The song talks about the healing water of God which has been made available for us all. All we need to do is to tap into it to claim it. Its already ours, it flows through us. Its liken to the holy spirit and the power of God within us which is able to build and guides us wherever we find ourselves in.

This song has been been helping me to get connected with the higher power of late. It encourages me that someone is readily available for me most especially in this trying times. It jas not been easy but i know God is always there for me and He will come through. I remember the first day I heard this song, I was stuck to it so much so it was on repeat that particular day. I find myself doing that again of late, that is putting it on constant repeat. It's such a blessing to have such a comforting reminder that we are not alone.

One of the things I admired about Frank Edwards was the making of the beat of this song. The water tapping that is being heard in the instrumental is an actual and real life water tapping. I saw a video clip showing how he created the sound but pouring water into a bucket and tapping it rhythmically to create that melodious song. Aside from the melody, it gives a realistic quality to the song and for that, and that is something i love so much about the song. I hope this song blesses you as much as it blesses me.

I'm super excited to be a part of this amazing competition. I've been following the submissions from other artists and I'm simply blown away. A special shoutout to @lordbutterfly for coming up with this awesome initiative.

Today I will be doing a cover of the song "A new day has come" by Celine Dion. After thinking for a while on which song will be the best choice for this week especially being the first week, I finally decided to go with this one. I choose this song in order to mark the beginning of something great and amazing in this community.

I've been a huge fan of this song for a long time now because it has a beautiful lyrics and a lovely rhythm. It's no surprise to see how special the song is to Celine as she dedicated the song to her newborn son. She had been waiting for the gift of a child and finally she was blessed with a boy. Upon her return to stardom, she decided released this song which turned out to be an evergreen song. Ever since I've heard this song, it has been a song of hope and encouragement to me. Hope for a better tomorrow and a new dawn.

That same hope is what I have for this lovely community and this competition beacuse I believe it is going to bring lots of amazing vibes to all creative in this space.

Simi is a Nigerian musician who have this beautiful and amazing soprano voice. She had sang a couple of popular songs like Duduke, Jerome, Love don't care etc. Her voice is vert distinct and just so lovely and pleasing to listen to.

"Smile for me" is a beautiful love song that talks about being there for the one you love no matter the circumstances nor situation. How you havr to bring out your best side whenever you're around the person you love. The song is rich in lyrics and the rhythm is wonderful. The song came out around the time when I was in the University. I remember I was doing my final year lab work then. There was this particular day that I put this song on repeat in the lab and it created a strong memory in my head. Now whenever I listen to the song, I always remember that day in the lab. Lol.

For as long as I could remember, I've been a huge fan of Ed Sheeran and this particular song is one of my favourite of his. This song describes a beautiful love story and how he fell in love sith her right from the time they were kids. The song talks about his dreams and hopes in the relationship and the great things that's about to happen to them in the future.

Love is a beautiful thing that looks past imperfection. It embraces both the good and bad. One part of the lyrics that I love is when the lady was feeling insecure about her looks and he had to assure her that she looks perfect just the way she is. When you fall in love with someone, you tend to embrace everything about them. That is the beauty of Falling in love.

Shoutout to this week's spotlight artist @stefanovah for choosing this wonderful topic. In response to it, I will be doing a cover of the song Grace by Lewis Capaldi. I've been a huge fan of this song for a long time due to the artist's amazing voice.

Another thing I love about the song is its beautiful and relatable lyrics. Lewis is someone that don't just write and sing just anyhow. He takes time into developing his lyrics which makes them to be so relatable whenever he sings. This song for example talks about his ex whom he doesn't want to leave nor forget about. He is keeping her memories alive even though they are no longer together. He doesn't want her Grace, composure, love and attitude leave his memories. I think it's just a beautiful thing to do and that's because of how amazing his ex was to him. I relate well with the lyrics and so I decided to do a cover of it for this week because it fits the theme perfectly.

Since it was a guy that sang the song originally, the key he used happened to be a little high while was singing it due to the fact that I'm a woman. Our voices differs from guy's voice. I choose the theme "BEACON OF LIGHT" because it has a special meaning to me. I suffer from depression and other mental health issues and it got so bad that few years back I even tried to kill myself. At that lowest moment of mine, I was surrounded by my family. Their grace, help and kindness saved me. God used them to be my Beacon of light till date. Apart from family, I've been blessed with some special friends too who had always been there for me. Sometimes I sit and think about how miserable life might have been if these people aren't in my life. Most days I just can't find the zeal to continue, but they are always there to remind me of the amazing journey God has placed in front of me and not to give up. They are my Beacons of light. They come in form of family, friends, neighbours, colleagues and many more. God works in mysterious ways and he will use different people to bless other people.

I am also using this theme to encourage us to be that Beacon of light to those around us. A simple text message can go a long way in saving a life. A simple act of giving can turn another person's present moment around for good. A smile to a stranger can just brighten up his/her day. Being a Beacon of light is not so hard at all. They are simple acts of kindness that we might not see as a big of a deal but they go a long way to those receiving it. Let this be a part of us so much that wherever we find ourselves, our light will radiates around and touch lives positively.

When I read about this song online, I realized it's about an experience Adele had when she reunited with people from her childhood at a party and from the lyrics you could tell she's reliving some beautiful memories she had with a particular person. At first when she saw the person, she was wondering if its still the same person she used to know and then she started contemplating if she should approach the person or not. In my mind I'd assume that person is a man. Probably they were best friends or even lovers then life made them to grew apart. Upon seeing each other after so many years, they had beautiful memories to share with each other.

Another amazing thing about the lyrics is that, they plan to make new memories. From the lyrics, the part which says Let me photograph you in this light in case it is the last time that we might, be exactly like we were.... meant she wanted to immortalise that moment and cherish it for years to come again. The song's lyrics is so beautiful and rich because they not only relive memories, they created new ones which is amazing.
Life is very short and with the little time we have, its important to create beautiful memories with our loved ones. Memories that we will carry on for life, Core memories.

Cuando leí sobre esta canción en línea, me di cuenta de que se trata de una experiencia que tuvo Adele cuando se reunió con personas de su infancia en una fiesta y, por la letra, se notaba que estaba reviviendo algunos hermosos recuerdos que tuvo con una persona en particular. Al principio, cuando vio a la persona, se preguntó si todavía era la misma persona que solía conocer y luego comenzó a contemplar si debería acercarse a la persona o no. En mi mente asumiría que esa persona es un hombre. Probablemente eran mejores amigos o incluso amantes, entonces la vida los hizo distanciarse. Al verse después de tantos años, tenían hermosos recuerdos para compartir.
Otra cosa sorprendente de las letras es que planean crear nuevos recuerdos. De la letra, la parte que dice Déjame fotografiarte con esta luz en caso de que sea la última vez que seamos exactamente como éramos... significaba que quería inmortalizar ese momento y atesorarlo durante años para llegar de nuevo. La letra de la canción es tan hermosa y rica porque no solo reviven recuerdos, sino que crean otros nuevos, lo cual es increíble.

The song is one of my favourite of Adele if not my favourite sef, so I'm quite familiar with the song though that did not make it all easy to sing. Some part of the song are really low and it's hard to sing that low with my soprano voice but I did try my best to sing it. Lol. Kindly take it as it is🙏. This song starts with the mother of the artist telling him that in life, he will face so many difficult situations but he should not worry because no evil will befall him as he is a child of God. Then the lyrics of the song went on to tell us how he struggled to provide for his family because if they are not comfortable then he can't be. This is a story of many young men who is the breadwinner of their families. I want to send a special shoutout to you all women included. Family is a precious thing and keeping them save, happy and comfortable is a responsibility we must carry. I myself can't stand anything bad happening to my family. They mean the world to me and I know I will go extra miles to make sure they are OK. Its even a privilege to have our family with us. A lot will give just anything to still have their families with them but they are not more or they are seperated. It is a gift we should never take for granted. Welcome to hive open mic week 171. The theme for this week is Divorce/Separation by the amazing @merit.ahama and for that I will be doing a cover of the song Someone like you by Adele. When I saw the theme earlier this week, I knew I was gonna sing either Easy on me or Someone like you. Infact I eventually did sing both but I decided to go for "Someone like you" for some reasons. Scrolling through the community page, I realized lot Adele songs were being sang which is not a surprise. She has an amazing way of turning her pain into Masterpiece songs and life has given her her own share of pain.

El tema de esta semana es Divorcio/Separación de la increíble @merit.ahama y para eso haré una versión de la canción Alguien como tú de Adele. Cuando vi el tema a principios de esta semana, supe que iba a cantar Easy on me o Alguien como tú. De hecho, eventualmente canté ambos, pero decidí elegir "Alguien como tú" por algunas razones. Al desplazarme por la página de la comunidad, me di cuenta de que se estaban cantando muchas canciones de Adele, lo cual no es una sorpresa. Tiene una forma increíble de convertir su dolor en canciones de Masterpiece y la vida le ha dado su propia parte del dolor.

Someone like you is a sad song not just because she's trying to move on after the separation but the fact that she still dream of dating someone like him which shows how much she's still attached to him. It's very understandable because it's very hard to let go especially if you are so much inlove with the fellow. In this case, the guy has moved on and had even gotten married while she hasn't yet. This song is more or less like an encouragement to herself to pick herself back up cus there are lot of amazing guys out there to wallow in sadness.
I'm using this song to encourage everyone passing through one heartbreak or the other not to give up. Love will find you again and you will once again be happy.

Beautiful morning to you all. I want to welcome you all to Afritunes week 71. Today I will be doing a cover of the song Let me want what you want by Dr Paul Enenche. This song will be the longest song I've ever sang in this community so far. This is because now I'm able to extract longer instrumental on my Moises app after subscribing to the app. I've wanted to do this song for a while now but I couldn't because I was limited. I'm so happy that finally I'm able to.

This song is such a powerful song that has ministered to me lot of times. It talks about wanting the desire of God, thirsting for him. It about living our lives for him every day and every second. Walking in God's path can never lead to destruction because He knows what's best for us. In all situations, he has the perfect solution. That's why it's important for us to yearn for him deeply and do his biddings.
