It has been several months since I last shared anything in the community, and a couple of days ago, for some reason, I started seeing lots of videos of the game "Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories" pop up when I'm on social media, and for this reason, I felt like playing it again, since when I was little it was one of the games that captivated me the most and entertained me for many hours, so join me on this new adventure.

Hace ya varios meses que no compartía algo en la comunidad y hace un par de días, por alguna razón, me han aparecido muchos videos del juego “Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories” cuando ando en alguna red social y por esta razón, me entraron ganas de volver a jugarlo, ya que cuando pequeño fue uno de los juegos que más me cautivó y me entretuvo por muchísimas horas, así que, acompáñenme en esta nueva aventura.

First, I should explain for those who are unfamiliar with the game and for those who only know Yu-Gi-Oh!, which is a manga and also has an animated series where everything revolves around the card game with monsters. This PS1 video game maintains that same essence, but it has a unique feature, as it involves fusing weak monster cards to create new, stronger monsters. There are certain rules for some fusions, while others are more flexible, but not all cards can always be fused.

The game consists of defeating each enemy in a card duel. Obviously, the difficulty increases as you advance, but the idea is to improve your deck with stronger monsters and magic or trap cards that you can win in each duel or buy, which is difficult because it takes a lot to gather what you need to buy cards.

Primero debo explicar para aquellos que no conocen del juego y para aquellos que solo conocen de Yu-Gi-Oh!, el cual es un manga y tiene una serie animada también donde todo gira en torno al juego de cartas con monstruos y este videojuego para PS1 mantiene esa misma esencia, pero tiene una particularidad, ya que cuenta con la mecánica de ir fusionando cartas de monstruos débiles para crear nuevos monstruos más fuertes, existen ciertas reglas para algunas fusiones, otras son más libres, pero no siempre todas las cartas pueden fusionarse.

El juego consiste en ganarle a cada enemigo en un duelo de cartas, evidentemente la dificultad aumenta mientras más avanzas, pero la idea es que vayas mejorando tu baraja con monstruos más fuertes y cartas de magia o trampa que puedes ir ganando en cada duelo o comprando, lo cual es difícil porque cuesta bastante reunir lo necesario para comprar cartas.

Now, with that in mind, you have a clearer idea of how the game works. Obviously, I started a new game, chose my name, and began my first duel, which I honestly thought I would lose. I didn't expect my opponent to start with such a strong card as The Dark Wizard, but with a little luck and the heart of the cards (wink, wink), I was able to win. Obviously, the cards you get at the beginning are completely random, and as you progress, the idea is to improve and change them.

I had several duels as I progressed through the story, some much easier than others, and some that obviously made me think a little, but honestly, the first one was the hardest for me, even though it should have been the easiest, since it's the first encounter in the game. But hey, we already know how my luck will go as I continue with this series of videos that I intend to continue.

Ahora bien, teniendo esto en cuenta, ya tienen una idea más clara de cómo es el juego. Evidentemente, empecé una partida nueva, elegí mi nombre e inicié mi primer duelo, el cual honestamente pensé que perdería. No me esperaba que mi rival empezara con una carta tan fuerte como lo es El Mago Oscuro, pero con un poco de suerte y con el corazón de las cartas (guiño, guiño) pude ganar. Evidentemente, las cartas que obtienes al principio son completamente aleatorias y, mientras avanzas, la idea es mejorar y cambiarlas.

Tuve varios duelos mientras iba avanzando en la historia, algunos muchos más sencillos y otros que evidentemente me hicieron pensar un poco, pero honestamente el primero fue el que más me costó y pensar que debería ser el más sencillo, ya que es el primer recibimiento del juego, pero bueno, ya sabemos cómo irá mi suerte mientras siga avanzando en esta serie de videos que pretendo continuar.

Something I should mention is that every time you win a duel, you receive a completely random card, but I've managed to get a modified game, so instead of one card, you get 15. I know it may seem like a lot, but those who have played will know that it's a big help. so you don't have to fight more than 500 duels to try to get a good card. Similarly, the cards you receive are completely random and don't benefit you in that regard. You can get lucky and receive a good card among those 15, or you can be unlucky and receive 15 cards that are useless to you.

That's all for today. I hope you enjoyed what started out a little clumsy but gradually improved. One thing I didn't mention: if you lose one of the duels in story mode, you lose the game completely. Of course, you can continue from the point you saved, but if you didn't save, you have to start over. Let's see how long my bad luck lasts.

Algo que debo mencionar, es que cada vez que ganas un duelo recibes una carta totalmente aleatoria, pero yo me he conseguido un juego modificado, para que en vez de una carta, sean 15, sé que puede parecer mucho, pero para aquellos que han jugado sabrán que es una buena ayuda, así no tienes que estar teniendo más de 500 duelos para intentar conseguir una buena carta, de igual manera las que recibes con totalmente aleatorias y no te benefician en ese aspecto, puedes tener buena suerte y recibir una buena carta entre esas 15 o tener mala y recibir 15 cartas que no te sirvan de nada.

De momento creo que esto es todo por el día de hoy. Espero que disfrutaran de un comienzo un poco torpe, pero que poco a poco fui solucionando. Algo que no mencioné: si puedes uno de los duelos del modo historia, pierdes la partida completamente, claro que puedes seguir del punto que has guardado, pero si no lo hiciste, debes empezar nuevamente, veamos hasta dónde aguanta mi poca suerte.

Yo bastante contento por volver a hacer una publicación en la comunidad, hace un tiempo que no lo hacía y qué mejor manera que con una partida de uno de los juegos que me tiene bastante viciado y como era de esperarse, es un juego de Pokémon, ya había mencionado en otras publicaciones lo mucho que soy fanático de estas criaturas y aprovechando su versión en cartas con diseños preciosos sin duda tenía que jugarlo. Yesterday was a pretty quiet day, I didn't have many things pending (now that I think about it, I did have some pictures pending, but they can wait), so I decided to play some Pokémon Unite games, normally I record the games in case there is one that I really like, but yesterday was a bit complicated, either because the opposite team gave up or someone was inactive and the game was cancelled, but after many attempts I managed to finish a game without problems and that's the one I want to share with you today.

Saludos queridos amigos de la comunidad, ¿cómo se encuentran el día de hoy? Yo bastante bien, por lo que deseo que ustedes también. El día de ayer fue un día bastante tranquilo, no tenía muchas cosas pendientes (Ahora que lo pienso, sí tenía algunas fotografías pendientes, pero pueden esperar), así que me dispuse a jugar algunas partidas de Pokémon Unite, normalmente grabo las partidas por si hay alguna que me guste mucho, pero el día de ayer fue algo complicado, ya fuese porque el equipo contrario se rendía o alguien estaba inactivo y la partida se cancelaba, pero luego de muchos intentos se logró finalizar una partida sin problemas y es la que quiero compartirles el día de hoy.

If you saw my previous post about this game you will know that my favorite Pokémon to play is Mimikyu, but since a couple of days ago I've been thinking a lot that I should learn to play with others, because in many occasions another type of Pokémon is needed and nobody wants to play it, so it's good to have versatility and adapt to any game. For my part, taking advantage of the fact that I have Zeraora and I've seen others play it, I thought it would be fun and that was my choice for this game.

It's not the first time I play with Zeraora, but it's the second time I play with that Pokémon, so I'm still not sure what abilities or attacks is better, I just let myself go by the moment, but I must say that I like it a lot, it's a pretty fast Pokémon and for fighting it's very successful, even more when the game is still starting it seems to me that you have a slight advantage in the combats, even you can appreciate a little bit in how without fear of anything I decided to attack the rival team starting and it is that it gave me security both for its attacks, as for its facility to flee from the situation if it was complicated.

Si vieron mi publicación anterior sobre este juego sabrán que mi Pokémon favorito para jugar es Mimikyu, pero desde hace un par de días llevo pensando mucho en que debo aprender a jugar con otros, porque en muchas ocasiones es necesario otro tipo de Pokémon y nadie desea jugarlo, por lo que es bueno tener versatilidad y adaptarse a cualquier partida. Por mi parte, aprovechando que tengo a Zeraora y lo he visto a otros jugar, pensé que sería divertido y esa fue mi elección para esta partida.

No es la primera vez que juego con Zeraora, pero sí es la segunda vez que juego con ese Pokémon, por lo que todavía no estoy seguro de qué habilidades o ataques es mejor, simplemente me dejo llevar por el momento, pero debo decir que me gusta mucho, es un Pokémon bastante rápido y para pelear es muy acertado, más cuando la partida todavía está comenzando me parece que tienes una ligera ventaja en los combates, incluso se puede apreciar un poco en cómo sin temor a nada decidí atacar al equipo rival comenzando y es que me daba seguridad tanto por sus ataques, como por su facilidad de huir de la situación si se complicaba.

What I liked most about this Pokémon was its agility, I mean, for attacks it can get ahead and get very close to the opponent, it can also be used to escape if you are about to be defeated, so I certainly thought it could be a very good idea if it is a 1 vs. 1 or a very bad idea if it is a 1 vs. 2, but of course, if you are in a good level you could do it without problems, even I think I felt quite sober that I just wanted to fight, so if it is about attack Zeraora seems excellent to me.

A big disadvantage and the most obvious, of course, is that he doesn't have much defense, but his agility and raw attack compensate him to be able to defend himself ironically. Throughout the game I must say that I made some mistakes and that is that, seeing the advantage I had in the attack against the opposing team I was changing lines, both to help in other areas, and to look for a fight, because honestly I wanted to beat as many opponents as I could and at some point this could have taken its toll, because they could almost balance us, so there was a very key point that was at the end and was to win the Rayquaza, whoever did it would definitely be the winner.

Lo que más me gustó de este Pokémon fue su agilidad, quiero decir, para los ataques puede adelantarse y acercarse mucho al rival, también puede ser usado para escapar si estás a punto de ser vencido, por lo que sin duda me pareció que puede ser una muy buena idea si es un 1 vs. 1 o una muy pésima idea si es un 1 vs. 2, pero claro, si te encuentras en un buen nivel podrías hacerlo sin problemas, incluso creo que me sentí bastante sobrado que solo buscaba pelear, por lo que si de ataque se trata Zeraora me parece excelente.

Una gran desventaja y la más obvia, por supuesto, es que no tiene mucha defensa, pero su agilidad y ataque bruto lo compensan para poder defenderse irónicamente. En lo largo de la partida debo decir que cometí algunos errores y es que, al ver la ventaja que tenía en el ataque contra el equipo rival me fui cambiando de líneas, tanto para ir ayudando en otras áreas, como para buscar pelea, porque honestamente quería ir venciendo a cuanto rival pudiese y en cierto punto esto pudo habernos pasado factura, porque pudieron casi equilibrarnos, por lo que hubo un punto bastante clave que fue al final y era ganar el Rayquaza, quien lo hiciese definitivamente sería el ganador.

In this game I was the MVP and although I had some stumbles I must say that I feel quite happy with that, since, if I'm not mistaken I was only beaten once and it was because I thought I was invincible, but after that I was playing as sensibly as I think was possible, so, I'm really happy with the game in general, I had good teammates who certainly supported me and were willing to win everything.

En esta partida fui el MVP y aunque tuve algunos tropiezos debo decir que me siento bastante contento con eso, ya que, si no me equivoco solo me vencieron una única vez y fue porque me creí invencible, pero luego de eso estuve jugando lo más sensato que creo fue posible, así que, realmente estoy contento con la partida en general, tuve buenos compañeros que sin duda me apoyaron y estaban dispuestos a ganar todo.

El día de hoy aproveché que estaba libre y quise jugar algunas partidas de Pokémon Unite para divertirme un rato y como me gusta grabar las partidas para ver en qué cosas mejorar o ver lo que hice bien, siento que esta es una excelente partida que me gustaría compartir con ustedes, por lo que espero que les guste.

I have to say that, due to the busyness of everyday life, I don't usually play a wide variety of titles, but Pokémon Unite has managed to keep me hooked ever since I downloaded it. I've always been a fan of everything Pokémon related, but honestly I find this game to be quite interesting and entertaining, as well as clearly different from what I'm used to. The amount of Pokémon in this game seems good to me, not enough, but there is something for everyone and for obvious reasons, my favorite is Mimikyu.

I have not dared to try as many Pokémon as I would like to, for the moment I only play with Venusaur, Mimikyu and I am learning at the moment with Zeraora, since I am aware that I must learn to handle well at least one Pokémon of each type depending on what is needed in the team, but when I want to play it safe, Mimikyu is the right one and I think you will notice it with the game that I share with you.

Debo decir que, por las ocupaciones del día a día no suelo jugar gran variedad de títulos, pero Pokémon Unite ha logrado mantenerme enganchado desde que lo descargué. Siempre he sido fan de todo lo relacionado a Pokémon, pero honestamente este me parece un juego bastante interesante y entretenido, además de claramente diferente a lo que se está acostumbrado. La cantidad de Pokémon que hay en este juego me parece buena, no suficiente, pero hay para todos los gustos y por obvias razones, mi favorito es Mimikyu.

No me he atrevido a probar tantos Pokémon como me gustaría, de momento sólo juego con Venusaur, Mimikyu y estoy aprendiendo de momento con Zeraora, ya que soy consciente de que debo aprender a manejar bien al menos un Pokémon de cada tipo según lo que se necesite en el equipo, pero cuando quiero ir a lo seguro, Mimikyu es el indicado y creo que podrán notarlo con la partida que les comparto.

It seems to me that Mimikyu is a fairly balanced Pokémon (for obvious reasons it is of that type), it allows perfectly to have a ranged attack, but it is also excellent in a melee, so it seems to me an excellent choice for any type of situation, although not all are advantages, it certainly also has its disadvantages, such as if it is in the opposing team, as it can be a hard Pokémon to crack if you are not careful or if you let this level up enough.

In this specific game I can say that what I enjoyed the most was that, although at the beginning it seemed that we had the lead, the opposing team was able to turn us around in a few minutes, so we had to give our best to match and then overcome that balance a little, which I think was undoubtedly defined by the last two minutes in which we were in charge of scoring as many points as possible and then defend.

Me parece que Mimikyu es un Pokémon bastante equilibrado (por obvias razones es de ese tipo), permite perfectamente tener un ataque a distancia, pero también es excelente en un cuerpo a cuerpo, por lo que me parece una excelente elección para cualquier tipo de situación, aunque no todos son ventajas, ciertamente también tiene sus desventajas, como por ejemplo si se encuentra en el equipo rival, ya que puede ser un Pokémon duro de roer si no tienes cuidado o si dejas que este suba bastante de nivel.

En esta partida en especifico puedo decir que lo que más disfruté fue que, aunque en un principio parecía que llevábamos la delantera, el equipo contrario supo darnos la vuelta en pocos minutos, por lo que tuvimos que dar lo mejor de nosotros para poder igualar y luego superar un poco esa balanza, la cual creo que se definió sin dudas por los últimos dos minutos en los cuales nos encargamos de anotar la mayor cantidad posible de puntos y luego defender.
