Hello dear friends of #weekendexperiences, today I’m sharing with you my past Saturday night, when I was invited by some friends to a magical and unforgettable night of trova music. It took place outdoors, with a bit of theater, and we enjoyed good traditional music as well as new fusions.

When I arrived at the place, some friends were already there having coffee, including Pedro Lemus, a young troubadour from our beloved and emblematic city, an artist I've known for a long time. While the event was starting, we chatted a bit and exchanged stories from the past. I also asked Pedri what he would play, and he replied that it would be a surprise, that we’d have to wait for everything to start. How cruel! Hahaha.

When the moment arrived, one of the more experienced artists took the guitar, got inspired, and sat in front of everyone to delight us with his music. Later, others joined in to accompany him, and they gave a smooth and enjoyable performance.

I have to admit, these are the kind of places I like: calm, relaxed, with good background music where you can talk with friends and have a really pleasant time.

Here I’m sharing a video with a small snippet of what the night was like, along with a piece of one of the songs.

Días atrás estuve por el club de jazz que abre sus puertas todos los miércoles disfrutando un poco más de lo que tiene Eye&fe para compartir, por aquí les dejo este video de la sección de improvisación, donde el público también era protagonista pudiendo sumarse al grupo a desarrollar esta dinámica tan rica.

This was the poster that circulated throughout the city this week. It was the invitation from the group of young musical virtuosos to the house where they would perform, delighting us and gifting us with unique and unforgettable experiences.

Este era el póster que rondo toda la ciudad está semana, era la invitación que nos hacía el grupo de jóvenes virtuosos de la música a la casa donde se presentarían a deleitarnos y regalarnos experiencias únicas e inolvidables.

When good music calls, you have to answer. So, I grabbed a few friends and dragged them to the club to enjoy the band and have a pleasant evening. Some of them didn't like the genre, but once they were there and felt that vibe everywhere, they told me it was magical. I'm glad I achieved this.

Cuando la buena música llama hay que responderle, así que tomé a algunos amigos y los arrastre al club a disfrutar de la banda y pasar una noche agradable.
Algunos de ellos no les gustaba el género, pero al estar y sentir esa vibra que estaba por doquier uff me dicen que fue mágico.
Me alegra haber conseguido esto.

Among improvisation sections, drum solos, and duels between the pianist and the drummer, there was this improvisation segment with audience participation that was truly amazing. (I've shared the video above for you to enjoy.) The person on stage was Yurango, one of the many attendees who stepped up to join the band and flow with them. If I remember correctly, he was saying something like, "Let yourself flow, take off the shell." He talked about self-satisfaction, self-esteem, and removing the mask we often wear in front of the world. (Absolutely incredible.)

Entre secciones de improvisación, solos de batería y duelos entre el pianista y el baterista llegó esta sección de improvisación con participacion del público que fue muy genial, (por arriba les comparto el vídeo para que disfruten) el que está arriba del escenario era yurango uno de los tantos que nos encontrábamos disfrutando del evento que dio el paso y se puso a fluir juntos a la banda, si mal no recuerdo decía algo como " déjate fluir, quítate la cáscara" hablaba sobre la auto satisfacción y el autoestima y de quitarse la máscara que solemos llevar para con el mundo(bafff brutal.)

Hace unos días reabrió sus puertas, el "Iris Jazz Club" al cuál podríamos considerar el club de jazz más importante de todo el oriente del pais. Los protagonistas fueron Eyeife una banda de jóvenes que están reavivando la pasión por este genero poco escuchado en la isla y Yoecipri.

"I arrived at the venue after receiving an invitation from Yoecipri, who had been invited by one of the band members. Throughout the night, we enjoyed the freshness of the rhythms and their jazz with tendencies towards Afro-Caribbean music, which gave a special flavor. This, combined with their improvisation sections, conveyed how the music flowed through their beings and reached us in an incredible way, emphasizing that each performance is different and that there are unique moments that never repeat."

Llegué al lugar tras recibir una invitación por parte de yoecipri quien a su vez había sido invitado por uno de los integrantes de la agrupación. En el transcurso de la noche disfrutábamos de la frescura de los ritmos, su jazz con tendencias hacia la música afro caribeña, que daba un sabor especial. Esto sumado a sus secciones de improvisación que te trasmite como fluía la música por su ser y nos la hacían llegar de una manera increible y también diciendo que cada presentación es diferente y que hay momentos que son únicos y no se repiten.

Everything took a 360° turn when the band's pianist called my colleague to join them on stage and improvise something together. This gifted us one of the best moments of the night—a blend of harmonies and rhythms accompanied by Yoecipri's poetry. It was undoubtedly a unique moment for those present.
Although youth prevails in this group, it is accompanied by the great talent of all its members. Something that also impressed me greatly was their dynamic with the audience, providing total immersion and a complete sense of complicity.

Todo dio un giro de 360° cuando el pianista de la banda llamó a mi colega a que se subiera al escenario e improvisar algo junto a ellos, para así regalarnos uno de los mejores momentos de la noche una mescolanza de armonias y ritmos acompañados por las poesías de yoe sin duda un momento único para los que estaban allí .
En este grupo si bien prima la juventud, esta va acompañada por el gran talento de todos sus integrantes. Algo que me impresionó mucho también es las dinámicas que tienen para con el público brindando una inmersión total y una complicidad total para con este.

Eyeife nos trae a la escena una propuesta diferente para sacarnos de nuestra realidad por un rato y llevarnos a ese mundo do de todo es armónico y lo hace con una frescura insólita,aportando no solo sonoridades innovadoras sino que al mismo tiempo nos trae ciertas influencias de las diversas sonoridades qué se entremezclan en la isla (Cuba).
