I find What Doesn't Kill You as a tricky and dangerous ruleset, one have to be careful about the speed, sometimes the slower monsters get to do a great damage that might impact the game if they get enraged.

What Doesn't Kill You: All Monsters have the Enraged ability.
Now combining Enraged ability with Scattershort makes it more fun and when it comes to Aimless ruleset with dominantly magic or range attacks, I think luck plays a vital role since attacks are not aimless.

Luckily I won this fight.

My Lineup

I had MYCELIC INFANTRY in the frontline as my Tank, I was hoping it will be enraaged so its stats can increase so I wasn't worried about the speed of 1 it has.
And it wasn't long until Mycelic Infantry was attacked and got enraged in the first round of the battle, though it missed a 6 melee damage attack on opponent's Quora in the 6, fortunately it didn't cost me the fight.

The was a battle of utilizing Martyr ability cards so I placed VENARI MARKSRAT in the second spot so that its elimination will benefit my Tank and Quora which was next to Marksrat.

Marksrat was eliminated in the second round but it made an impact of building up stats for Quora and Mycelic Infantry.

QUORA TOWERSHEAD occupied the third spot in my lineup with the Bloodlust and Heal ability.

Quora eliminated the opponent's Venari Marksrat in the second round for a boost in stats. An immediate attack was lunched against my Marksrat resulting in its elimination and increased stats for my Quora.
So by the time both Quora got onto the frontline they were a lot more deadly with increased stats.
Fortunated my Quora lunched the attack first on the opponent's which gave me the victory I seeked.

FUNGUS FLINGER was placed next to Quora for the same purpose as Marksrat, to utilize the Martyr ability which ended working well as intended.
Fungus Flinger was eliminated in the third round and Quora capitalized.

ACID SHOOTER survived the fight in style with gained stats from the elimination of Fungus Flinger. From the fourth spot it attacked from range.

I placed MYCELIC MORPHOID in the last spot in my lineup due to the Thorns ability it has for incase of Sneak attacks. I was at a risk of elimination from scattershort attacks but fortunately it survived the battle along with Quora and Acid Shooter.

I am not one that enjoys attacking from one main point like I did in this battle with all my cards set up to attack only the frontline but it worked well since I was forced by my opponent's Taunt card to attack the frontline which looked solid enough to give me problems.

Coeurl Lurker is not one to get rid of easily due to the Phase and Dodge abilities. Fortunately, my magic monsters helped.

Despite the newer cards Axemaster still remains a deadly range monster in the game, I was worried when I saw my opponent put out a level 3 Axemaster against me. Those double strike gets the job done brutally when an opponent isn't protected.

It is a card work upgrading if one has the means.

I have continued to take part in the tournament, at least it is helping me to not worry too much as the company is looking for cheap flight to NZ which is causing delays of my departure.

So the Splinterlands tournaments are keeping me busy as I don't have to worry about Energy Bar, in fact, I have a lot of battles to do daily, the Focus battles and even the brawl battles all get me busy.

Yesterday I finished 6th and was rewarded with 100 DEC, today I finished 9th with another 100 DEC as a reward.

The tournaments have exposed me to some great strategic players which I have been taking note of. One being the opponent of the battle, if I am not mistaken he has finished first in one of the recent tournaments and I often see him in the top 10 so when I saw that he is my opponent, I told myself, I have to win against him and fortunately I did.

It wasn't a favorable rulest for us both but with some luck I put up a line up that emerged victorious.

All Cutter Brieze needed was to eliminate an enemy to trigger the bloodlust ability ability and from there on the 1 mana gladiator got extremely hungry for more.

That was a cool Gold Foil lineup by my opponent and when curiosity drove me to check out his deck, I was impressed with the Gold Foil collection that his deck boasts of.

It will cost me a fortune to build such a deck.

Sporcerer, a card that never really appealed to me, sometimes I even forget its ability.

I wonder why Sporcerer was included in the lineup since 90% of my opponent's attack is magic attacks, the Rust ability isn't of much impact unless if the intention is to make attacks easier for Unicorn Mustang in the frontline.

Sporcerer might appeal to me from level 4 where it gains the Silence ability but I can get that from Goblin Psychic at a higher level.

Though I thought I was going to get cooked when I saw my opponent's lineup, fortunately, speed was on my side and there were great attacks at the enemy backline that made the fight so easy to win.

I decided to try out 3 Opportunity ability cards and see how it goes. I had to sacrifice using the -2 Armor Eternan Brune offers for the Helios Matriarch offers.

Fina Voxom has always reminded me of Dragon Jumper, I used to dread fighting against Dragon Jumper, though lately I rarely come up against it on the battlefield.

So having Dragon Jumper join the party with Voxom and Sinash wasn't a bad idea as it reduced the workload on Voxom, the great thing about them is they are all fast in speed with Sinash providing the Swift ability.

Interestingly they all ended the battle with a speed of 7.

The Snare and Stun abilities of Dragon Jumper make it a deadly Opportunist.

I expected my opponent to show up with General Sloan but surprisingly, there were 3 magic cards in a Counterspell ruleset which really isn't of much good, Izia can still be considered a suitable card due to the Void ability it has, and too bad for Captain Katie.

As for me, opting for range attacks paid off using Silvershield Sheriff and my Tank in the second spot due to its high health.

The speed of Ajax Lightfoot is super impressive, with a speed of 6 from level 1, Lightfoot gains Dodge ability from level 4.

Captain Katis is mostly favored gladiator but Ajax Lightfoot is no joke. With the Dodge ability, having it at the backline could prove very useful in giving sneak attacks a hard time.

Though Lightfoot's strength seems to be dominated by speed considering the increase in stats each time it eliminates and enemy.

Wands Out: Screwed By Owster Rotwell

Within the last 3 days, I have been unlucky to get battles with Wands Out ruleset. I managed to get 3 battles and lost I lost 2 and won 1 through a fled opponent from brawl, so am stuck with sharing the one I lost which is okay for a change since I mostly share battles that I won.

Only monsters with magic attacks may be used in battle.

Bortus is my most suitable summoner for Wands Out ruleset because of the -1 magic impact it has on the opponent's lineup but since it is a Little League ruleset, Death Splinter is more suitable considering the cards I have but everyone knows I suck as Death Splinter.

My Lineup

Feeling helpless and less confident, I threw DOCTOR BLIGHT onto the first spot in my lineup due to the 4 health it has. The Affliction and Camoulgae abilities are of no help in this battle, it might have helped if I had a level 2 Doctor Blight with Poison ability.

So Doctor Blight never made it beyond the first round.

I was counting on the Life Leech ability of LIFE SAPPER to stay in the battle a bit longer but fighting against Owster Rotwell in a Wandsout ruleset gave me little chance of emerging victorious, so it is no surprise I got screwed by a low level summoner.

REVEALER is known for the Stun ability, I counted on Revealer to produce the Stun stuff it is known for but, every hope of winning crumbled. So there was nothing my lineup could really do, it was a lost battle before the fight began.

VENARI BONESMITH occupied the backline of my lineup because it is the most useful and dangerous magic monster in my lineup due to the Life Leech and Poison abilities it has.

It didn't take long for me to realize my plan was nowhere near working against Owster Rotwell in this battle ruleset.

Speed was a determinant factor in my mind and that of my opponent as we put out our lineup for battle, I went for a summoner with +1 speed and Clockwork Aide with Swift ability while my opponent put out Quix with -1 speed and Baakjira's slow ability against my lineup.

It was interesting how we had similar use of speed in mind with opposing impact that turned out a balance from the onset.

Aside from the swift ability of Clockwork Aide, the high armor with low health created the necessary distraction for my opponents's Opportunity ability monsters that gave me some time to get the damage done.

It will be nice to see the Rust ability of Clockwork Aide at play. Other than that, it has been a very useful card to my lineup now and then when I do decide to use it.

I never hesitate to use Eternan Brune as my summoner whenever I anticipate Grandmaster Rathe as the summoner I will be coming up against considering it is tough fighting against Grandmaster with the +1 Armor, Void Armor, and Amplify abilities.

So when I take off the armor, the fight becomes a lot easier for me Voxom and Sinash.

It was a Briar Patch ruleset, a ruleset not suitable for melee cards but I had to use Voxom and make sure it was protected. That is where the Protection ability of Ferox Defender comes in and it worked out well as intended. This is the second time I will be deploying this strategy successfully.

Ferox Defender has been proving to be very useful for my lineup, it is going to be a very useful card at level 6 which I am now 17 copies short of. However, I will have to wait for a level 5 Fire summoner to use it at level 6 for the Repair ability it offers.
