Forgiveness! What a timely topic, I was just teaching my daughter with a value card the other day about forgiveness, so when I saw this topic on Hive Ghana's weekly prompt, I was excited to share my view and also the video I made with my daughter about it.

There is a popular saying that forgiveness is not about the person that hurt you but it's about you that choose to forgive and free your heart from any hurt. Forgiving others makes you happy and feel light. Gives you more space in your heart, so I choose forgiveness over holding gurges over and over again.

In layman's language, forgiveness can be defined as letting go of hurt. When someone does something that hurts you, instead of keeping it, You choose to be the bigger person and let it go, to me that's forgiveness.

Forgiveness doesn't come naturally to people we all train our minds to forgive and so many times I have had to question why I have to forgive and the other person is not remorseful or apologetic for what they have done to me, the more I thought about it the more I realise forgiveness is good for my soul and I'm happier when I forgive.

I have been hurt so many times and I have been on the part of bitterness so many times, all it brings to my life is chaos and more bitterness, I kept wishing bad for the people that hurt me, the more I do that the more they keep succeeding and then I keep feeling awful. That's a terrible way for me to live my life!

So I advised myself and got rid of unforgiveness so that I could live a meaningful and purposeful life. It doesn't make sense at first but I am in a good space right now and a better person.

I am happy, my skin is glowing, I make other people around me happy, I'm content, I don't care about karma catching up with people that hurt me, I just live my life with so much love in me and that's all that matters to me and also that's what forgiveness will do to you!

Forgiveness is not a choice, it's a must for us all. To live a life of focus and direction, we must all learn to forgive and let go.

I can't help but add this, forgiveness is not stupidity, it doesn't mean you allow people to hurt you over and over again, you can forgive people and still keep your distance. Forgiveness is for you not to grow bitterness for the person but it's ok to cut off any toxic relationship and unhealthy relationship.

Forgiveness simply put: I choose myself over other people's madness.

My husband and I like to create time to teach and study with the kids. The video above shows one of those moments. These are the moments I look forward to because they also help to create bonding moments with the kids.

I believe strongly that learning should be flexible for kids and it should be a mixture of learning and entertainment which is called edutainment. I try as often as I can to entertain my kids while teaching them.

Edutainment is a way of learning that makes the kids relaxed, feel free and they are learning. Children get bored easily so to get their attention to study you have to be creative and innovative.

I recently bought a talking flashcard for my daughter and learning with her has taken a different shape. The cards get her attention and the sound excites her and yet she's learning gradually.

This brings to light the importance of having the right learning resources around, With educational toys and Montessori toys, it's easy to teach and entertain the children.

My older daughter learnt how to write with a writing board used in the video, which allows her to write and also clean and re-write the letters and numbers.

This helps her to get familiar with the letters and numbers and also helps her to write better. She's just 3 years old and she can write well and also identify letters and numbers perfectly, this was achieved with the aid of learning resources and constant practice.

These learning resources make study time easy and entertaining. I'm glad to be able to share some of our study time with you guys.

We as parents need to make an effort to ensure we don't leave all the work in the hands of the teacher because it's easy for our children to learn from us the parents.

Loosen and make my new hair with me

Hello beautiful ladies, how are you all doing? It's been a beautiful week but not friendly weather here, it's too hot right here. The weather is not friendly at all and I can't wait for the rainy season.

They used to say that hair is the beauty of women and I agree with this statement because in so many ways, hair just magnifies the beauty in me and so many women I know and that's why I would like to share with you how I remove my crochet and braided my hair.

I documented most of it in the video, I had carried my crochet for about two months or more, lol don't blame this baby girl, making hair has become a luxury and you just have to maintain the one you have for as long as you can.

The weather is getting too hot so I just wanted something simple, so I opted for simple braids. I removed my crochet all by myself and headed to the salon to wash and braid the hair.

I removed the crochet a day before going to braid the hair so that I could go with my daughter and we would make our hair together, we both went but unfortunately, I couldn't document her hairstyle because I was busy with other things.

I love how simple my new hair is and I can't wait to rock it. Did anyone notice the beads on the braids? I love putting beads in my braids so I can always shake my head when I'm bored and the beards will be making noise which is entertaining to me....hahaha, I love weird stuff.

Playground time is always an amazing time to look forward to, my daughter loves to play in her school playground and lucky for her, the school playground is always open after school hours.

She joined this new school this session, in her formal school there was no playground and she will always see playgrounds in other schools and her cartoon videos, she always spoke about how she'd love to play in a playground and we have not had the opportunity to take her to one.

So it was like a dream come true when she finally went to a school that had a playground. Whenever we go pick her up from school she will be super excited because she knows she will play in her playground.

She will always interact so well with other kids in the playground and that always makes me happy because she is developing good social skills. I can't wait till the day I can take both her and her sister to a park, so they have a whole day of fun.

I have come to realise that outdoor activities are a great way to learn but my daughters have not maximised outdoor learning activities because they are most often indoors with me. I hope that changes this year as I plan to take them out most often so they can learn from the environment.

Playground time has become a little family time, her father and I get to spend with her and she loves it, I'm glad we can create that little time for her because it makes her feel special and loved.

When she's home, we have to share time between her and her sister but with playground time, about 20 minutes is dedicated to just her and she loves the attention. I have realized it's a good thing to create individual time for my kids, as it helps with bonding and getting to know them better.
