Greetings, friends of Hive and curious researchers of cinema and audiovisual arts. On this occasion, I would like to share with you an editing process. This is a project that was carried out to promote a new module of the intensive audiovisual course at the “Tras de Cámara” school by @peinetaspro.

El proceso fue algo complicado, aún sigo aprendiendo en un nuevo programa de edición, cambiar de interfaz no es nada fácil y algunos procesos son más complicados que otros en Davinci Resolve, pero me alegra en gran manera aprender un poco más cada día.

Pues si, sucede que la escuela " Tras de Cámara " comenzará una nueva etapa éste 22 de noviembre, con un nuevo módulo del curso gracias a qué fue bien recibido en Guarenas, las clases son impartidas en el C.C Rojo en Nueva Casarapa.

The process was somewhat complicated. I am still learning a new editing program. Changing interfaces is not easy, and some processes are more complicated than others in Davinci Resolve, but I am very happy to learn a little more every day.

Well, yes, it turns out that the “Tras de Cámara” school will begin a new phase on November 22, with a new course module thanks to its positive reception in Guarenas. Classes are held at the C.C. Rojo in Nueva Casarapa.

Friends, I hope you are all doing well. On this occasion, I would like to share my experience working with Sowi at an event held at Cinepic in the Sambil shopping center in La Candelaria. Cinepic is a relatively new cinema chain in Caracas, Venezuela, which opened its doors for the first time last year (2024).

The reason for this event was to celebrate the tenth anniversary of El Pitazo, an independent news website. Sowi was there to provide excellent catering services for everyone, along with other brands such as Caroreña, IEAPAN, Yolo yogurt, and a few others. The service provided by all of them was incredible.

As always, my job is to record the event on video and in photographs. I always try to make the context very clear, and of course the brand. It is very interesting that my work takes me to the cinema, but not as a spectator or an exhibitor, but to the facilities in a totally different context from the one I was trained in at UNEARTE. I am very grateful for all the experiences and I know that this path has many variables, but I am willing to enjoy them all.

Amigos espero se encuentren de maravilla, en esta ocasión les comparto mi experiencia junto a Sowi trabajando en un evento que se desarrolló en Cinepic en el C.C Sambil de la Candelaria, está en una cadena de cines en Caracas, Venezuela, relativamente nueva, ya que abrió sus salas por primera vez el año pasado (2024)

El motivo de este evento era la celebración del décimo aniversario de El Pitazo. Este es un sitio web de noticias independiente. Sowi estuvo presente para brindarles un gran servicio de catering a todos, junto a otras marcas también, estuvo la Caroreña, IEAPAN, yogurt Yolo y algunas otras marcas, el servicio de toda fue increíble.

Cómo siempre mi labor es registrar el evento en video y fotografía, intento siempre dejar muy claro el contexto, y porsupuesto la marca, es muy interesante mi trabajo me lleve al cine, pero no como espectador no como exponente, sino a las instalaciones en un contexto totalmente diferente al que me he formado en UNEARTE. Agradezco bastante todas las experiencias y sé que este camino tiene muchas variables, estoy dispuesta a disfrutarlas todas.

Greetings friends of Hive, a few days ago we were in a production with Peinetas Producciones, the second season of Al Aire Libre with rappers Kechu and Niche. I had the opportunity to edit one of the behind the scenes, which is the one I show you in this post.

Este es un proyecto de varios vídeos, donde el equipo de Peinetas Producciones nos estaremos turnando en cada pauta, el director de este proyecto es @mundomanaure pero los demás integrantes nos hemos estado rotando en cada pauta para las diferentes áreas, además habrá ocasiones donde no asistamos todos para facilitar la producción y el buen desarrollo de cada vídeo.

This is a project of several videos, where the team of Peinetas Producciones will be taking turns in each guideline, the director of this project is @mundomanaure but the other members have been rotating in each guideline for the different areas, in addition there will be times where we do not all attend to facilitate the production and the good development of each video.

Está vez grabamos en el Paseó Anauco por Bellas Artes, me alegra ver qué estén utilizando estos espacios para programar actividades recreativas, nosotros nos acercamos a pedir permiso unos días antes y sin problema accedieron para realizar está producción. @jorgetenzi y yo nos encargamos de la iluminación, lo que hicimos fue reforzar la fuente de luz principal que era el sol, utilizando las luces LED VGM par borrar las sombras que genera la luz casi cenital de las 10 y 11 am, del lado izquierdo el pavimento funcionó como rebotador, iluminando desde abajo los rostros, por lo que comenzamos la pauta solo iluminando del lado derecho que era donde las sombras se aventaban. Cómo este era un plano secuencia que implicaba un seguimiento, tuvimos que acoplarnos a ese movimiento para que la escena siempre estuviera iluminada.

This time we filmed at the Paseó Anauco by Bellas Artes, I'm glad to see that they are using these spaces to program recreational activities, we approached to ask permission a few days before and without problem they agreed to do this production. @jorgetenzi and I were in charge of the lighting, what we did was to reinforce the main light source which was the sun, using the VGM LED lights to erase the shadows generated by the almost zenithal light at 10 and 11 am, on the left side the pavement worked as a bouncer, illuminating the faces from below, so we started the pattern only lighting on the right side which was where the shadows were thrown. As this was a sequence shot that implied a tracking shot, we had to adapt to that movement so that the scene would always be lit.

Contamos con el registro de sonido de unos compañeros que viven en Bellas Artes Giovanni y Gabriela, quienes hicieron un impecable registro, por otro lado estuvo el hermano @sgarciacine cómo asistente de dirección y realizando el registro de video para el detrás de cámaras. @crily.love fue la encargada de realizar el catering en esta pauta, unos deliciosos mini Pepitos gratinados, aparte nuestra amiga estuvo registrando desde su teléfono las tomas de el detrás de cámara que les comparto en este post. We had the sound recording of some colleagues who live in Bellas Artes Giovanni and Gabriela, who made an impeccable record, on the other hand was the brother @sgarciacine as assistant director and making the video recording for the behind the scenes. @crily.love was in charge of the catering in this pattern, some delicious mini Pepitos gratin, besides our friend was recording from her phone the shots of the behind the camera that I share in this post. Greetings hivers, artists and researchers of the arts and the Hive blockchain. This past Friday we finished the semester at UNEARTE, I had a week full of work because we had the final delivery in all curricular units, including lighting and camera. This, coupled with some personal situations almost drove me crazy, but you can always do it.
Today I share with you a camera and lighting exercise, this was the final evaluation of both subjects. It was really an assignment where we were given a lot of freedom to explore, the only requirement was that it had to last a minute and a half maximum. The aspects to be evaluated were of course camera, lighting and staging.

Debo admitir que fue bastante improvisado este ejercicio, sobre todo en términos de guión, realmente nunca he sido buena para escribir guiones literarios así que fue un reto para mí, pues no tenía una historia bien estructurada y contaba con poquísimo tiempo, así que decidí mostrar una secuencia. Una chica corre por las escaleras, huye de la presencia de un hombre que la atormenta.

I must admit that this exercise was quite improvised, especially in terms of script, I have never really been good at writing literary scripts so it was a challenge for me, as I didn't have a well structured story and I had very little time, so I decided to show a sequence. A girl is running down the stairs, fleeing from the presence of a man who is tormenting her.

Luego de tener la idea, cuando comencé a pensar en los planos y en como quería que se viera cada uno de ellos lo primero que hice fue delimitar fronteras, ¿Qué es realizable y que no? Antes de empezar a estructurar cualquier idea creo que es fundamental hacerse esa pregunta, sino, materializar la idea pude volverse un caos. Éramos solo tres personas y dos de nosotros debían actuar, eso nos limitó un poco a nivel de producción, sin embargo teníamos a nuestro favor el tiempo de duración del video, un minuto y medio.

After having the idea, when I started to think about the plans and how I wanted each one of them to look like, the first thing I did was to delimit boundaries, what is feasible and what is not? Before starting to structure any idea I think it is essential to ask yourself that question, otherwise, materializing the idea could become a chaos. We were only three people and two of us had to act, that limited us a little at the production level, however we had in our favor the duration of the video, a minute and a half.

Grabamos en la universidad, esto nos complicó un poco ya que no podíamos interferir con los horarios de clases en los espacios donde decidimos rodar, esta situación nos daba un límite de tiempo y nos obligaba a ser lo más eficientes que se pudiera, poniendo lo mejor de nuestra parte para realizar la menor cantidad de tomas posibles y así optimizar al máximo el tiempo de rodaje. Tomando en cuenta que éramos solo tres personas era esencial tener un plan de rodaje, así que elabore algo bien detallado y cuando llegamos ya sabíamos claramente cómo y dónde actuar, esto nos ahorró un montón de tiempo.

We shot at the university, this complicated us a bit since we could not interfere with class schedules in the spaces where we decided to shoot, this situation gave us a time limit and forced us to be as efficient as possible, doing our best to make the least amount of shots possible and thus optimize the maximum shooting time. Taking into account that we were only three people it was essential to have a shooting plan, so I worked out something very detailed and when we arrived we already knew clearly how and where to act, this saved us a lot of time.

A pesar de que fue un ejercicio que realizamos con bastante premura y poquísimos recurso, buscamos la forma de optimizar todo al máximo. Cuando empecé a escribir el guion técnico y pensé en la atmosfera que quería generar también surgieron muchas dudas de si eso que tenía en mente se vería bien en cámara, mi mayor objetivo era generar coherencia en cada plano, creo que estas dudas se van solucionando con la experiencia y aun me falta bastante por recorrer. Había que considerar por supuesto que no teníamos microfónica así que la historia debía contarse sin diálogos y para facilitar la edición evitar los foleys, esto fue un reto.

Although it was an exercise that we did with a lot of haste and very few resources, we looked for a way to optimize everything as much as possible. When I started writing the technical script and thought about the atmosphere I wanted to generate, there were also many doubts about whether what I had in mind would look good on camera, my main goal was to generate coherence in each shot, I think these doubts are being solved with experience and I still have a long way to go. Of course we had to consider that we didn't have a microphone so the story had to be told without dialogue and to make the editing easier we had to avoid foleys, this was a challenge.

Por otro lado decidí utilizar los colores azul y rojo en la iluminación, el color azul para separar al personaje del fondo y el color rojo como luz principal, pero como quería que este personaje tuviera cierto misticismo la posición de esta luz principal fue nadir para generar estas sombras duras en su rostro. En las escaleras nos apoyamos con la iluminación del propio espacio, luego en la puerta usamos el color rojo como luz principal, creo que tuvimos un buen resultado aunque hubo varios errores de continuidad con algunos objetos y la iluminación, definitivamente la labor del script es una cosa vital para cualquier historia, en este caso yo intente llevar la continuidad pero al estar pendiente de tantas cosas al mismo tiempo pase por alto varios detalles que terminaron siendo errores.

On the other hand I decided to use blue and red colors in the lighting, the blue color to separate the character from the background and the red color as the main light, but as I wanted this character to have some mysticism the position of this main light was nadir to generate these hard shadows on his face. In the stairs we used the lighting of the space itself, then in the door we used red as the main light, I think we had a good result although there were several continuity errors with some objects and lighting, definitely the work of the script is a vital thing for any story, in this case I tried to bring continuity but being aware of so many things at the same time I overlooked several details that ended up being mistakes.

Sinceramente creo que este es un ejercicio que puede desarrollare mucho mejor en todos los sentido, aunque, me siento conforme tomando en cuenta los recursos y el tiempo con el que contábamos, creo que me puedo animar a escribir un guion mejor estructurado para realizar un cortometraje partiendo de este ejercicio, por supuesto con toda la planificación que esto requiere. Sin más que agregar queridos amigos de hive y compañeros de la comunidad de Bellas Artes me despido de todos bastante feliz de haber compartido esta experiencia académica con ustedes, cualquier consejo u opinión acerca de este trabajo lo agradeceré de todo corazón.

I sincerely believe that this is an exercise that can be developed much better in every sense, although, I feel satisfied taking into account the resources and time we had, I think I can encourage me to write a better structured script to make a short film based on this exercise, of course with all the planning that this requires. Días antes Manaure me había comentado de esta pauta, una de sus compañeras y amiga de la danza se encuentra en su proceso de tesis, esta es una investigación que busca un equilibrio entre la danza tradicional y la contemporánea, mostrando que ambas aportan herramientas indispensables para el desarrollo de un bailarín, en esta oportunidad se está realizando un montaje que indaga y rescata elementos identitarios del venezolano, como lo es la manifestación de San Juan Bautista, tomando como referencia las apoteósicas celebraciones de la población de Chuao.

Days before Manaure had told me about this guideline, one of her colleagues and friend of the dance is in her thesis process, this is a research that seeks a balance between traditional and contemporary dance, showing that both provide essential tools for the development of a dancer, this time is making an assembly that investigates and rescues Venezuelan identity elements, as is the manifestation of San Juan Bautista, taking as reference the apotheosis celebrations of the population of Chuao.

El día de la pauta habían varios objetivos presentes, por un lado apoyar en el registro audiovisual de la clase para la tesis de nuestra compañera, Manaure me comento que estaría perfecto aprovechar esta investigación para elaborar contenido en la institución donde laboramos que es YVKE Mundial, lo que me pareció genial y apropiado, por otro lado todo esto se alineo perfectamente con una tarea que tengo para la universidad, la cual era un ejercicio de iluminación.

I must confess that the movement has never been my forte, I did not feel totally satisfied with the photographs, however here I also show you some that I did.

Saludos amigos de la comunidad de bellas artes, hoy les comparto con bastante emoción este post, ya que se trata de un acto cultural llevado a cabo en la escuela Vicente Emilio Sojo del km 7 del Junquito. Ayer 16 de enero tuve el placer de apoyar a mi padre Dionicio Carrasco, quien está activo como cultor desde hace poco en el gabinete de cultura de la parroquia El Junquito. Cuando me comentó que sería parte de esta actividad no dude en darle todo el apoyo posible, fui con él y estuve registrando el evento.

Greetings friends of the fine arts community, today I share with great emotion this post, as it is about a cultural event held at the Vicente Emilio Sojo school at km 7 of El Junquito. Yesterday, January 16, I had the pleasure of supporting my father Dionicio Carrasco, who has been active as a cultural worker since recently in the cultural office of the parish of El Junquito. When he told me that he would be part of this activity I did not hesitate to give him all possible support, I went with him and I was recording the event.

Esta actividad se realizó para homenajear a los maestros de esta institución, ya que el 15 de enero es el día del maestro a nivel nacional y no querían dejar pasar estas fechas sin resaltar su maravillosa labor. Tuve el gusto de conocer a una de las organizadoras culturales de la parroquia, quien se interesó bastante por nuestras actividades en Bellas Artes, tuvimos un diálogo bastante largo. Me agrada muchísimo haber generado este vínculo porque tenemos la posibilidad de conectar con otros espacios y tal vez en el futuro llevar todo este conocimiento de Hive hasta el Junquito.

This activity was held to pay tribute to the teachers of this institution, since January 15 is national teacher's day and they did not want to let these dates pass without highlighting their wonderful work. I had the pleasure of meeting one of the cultural organizers of the parish, who was very interested in our activities at Bellas Artes, we had a long dialogue. I am very pleased to have generated this link because we have the possibility of connecting with other spaces and perhaps in the future we can take all this knowledge of Hive to El Junquito.

Por otro lado, mi padre estuvo cantando varias canciones entre ellas “Tin Marin” del gran Ali Primera. Realmente me enorgullece bastante ver qué mi padre se está activando a nivel artístico de nuevo, ya que las ocupaciones en algún momento lo hicieron dejar un poco de lado su pasión por el canto y la música en general. Durante el desarrollo de la actividad los niños iban pasando de forma organizada a entregar sus cartas y detalles a la maestra de su grado, es increíble ver cómo está figura influye tanto en el desarrollo de los niños, todo el amor que desbordan por quien les enseña a diario.

On the other hand, my father was singing several songs including “Tin Marin” by the great Ali Primera. I am really proud to see that my father is becoming active on an artistic level again, since his occupations at some point made him leave a little aside his passion for singing and music in general. During the development of the activity the children were passing in an organized way to deliver their letters and details to the teacher of their grade, it is incredible to see how this figure influences so much in the development of children, all the love they overflow for those who teach them every day.

Por ahora ame despido queridos hivers, me complace compartir este tipo de eventualidades con ustedes por acá, espero que hayan podido disfrutar de este post, les envío un fuerte abrazo a la distancia.

Saludos querida comunidad de Bellas Artes les deseo un feliz comienzo de año, el día de hoy es un gusto para mí compartirles el tras cámara de un videoclip cover que se realizó en Guarenas por el equipo de Peinetas Producciones, miembros de la comunidad de Bellas Artes y @guarenasflow, para el artista @henryvargas, se trata de un cover de Ojitos Rojos de Grupo Frontera y Ke Personajes.

El video que les comparto no es más que la documentación de un día de rodaje de Peinetas Producciones, dónde se busca mostrar el proceso de organización y flujo de trabajo que existe en este gran equipo, y la serie de tareas que se ejecutan para lograr materializar obras tan bien hechas, cómo el proyecto de éste videoclip cover.

Este proyecto fue dirigido por @mundomanaure quien además estuvo haciendo cámara, cómo script o continuista @moisesjohan, en la producción @gpz96, en el catering @clily.love, en la iluminación y cámara también @Jorgetenzi. Yo estuve trabajando junto a Jorge en la iluminación y tuve la dicha de encargarme del tras cámara de este videoclip.

Para mí es un verdadero gusto trabajar con personas de las que aprendo a diario, estoy segura de que este nuevo año traerá buenos proyectos e investigaciones, que espero podamos desarrollar en equipo.

Greetings dear community of Bellas Artes I wish you a happy beginning of the year, today is a pleasure for me to share with you the behind the scenes of a video clip cover that was made in Guarenas by the team of Peinetas Producciones, members of the community of Bellas Artes and @guarenasflow, for the artist @henryvargas, it is a cover of Ojitos Rojos by Grupo Frontera and Ke Personajes.

The video that I share with you is nothing more than the documentation of a day of shooting of Peinetas Producciones, which seeks to show the process of organization and workflow that exists in this great team, and the series of tasks that are executed to achieve materialize works so well done, how the project of this video clip cover.

This project was directed by @mundomanaure who was also doing the camera, as script or continuist @moisesjohan, in the production @gpz96, in the catering @clily.love, in the lighting and camera also @Jorgetenzi. I was working with Jorge on the lighting and I had the joy of being in charge of the behind the scenes of this videoclip.

For me it is a real pleasure to work with people from whom I learn every day, I am sure that this new year will bring good projects and research, which I hope we can develop as a team.
