I started from the public Administration department and I was able to onboard 13 students. They were all able to create their accounts through keychain and checked in through the check in frontend. They also installed Ecency app and are enjoying Waves micro-blogging as they learn about Hive. Here are their first posts:

Is Hive ready for 18,000 potential adopters?

Dr Ogbonna Onu Polytechnic is one of the largest in Aba city. The institution which is my Alma Mata is home to more than 18,000 students. The school has many departments and schools.

Today, we kicked off their adoption with these students from Public Administration department. It's one of the largest departments in the school. From next week, we will onboard more students and there is going to be a special presentation for lecturers and other academic staff.

Very soon, we are creating a program to feature hive to the entire institution. With the staff and students, we are looking at around 20,000 persons getting to know hive and possibly joining. I hope we are ready for it

The question on our lips Is whether Hive is ready for one of the largest institutional adoptions? While we started with the students, this adoption is going to cut across professional and career educators in the institution like professors, heads of departments and schools, Deans and lecturers, and many other professionals.

500 Hive Face caps - branding plans and moving forward

We are planning to give Hive a big presence in this institution starting with a branded face cap project. I will try to arrange a presentation day and we can distribute 500 face caps to the first onboarded students and users. That would truly be massive. Many organizations and business come to this institution to create awareness for their brands. I believe with such a give away, there would be so students and others talking about Hive.

There are a lot of things planned and we are taking it one at a time. We will need the support of everyone that wants institutional adoption of Hive.

We care about this update because short content is the first place our onboarded newbies go. They start their Hive journey from their as they try it out. So with this new addition, there is so much to choose from when it comes to sharing short content on Hive.

As part of measuring results over time, the friends need to know how far they have done recently in powering up. Since many are asking, I decided to make this tutorial to show their power up history through Peakd.

The video above shows the 100 shopping bags that I branded with Hive logo and a good tagline. Each customer that buys at Happy Customer Supermarket walks away with this bag and a message of Hive freedom on the bag. Imagine 10 customers walking away with this nice marketing piece. That's another way to promote the Blockchain we love. I will share some images of the bags below too.

So Hive marketing should be our business everyone. On all regular items used or worn each day, we should be eager to showcase Hive on them. At Happy Customer Supermarket, we will be making more branded items for sale. This way, we help to sell Hive to the world. In your next shopping trip, be sure to collect your branded bag and show it off to the world.

The idea here is that customers wear this face cap to move around their daily activities. Wherever they go, onlookers have a chance of asking what Hive is. That way, we could get extra visibility - this is a way to leverage the connection if our customers.

So in the video above, you could see the 18 Face caps we have available now. It's the first supply which we brought to sample to our customers. Another batch of the printed face caps would soon be available. You rather watch out for it.

The shopper's came at different times, so we have a few other images of the branded T-shirts with some customers. Our goal is to make sure that every customer walking in has some sort of Hive branded gear either a T-shirt or Face cap, or other stuffs. The printery is still producing some of the stuffs.

In few days from new, we will show off face caps, branded shopping bags and other stuffs. We are also getting ready to do our August Hive meetup. It's going to be huge and engaging.

First stock arrives

So in this video, I share with us some of the first inventory we got in yesterday. Some cartons of Indomie noodles, spirits, Tomatoes past, Detergents, and a few other items were among the order received. Almost every two days we get in new inventory to support the sales. We are happy the business is located just 15 minutes away from the major suppliers. So we are close to the source our inventory handlers.

The picture above is the city warehouse of the biggest maker of noodles in Nigeria. Indomie noodles is almost the most popular food among young people. So we always make big sales or their noodles.

Other pictures below where taken of the inventory that arrived. These are all ready so that our customers would start making their purchases from tomorrow being Monday.

Our first organized Hive Classes and meetup

This month of August, we are going to organise SpemdHBD workshops/ Hive classes. The materials made by journey of a Hivean team would be very useful. That will enable students to learn at their pace and grow as fast as possible.

This month too, we will not fail to host our Hive meetup. We didn't do that in July. These are things we will definitely do. We appreciate all our customers and can't wait to grow more together. I wish us all a great month of August and eager to see you friends all together during our meetup.

Instead of having limits and punishments for cash transactions, SpendHBD introduced rewards for it. People thrive on rewards than on punishments. So dear friend, you need web3 and web3 needs you. If you have a brilliant business idea and you want to set up a new shop that accepts HBD, your startup could get fully funded by distriator.loans. If you are able to drive traffic and generate sales to repay your loan, then nothing stops you from becoming the next high-flying startup - not even capital.

I believe we could set up 100 web3 businesses that accept HBD within the next 6 months and get them fully funded. We could build a parallel business economy that rivals existing legacy payment systems. It starts with you taking a step to set up a new business and convert your existing business to one that drives the Web3 narrative. This is what we could do. I have taken the step, and hopes you will think in that direction too.

Customers are able to complete their HBD payment in few clicks inside Hive keychain wallet. I am yet to meet a new customer that struggled to learn it. Impressively, it takes less than 60 seconds to scan and pay with HBD.

In the video above, one of our latest customers @vitality1010 completes the scanning and paying with HBD in less than a minute. In this fast-paced world, speed is such a precious commodity and HBD payments are super fast!!!

The video above is just a 2 minutes view of what happens at Happy Customer Supermarket. The video shows me and others like @ngobaby and @beauty197 assisting the two newbies I signed up today. The newbies are @vitality1010 and @alexoj. One interesting thing here is that newbies like these have a place to sit, relax and learn something new. That is not what you do in your average groceries store.

The video shows one of the newbies @vitality1010 learning how to claim discounts and understand the discount levels. @ngobaby was on hand to take over from me and assist him while I record the video. The @beauty was helping @alexoj see how Ecency waves work and take a quick look at the communities. I helped @chalex1 understand her to set up her page profile.

In all, all three new friends are learning and exploring various aspects of paying with HBD, claiming discounts and exploring Hive. This is what happens everyday inside Happy Customer Supermarket. We hope to continue doing more everyday and eventually get to mass adoption.

This video above shows one of our newest customers @joyous112 onboarded yesterday. In less than 3 minutes, her account was created and imported to Keychain. Then it took 40 seconds to scan and pay and almost same time to claim discounts. She was happy to spend a total of 5 minutes or less to complete her shopping and payment.

When I tell new customers that everything could be done including account creation and shopping in 5 minutes, I am right. And they love it. This is a face-paced world, isn't it?
