Some of you may still know here from back in the day on the other platform we won't mention here...
Her name there was @lily-da-vine, but she hasn't been active on the platform for a while.
I won't go into the details of her past, but I will tell you how we met.
So all the way in the beginning here on Hive (well, the other one) I stumbled upon her account, and what I read was
interesting, to say the least. It was all about how she ended up in Acapulco, and how she tried to make ends meet.
Then, one day, she wrote about that she started brewing Kombucha, and since I also recently started to brew my own
Kombucha, all of a sudden, we had something to talk about LOL.
Even when she couldn't get into her account here anymore, I tried to keep in touch via Facebook.

There were a few times when I had planned to go to Anarchapulco, but something came up.
Then, two years ago, I finally made it out there, but this time Lily (Miranda is her real name) couldn't make it there,
and she stayed in another city in Mexico, where she now lives.

So after several attempts to meet that didn't work out, we finally met this year. YAY!
Now, over the years, I have seen Miranda go from a young girl who had left everything behind in the US to flee
to Mexico, get in and out of trouble in Acapulco, and one particular devastating event that happened in her life, to
the young woman she has become.
To me, she was always good, but when we finally met, I got to meet the very best version of her.
Undoubtedly changed by the many things that had happened over these past few years, she managed to crawl out
of the darkness and become who she is today.

One huge part of her life is this circus/silks training that she does. And also with this, I've seen her start out as
an amateur, and seen her develop into a pro.
I thought to share this video of her with you.
Excuse the bad video quality. I tried to edit a little but I don't have so much time, so I left it for the most part.
But I think you can still see the hard work that was put into this by Miranda, and how amazing it is.
I'm in awe, because I feel sick standing on the top of the stairs hahaha, so I'd never be able to do this kind of thing.
I respect this lady a lot, in everything she does and has become.

Hoping to see her next year.

I'll be posting more about our time in Acapulco (and Anarchapulco) in these next few days or so, but I wanted to share this
video of my youngest son receiving his blessings at the opening ceremony.
The owners of the site where the event was being held, organized the opening ceremony for volunteers and staff members.
Since my son was with me that morning, he was lucky enough to also receive his blessings.
He loved every moment of Anarchapulco, as I hardly saw him all day. He was running around with other kids all
day long and made new friends for life, while also learning new things along the way.
What more could I wish for?
We all had an amazing time, while my daughter and I were volunteering. We still had plenty of free time to meet the
people at the event and have a good time. Evenings were mostly spent at Max Egan's Crow Bar.
More about that later too!
At the end of the video, you can see that something of our time in Thailand still stuck with my boy hehe.
And that was 5 years ago!
