone wants it

Someone tell me what it is
We have it in our hearts
We have it in our souls
And we know it

Yet so many of us suffer want of it
And with so many of us insufficiency
And if we all would give it out without care for differences
And if we all would give it out without care for anything

We'd be all filled with it
Wether poor or rich
Wether young or old
Wether beggar or giver

And it is love
The core of religion
The core of our being
The core of humanity

ESPANOLA

Eyo! Make we yarn small about the big Oga wey dey up there. You wey be king of everything wey dey anywhere, na your hand create sun, moon, stars, scatter them around like correct baba wey get plan. Big ups to you, Baba God!

And no be only big you be, but na you dey do good like better person. Every good thing wey dey my life - health, strength, joy wey dey bubble for my belle - na you send am come. You be like ATM wey dey dispense blessings 24/7, and my heart dey sing your praise like correct naija tune.

But wait, e no end for there. You no be just big Oga wey dey do good, you na love itself. You die for me, come back again, carry my wahala for head like correct brother. Your love na big deal, e deep pass Atlantic Ocean, and my voice go shout your praise loud like Alabi wey win lotto.

Now you dey follow me like correct paddy, no be king wey dey far far. Your word be like torch wey dey show me way, your spirit be like hand wey dey hold me steady. You dey guide me through sunshine and rain, like correct bus conductor. You dey write my story with correct pen, and for that, my praise go reach your ear clear.

No be small thing o! My whole body dey vibrate with the joy of praising you. You be like correct jollof rice wey dey warm my soul, moonlight wey dey shine my path, star wey dey make me wonder. You be my hope, my rock, the air wey I dey breathe. You be the music wey dey play for my life, and as long as I dey alive, my praise go be your anthem.

So, Baba God, make you gbafuo this small praise from your pikin wey dey Naija. You too much!

My people, make una follow me enjoy this jam!
