This account, @movtips, is the place where I share everything.
I want to make faceless videos that focus more on DIY on this channel.
The name of this channel is also the same as my other channels like my YouTube and other platforms.

@movtips is my own channel, and the videos I upload, whether from other platforms or not, are my personal works.

I want to make videos and articles about small tips about the digital world, and also stories behind the creative process which are often simple but meaningful.

I choose not to appear in front of the camera because I prefer to let the work speak for itself.
For me, creativity is not about who is seen, but about what can be felt and learned from our work.I found the Hive platform from users who came from Spain on various platforms.
At first, I wanted to join, but I didn’t know how. Then, I started learning about it over the past few days, and finally, I decided to take the step and register to give it a try.

Right now, I’m unemployed and don’t have a steady income.
I truly hope that by joining this amazing community, I can learn, grow, and eventually earn through my creativity here.

I also hope to learn from all of you so that I can use this amazing communication platform even better.

And in this first post of mine, I’d like to share a video I made some time ago about the fun moments I had with my friends making kites.

Summary of Making a Kite

Tools and Materials:

• Used broom sticks (palm leaf sticks).

• A sharp knife.

• String for tying.

Preparing the Main Frame:

Find a piece of dry bamboo about 1 meter long to be used as the main frame because of its strong nature.
The bamboo is trimmed or shaved to match the width of the kite’s wings, making it slightly thicker than the palm sticks.
The shaving process must be done carefully and slowly using a sharp knife to keep the surface smooth and prevent cracking.

Assembling the Kite Wings:

Four palm sticks are used for the wings (two on the top and two on the bottom). The lower sticks are cut slightly shorter than the upper ones to keep the wings balanced.
The sticks are tied firmly and neatly with string. The ends of the string are cut and slightly burned to secure the knots.
When tying the ends, extra care is needed because the tips of the sticks are very fragile. It’s important to ensure that both sides of the kite’s wings have the same length for proper balance.

Making the Kite Tail:

The kite’s tail frame is made with a small hole to provide better stability when attached.
The tail is created in different shapes — one in the form of a crescent and another in a square shape.
The most challenging part is tying the end of the tail frame to the wings because the material is thin; it must be tied carefully to avoid breaking.

Finishing and Flight Test:

After the entire frame is completed and confirmed to be balanced and sturdy, the next step is to cover it with plastic or paper.
The maker chose black with a touch of white for the color.
The kite was tested at night and flew perfectly, with a strong and steady pull on the string.
