This song came straight from the place of worship. I was in church one day, reflecting deeply during a quiet moment, and suddenly the inspiration began to flow. I believe the Holy Spirit dropped the melody and lyrics into my heart, and I knew I had to write it down immediately.

That moment felt sacred, like God reminding me of His return and the need to always be ready. The lyrics carry that urgency and intimacy, and every time I sing it, I’m reminded of His presence and His promise.

It has always been a desire in my heart to use my gift, not just for myself, but to bless others. And this platform, Hive Open Mic, is a dream come true. It’s giving me the space and encouragement to share my talent, not just in writing music but also playing the keyboard, which I’ve been practicing faithfully.

It’s been a while since I posted here on the AFRI-Tunes community due to my demanding academic schedule, but I’m excited to be back! School has kept me fully occupied, with many responsibilities and activities pulling my attention. However, in the midst of it all, music has remained close to my heart, always echoing quietly within.

It’s been a while, and I’m excited to return to OpenMic with a song that came straight from my heart. I wrote this song titled “Holy Ghost, I Wait on You” during a moment of deep hunger for God’s presence. It’s a personal cry, a longing for the guidance, comfort, and strength that only the Holy Spirit can bring.
