Perhaps when you listen to this song, you will feel that you are hearing something out of the ordinary. And I am not referring specifically to heavy metal, but rather to the nuances and significant influences of Middle Eastern music. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the Tunisian band Myrath, a group that, in my opinion, has arrived to offer a different alternative to those who are used to, or perhaps bored of, always listening to the same musical style. These guys bring us some great heavy metal accompanied by traditional music from their country; as you know, they live in North Africa, very close to the Sahara Desert.

I wanted to bring this song because it's my favorite from the band. I think it has a little bit of everything: technical details, a great rhythm, it's catchy, and, of course, it has those Arabic sounds that transport us to video games or movies set in the desert. I think that makes it quite interesting. I think one of the beautiful things about music is that it allows us to connect with other cultures when bands like this show us part of their musical tradition embedded in a style that we already like. They have many other songs in which their culture is deeply rooted. I really recommend that if you like rock, even just a little, you check out Myrath's other songs. I'm sure you'll like them.

Tal vez, cuando escuches esta canción, sentirás que estás oyendo algo fuera de lo normal. Y no me refiero precisamente al heavy metal, sino a los matices y grandes influencias de la música del Medio Oriente. Señoras y señores, les presento a la banda tunecina Myrath, una agrupación que, desde mi punto de vista, llegó para ofrecer una alternativa distinta a quienes están acostumbrados, o quizá aburridos de escuchar siempre el mismo ambiente musical. Estos chicos vienen con un buen heavy metal acompañado de música tradicional de su país; como bien saben, ellos viven al norte de África, muy cerca del desierto del Sahara.

Quise traer esta canción porque es la que más me gusta de la banda. Creo que tiene de todo un poco: detalles técnicos, muy buen ritmo, es pegajosa y, por supuesto, cuenta con esos sonidos árabes que nos transportan a ambientes de videojuegos o películas que se desarrollan en el desierto. Creo que eso la hace bastante interesante. Pienso que algo hermoso de la música es que nos permite conectar con otras culturas cuando bandas como esta nos muestran parte de su tradición musical incrustada en un estilo que ya nos gusta. Ellos tienen muchas otras canciones en las cuales su cultura está muy arraigada. De verdad les recomiendo que, si les gusta, aunque sea un poco el rock, indaguen sobre los otros temas de Myrath. Estoy seguro de que les van a gustar.

To record this bass cover I downloaded the song from the band's official Youtube channel, then, I used the Moises application to remove the original bass line, that way I could record a completely clean line. I applied a couple of effects to give prominence to the bass since it is obviously the central element in my performances, but I tried not to overdo it in modifying the original sound previously recorded. I hope my presentation this week is to everyone's liking, I really like to humbly share my bass covers with the community, best regards!

I am thrilled to be able to share with you today a song that, in some way, defines my childhood. I believe that, when it comes to national rock bands, Candy 66 is an emblem and an example to follow in terms of musical quality and consistency. Despite the great vicissitudes the country is experiencing, the band broke up several times, got back together, and even today continues to perform in different cities around the world where there is a high migration of Venezuelans. For reasons not worth mentioning, this band cannot set foot on Venezuelan soil for now. I hope that, as the months go by and certain events unfold, we will see the return of that great exodus of national artists that we are eager to see around here.

Candy 66 is a band that I had the opportunity to see live several times in the city of Maracay. They were very popular; I would say I saw them about five times. They have a couple of very good albums that I still listen to today, among which the one called A+ stands out, an album that I can listen to in its entirety and of which I know absolutely all the songs. The one I'm sharing today is called “Niño”; it's one of the most emblematic songs on the aforementioned album and by the band as a whole. In live performances, it's one of the most requested and sung along to, and the band knows it, so they usually save it for last.

Me emociona muchísimo poder compartir con ustedes el día de hoy una canción que define, de alguna manera, mi infancia. Creo que, en cuanto a bandas de rock nacional se refiere, Candy 66 es un emblema y un ejemplo a seguir de calidad musical y constancia. A pesar de las grandes vicisitudes que vive el país, la banda se separó en varias oportunidades, se reunieron nuevamente e, incluso hoy en día, siguen presentándose en diferentes ciudades del mundo donde hay una alta migración de venezolanos. Por motivos que no vale la pena mencionar, esta banda no podría pisar suelo venezolano por ahora. Espero que, con el pasar de los meses y ciertos acontecimientos que están ocurriendo, pueda retornar ese gran éxodo de artistas nacionales que tenemos muchas ganas de ver por estos lados.

Candy 66 es una agrupación que tuve la oportunidad de ver varias veces en vivo en la ciudad de Maracay. Eran muy queridos; diría que los pude ver unas cinco veces. Tienen un par de álbumes muy buenos que aún hoy escucho, entre los que destaca el llamado A+, un disco que puedo oír en su totalidad y del cual me sé absolutamente todas las canciones. La que comparto hoy se llama "Niño"; es de las más emblemáticas del álbum antes mencionado y de la banda como tal. En las presentaciones en vivo es de las más pedidas y coreadas, y la banda lo sabe, por lo que normalmente la dejan para el final.

I know it's late, but I also know that I'm still in time to participate in week 170 of the Hive Music Festival. I've had a pretty busy and complicated week due to the accounting closings at my job; it's been an intense time between calculators and Excel spreadsheets to make all the numbers add up. Finally, today I was able to take a break. To be honest, I wasn't sure if I could participate because I've had very little time to prepare a song. However, early on I decided to choose a song, practice it, and see if I could record it decently to share with the community.

I chose a Metallica song that is quite well known, although die-hard fans know that it was a song intended for MTV. In those days, appearing on that channel was synonymous with success, as it was the main platform for music videos and a window for millions of people to see you. To be honest, the album it belongs to is not my favorite, but Metallica will always be Metallica and has excellent songs. I chose this song because, being one of their most commercial (mainstream) songs, I thought many people would recognize it. Technically, it's one of the band's simplest songs—considering that they have much faster and heavier compositions—but it's still very enjoyable.

He tenido una semana bastante ocupada y complicada debido a los cierres contables en mi trabajo; ha sido un tiempo intenso entre calculadoras y hojas de Excel para lograr que todos los números cuadren. Por fin hoy pude tomarme un respiro. La verdad, no estaba seguro de si podría participar porque he tenido muy poco tiempo para preparar un tema. Sin embargo, desde temprano decidí elegir una canción, practicarla y ver si podía grabarla de forma decente para compartirla con la comunidad.

Elegí un tema de Metallica que es bastante conocido, aunque los fans más acérrimos saben que fue una canción pensada para figurar en MTV. En aquellos años, aparecer en ese canal era sinónimo de éxito, pues era la plataforma principal de videos musicales y la ventana para que millones de personas te vieran. Siendo honesto, el disco al que pertenece no es mi favorito, pero Metallica siempre será Metallica y tiene temas excelentes. Escogí esta canción porque, al ser de las más comerciales (mainstream), pensé que muchos la reconocerían. Técnicamente es de las más sencillas de la banda —considerando que tienen composiciones mucho más rápidas y pesadas—, pero no deja de ser muy agradable.

First of all, I would like to wish this prestigious musical community a happy new year 2026. I know it may be a little late for that, but as this is my first presentation of the year, these are my initial wishes for those who make their living here. It's been a few months since I last recorded anything. In fact, I picked up my bass today and felt quite rusty. My absence has been due to other commitments I've taken on in recent months, which have reduced my availability to post, especially when it comes to music posts, which require more time as I have to study the song and then record it as cleanly as possible.

So, what I'm sharing today is a song by one of my favorite bands and from one of my favorite albums, “Infected,” released in 2011, which quickly became one of my regulars during my long music listening sessions. “One More Time” by HammerFall is a pretty interesting song because, while it's true that it's not technically complex, it has all the elements to be a complete song, with a melody that sticks in your mind and HammerFall's quite characteristic and original Power Metal style.

Antes que nada, quiero desearle a ésta prestigiosa comunidad musical y feliz año nuevo 2026, sé que quizá es un poco tarde para eso, pero al ser ésta mi primera presentación de año éstos son mis deseos iniciales para quienes hacen vida aquí. Pasaron algunos meses desde la última vez que grabé algo, de hecho, hoy mismo fue que tomé mi bajo y efectivamente me sentí bastante oxidado. Mi ausencia se ha debido a otras ocupaciones que he adquirido en los últimos meses y que disminuyen mi disponibilidad para postear, más aún cuando se refiere a post musicales los cuales demandan más tiempo ya que debo estudiar la canción y luego grabarla de la manera más limpia posible.

Entonces, lo que hoy comparto es una canción de una de mis bandas favoritas y de uno de mis discos favoritos, “Infected”, álbum del año 2011, llegó en su momento para convertirse en uno de mis habituales y frecuentes en mis sesiones largas de escuchar música. “One more time” de HammerFall es una canción bastante interesante ya que, si bien es cierto no goza de alta complejidad técnica, tiene todos los elementos para ser una canción completa, con una melodía que se queda en tu mente y con el estilo bastante característico y original del Power Metal de HammerFall.

Esta tarde se jugó una final europea que probablemente pasó desapercibida ya que muchos consideran que no tiene mucha importancia, la UEFA Conference League es la tercera competición en relevancia por detrás de UEFA Europa League y la UEFA Champions League, sin embargo, creo que la final en la que se presentaron el Real Betis y el Chelsea FC merecía mucha atención ya que se trata de dos equipos que hicieron las cosas bastante bien durante la temporada en sus respectivas ligas, por un lado, el Betis obtuvo el sexto lugar en LaLiga, mientras que el Chelsea se quedó con el cuarto lugar en la Premier League.

Acabamos de vivir una jornada muy intensa en los partidos de vuelta de las semifinales de la UEFA Champions League de la cual se derivó lo que será la final el próximo 31 de mayo en el Allianz Arena de Múnich. Un dato interesante es que ésta final es inédita, nunca se han enfrentado éstos equipos en una instancia de éste tipo, así que ese es un condimento que considero bastante interesante. Por otra parte, llama bastante la atención la ausencia de equipos ingleses, españoles y alemanes, así que sin dudas será una final muy particular.

Acabamos de vivir un encuentro digno de unas semifinales de la UEFA Champions League entre dos equipos que han venido mostrando una cara muy sobria a lo largo de la competición. Londres fue el escenario en el que Arsenal y PSG trataron de dar lo mejor de si en pro de irse a la vuelta con una ventaja que les permita afrontar de la mejor manera un encuentro que será decisivo y a muerte. Los pasados martes y miércoles se jugaron los partidos de ida de los cuartos de final de la UEFA Champions League en los que cada uno de los partidos nos regaló un buen promedio de goles. Diría que en la mayoría de partidos se definieron al menos 3 de las 4 eliminatorias, aunque está claro que el fútbol se encarga de revertir tendencias en cuestión de pocos minutos, ya ha sucedido en el pasado y es muy probable que también suceda en el futuro.

Fue bastante mediática la victoria del Arsenal ante el Real Madrid, los 2 golazos de tiro libre de Rice le dieron la vuelta al mundo y vaticinan una clasificación a semifinales, aunque eso es algo que debe materializarse en el partido de vuelta ya que con el equipo blanco nunca nada está dicho.

The song that I share today is not the musical style that I usually bring to the community, but it is a song that I loved playing, it has a very nice energy and you can feel it in every chord. Because of the frenetic rock and metal genre songs I usually play, it is difficult for me to play slow songs like these, believe me I struggled to control myself and play slow, but as I said, it felt pretty good, I think it is convenient for me to vary the musical genres.

The lyrics are one of the things I like the most about this song, but the beautiful rhythm is not far behind, it's a song that is rounded everywhere you look at it. Bruno Mars is one of the few pop artists I listen to, I think he is a genius, without a doubt a very talented guy. On the other hand, Gaga is not far behind, I think her style makes her a unique artist.

La canción que hoy comparto no es del estilo musical que suelo traer a la comunidad, pero es una canción que me encantó tocar, tiene una energía muy bonita y eso se siente en cada acorde. Por lo frenética que son las canciones de género rock y metal que acostumbro a tocar, se me dificulta tocar canciones lentas como estas, créanme que luché por controlarme y tocar pausado, pero como ya dije, se sintió bastante bien, creo que es conveniente para mí variar los géneros musicales.

Esta canción no necesita ningún tipo de presentación, se hizo viral en los últimos meses y no deja de sonar en todas las redes sociales, aparece en miles de reels y sencillamente hizo más famosos a Lady Gaga y a Bruno Mars, bueno, más famosos de lo que ya eran. La letra es de las cosas que más me gustan de esta canción, pero el hermoso ritmo no se queda atrás, es una canción es redonda por donde la veas. Bruno Mars es de los pocos artistas pop que escucho, creo que el es un genio, sin dudas un tipo muy talentoso. Por otra parte, Gaga no se queda atrás, creo que su estilo la hace una artista única.

Para grabar éste cover de bajo descargué la canción del canal oficial de Youtube de la banda, luego, usé la aplicación Moises para eliminar la línea de bajo original, de esa forma pude grabar una línea completamente limpia. Apliqué un par de efectos para dar protagonismo al bajo ya que evidentemente es el elemento central en mis presentaciones, pero traté de no exagerar en modificar el sonido original previamente grabado. Lo que hoy compartiré quizá parezca noticia vieja, pero lo que sucede es que en el fútbol el tiempo y las noticias abundan y vuelan. El pasado viernes se llevó acabo el sorteo de octavos de final de la UEFA Champions League para determinar los emparejamientos de los 16 equipos que siguen en carrera. Tal y cómo mencioné en mi anterior post, temía que se produjeran enfrentamientos entre equipos del mismo país, esa posibilidad existía para los dos equipos de Madrid y para el Bayer 04 Leverkusen y Bayern Munich, y bueno, así terminó ocurriendo.

Ya se jugó la inédita fase de knockout o playoffs de la UEFA Champions League y en ese sentido llegó el momento de dar mis impresiones al respecto. Ya había mencionado anteriormente que ésta era una de las novedades del nuevo formato le cual, desde mi punto de vista, está hecho para darle una segunda oportunidad a los equipos grandes que estuvieran teniendo una mala temporada, debo recordar que ésta fase la juegan equipos que no tuvieron la capacidad de clasificar a octavos de final de manera directa.

Grandes equipos como el Real Madrid, Manchester City, PSG, Milan, Juventus y Bayern Munich, tuvieron la incómoda tarea de jugar ésta fase con la intención de mantenerse en carrera, hay que destacar que una temprana eliminación en Europa para éstos equipos sería prácticamente lapidario para la temporada en general.

Para mi es un placer estar acá nuevamente, ésta es una comunidad que siempre me ha gustado mucho para compartir mis contenidos audiovisuales, ese es un formato que practico con bastante frecuencia y en ese sentido éste espacio es ideal para expresarme y para divertirme. Lo que hoy comparto es un quiz del famoso canal de YouTube PlayQuiz Trivia, en éste reto en particular debo puntualizar con que nombre se le conoce a ciertas frutas, verduras y objetos en mi país de origen, recordemos que cada región o país puede tener un nombre propio o distinto para cada elemento, es así que creo que es una dinámica bastante divertida.

Me pareció interesante revisar la actualidad de las grandes ligas europeas ya que algunas se encuentran en un buen momento desde el punto de vista emocional siendo que la diferencia de puntos entre los primeros lugares no es muy grande. Es verdad que aún falta mucho por jugarse, pero creo que hay tendencias que se empiezan a marcar en función a los posibles candidatos a campeones, pocas veces en los últimos años se han visto grandes remontadas, por lo que quienes estén actualmente en los primeros lugares, pues, seguramente se alzarán con el título en sus respectivas ligas.

Tenía mucho tiempo sin realizar publicaciones en ésta comunidad, pero considerando que tuve como idea realizar una dinámica un poco diferente para mi blog, pensé que la comunidad correcta sería ésta. Estuve leyendo detenidamente la descripción y reglas de la comunidad, y aunque no pude determinar claramente sí este contenido es apto, tampoco vi que estaba rompiendo alguna regla, así que soy todo oídos sí los moderadores consideran que éste tipo de contenido es válido o no, pero lo que sí es cierto es que relacionado con la comida.

Ya he hecho quiz en otras oportunidades, pero relacionados a otras temáticas, debo reconocer que me divierto mucho haciéndolos ya que son el tipo de dinámicas en las que tienes que tomar una decisión rápida y muchas veces pueden ser decisiones complejas, pero eso es lo bonito de todo esto. En ésta dinámica debo elegir de entre unas 40 incógnitas en las que me dan opciones de dos comidas, una de comida chatarra y otra de comida saludable. Como bien saben, todos nos debatimos diariamente entre los tipos de comidas que queremos para nuestro día a día, y aunque lo normal es que comamos en casa, a muchos nos gusta salir con frecuencia a comer algo en la calle.
