Good day to all of you. it's another beautiful week on Vibes web3 music competition, week 10. I have not been able to give a presentations here for the past four weeks because of various circumstances and my busy academic schedule, which involves juggling multiple projects and assignments. The majority of the time, I always find it challenging to balance my online and academic workloads. Yeah! I am happy I could make it here this week.

I will be performing a cover of Colbie Caillat's song "Try" for this week's presentation. I had heard this song before, but I was not into listening to it at the time. A few days ago, I saw it on YouTube in a movie advertisement, and I could not believe how often I found myself singing it all day, even though I was not singing it right..lol 😂. I recently had to listen to it again to understand the lyrics, and I discovered meaning in it.

The song is about embracing self-love. We are surrounded by many things in our environment that aim to undermine our self-worth, but we can always get through all of this by first learning to love ourselves. When we love ourselves, we are unconcerned about others' expectations. We must develop the ability to value ourselves.

We have to admit that we are not perfect and that we should not be too quick to judge our own performance. No matter how hard we try to meet the expectations of others, we will never be satisfied, which can be depressing. The most important thing is to love ourselves for what and who we are. Loving ourselves without seeking to please others is a journey of self-discovery.

Good day to all of you. I welcome you all to Vibes web3 music competition Week 7. I am grateful to @lordbutterfly for continuing to foster the community growth, and to all of the supporters,you are all doing a fantastic job. Yes, I am going to share a lovely song from SIA with you all today called "Chandelier."

I saw the song on YouTube and really like Sia's performance. Having said that, this song is just as good as the majority of her songs. I chose to present in vibes after giving it multiple listens.

Nevertheless I made mistakes when creating the presentation because of the way she used a different voice to begin each stanza, which gave her songs a distinctive sound. Yeah, I made the decision to give it a try as well. Although I had trouble with it at first, I eventually succeeded after making multiple attempts!

I created it by adding more strings to the bow, overlaying them, and combining them. I am happy with how it turned out and think it looks good. I've been practising it since four days ago because the pitch seems to be high for me, but after making different attempts, I was able to come out with something. I first did a capella version of it, and I downloaded the instrumental on YouTube to spice it up..hehe, Yeah! I'd love to know your thoughts about my cover 😊.

About the song; There are times we feel lonely and sad when someone who loved us or someone we loved is no longer with us, it might be our friends or family member, Sometimes we might lose them through death or they might choose to leave. I've got to understand that there are something we can not control in Life, something we don't wish for happens sometimes and we are left with no choice but to accept the reality.

Though it might be very difficult to get the memories out of our mind. "Just let it go" so they say, but it's not always easy, just like the singer poured out his emotions:

I came across "Jailer" By Asa.

However, that's not my first time listening to the song, but when I came across the song, it rang a bell in my head, Yeah, that's how I came across my song selection for this week. Asa Is one of my favourite artists because I love every one of her songs, though the majority of her songs are technical and it will require lots of time to perfect, though this particular one is not technical, just my thought.

According to the song, it's all about treating others the way we want to be treated. The future is the reflection of what we do today, and that's why we should treat people right today because we don't know where we'll meet them in the future. Just like the lyrics say "If you're walking on the marketplace, don't throw stones". We should be careful of what we do today because our deeds might turn around to hurt us tomorrow.

And we should not always be quick to judge others for their actions, we ask ourselves, what if we are in the same shoes as them, are we not going to do the same? When we are too quick to judge others, we'll be judged too because we are not perfect as humans, we make mistakes and we should give others the chance to correct their mistakes.

So today, I decided to dive into Flavour songs and I came across "Mama", Chidinma was featured in the song and for me, the song came out well with Chidinma's powerful voice. However, this is not my first time listening to the song, but it always sounds new each time I listen to it.

The song is dedicated to mothers, it is all about the impact they have made in our lives, they have struggled to shape us into a better version of ourselves. I'm a love of music, though I'm not good with all genres, I love gospel songs, hip hop, and RnB, though I'm not too good with RnB, just trying my best with it. For this presentation, I chose a song by Lauren Daigle, titled: First. I always come across the song anytime I visit YouTube, and I loved it the first time I listened to it, though I did not download it, when I came across this competition I decided to download it.

The song is all about seeking God first in all we do, just like it was written in the bible, Matthew 6:33 . It's a promise that he made to us. When we run to him, he's going to pave every concave road, and he will hold our hands when our strength seems to fail us, but it takes faith to look up to him. Hello everyone, it's so good to be here again today on Afri-tunes week 99. When I thought about making a presentation here, I didn't know the song to sing, I checked the suggested song for the week, and I picked one from it, but as I was going through my YouTube to search for the song, I came across a song by Judikay, titled "Song Of Angels (Ndi Mo Zi)", though that's not my first time of listening to the song but listening to it that moment made me change my mind, the song is spirit filled and I could not resist it.

When I look at my life and everything happening around me, I feel nothing but the goodness of God, even though there are different challenges, there was a time when I was not feeling well, and I was afraid of the symptoms I'm seeing, I was worried because I've not fallen sick before, except headache that will only require me to rest or take paracetamol and I'll be fine, the sickness made me visit a hospital for the first because I could not remember going there since I was in primary school, but I thank God that he won the battle for me and not only that, there are also other challenges but he made me prevail and I see him winning more battles for me.

I've missed the vibes, I've missed listening to others singing as well, and the joy I have when I sing is unfathomable, so singing here for a long time seems like something in me is missing. Hello everyone, hope you're all feeling good. It's been weeks since I posted on Afri-tunes because I have been dealing with something and it's good to be here again. For my presentation today, I'll be doing a cover song by Mercy Chinwo, titled "No More Pain". Whenever I listen to this song, it always gives hope that God is always there to take away our pain in difficult moments.

Everyone wants to live happily and enjoy the good things in life, but life is like a roller coaster, there are many ups and downs, there are times we feel happy and there moments we are faced pain and we might begin to ask ourselves, Why is life so painful? It's all because we are faced with difficult times that caused us great pain due to traumatic events, and this might change the way we see ourselves and life in general.

During pain, we might start to wonder if God is aware of the situation, but the truth remains, God is always aware, he is not apathetic to our pain, he feels the burden we feel, just like he's hearing the prayers of millions, he will always come through for us, he has promised us that he will lighten our heavy burden and ease our pain.

Sometimes, we might find it hard to wait on the lord, we want instant miracles, and when we don't see any changes, we might want to give up on life. Even when things make no sense, we should continue to hope in God, Hope is satisfied, and even during hard times, we can be sure that God is working to take away our pains, just like he has promised.
