La prueba de Hematocrito, es un tipo de análisis de sangre que mide qué cantidad de sangre está compuesta de glóbulos rojos.

Se puede usar para determinar la presencia de afecciones como la anemia, la deshidratación, la desnutrición y la leucemia.

El proceso del mismo es muy sencillo de realizar, se debe identificar los tubos capilares para que no se mezclen las muestras.
Se hace el llenado de tubos capilares con la muestra correspondiente en cada uno, luego asegurarse que está bien sellado con plastilina.

Se procede a colocar en la micro centrífuga de Hematocrito, los tubos capilares con las muestras de sangre. Se asegura y se enciende, con un tiempo de 4 minutos.
Ya pasado este tiempo se espera que se detengan y se retiran los tubos capilares para hacer la lectura de los glóbulos rojos, con una tabla que pueden ser medidos.

Dependiendo del paciente, si es niño, niña, hombre adulto, mujer adulta, va a corresponder un valor determinado.

En este video, te estaré mostrando como se realizan estás pruebas y para qué sirven; primero que nada se debe tomar la muestra de sangre y colocar en un tubo morado el cual tiene un coagulante de [EDTA], cuya función es que la sangre no se coagule, se debe identificar este tubo y el material a utilizar, solo se llena la copa de VSG, hasta la marca y se coloca un tubo de wintrobe ella, se debe asegurar antes que el tubo de wintrobe no tenga burbujas de agua, ya realizado este paso, se debe esperar 1 hora aproximadamente para poder leer el resultado del recorrido realizado por los glóbulos rojos, esta prueba no es más que medir el recorrido de los glóbulos rojos, ayudando a detectar inflamaciones o infecciones en nuestro cuerpo, así que si sospechas de estos síntomas, pues ya sabes qué prueba podrás realizarte y cómo es el proceso tras este examen.
