Did my mind tell me to try painting for a while instead of doing it the usual outline-first way? I was actually trying to bring in some connections between this and the Silent Hark comic. I guess there are a lot of dots to create and join, and perhaps some unanswered questions.

Just dropped this for the April #AlienArtHivexNFTShowroom "Floral Fauna" contest 🌸

I kept rewriting this poem until it felt true. Then I had to draw her. Sped it up a bit so you can see her grow.

Floral Fauna - 5 editions minted
Roses are red, lilies are white but sometimes I wonder, "what can you say about me?"
‎My birth is from a tree but within my flesh is a heartbeat.
‎A life form within but it says I'm not one of the trees.
‎From my veins are branches and at the tip lies the beauty.
‎From my heart come the roots and on the outside is my flowery bloom.
‎A beautifully decorated pink creature I am but for what I am called for the month is a Floral Fauna

She’s tree-born but the forest won’t claim her. Watching the roots form from her heart was my favorite part to draw.

Sounds of footsteps echo in the background as a group of women run through the darkness. The terror in their eyes suggests they’re fleeing from something supernatural—perhaps a ghost, or something even more terrifying… like the organ reaper, “Gbadamosi.”

This page sets the tone for a darker turn in the story. I’ve decided to introduce a new villain—one who’s been deeply corrupted—and things are only going to intensify from here.

The action is just beginning. Stay tuned for what’s next!

I've been wondering for a while now on how to balance my comic life with schooling cos I'm also a computer eng. Student and according to the school calendar, were to start exams jan19. I might have to put something's on hold or maybe try to slow down a bit to create time for me to study.

Hello Alien artisans
Its been a while, I just had to sort out stuffs and get settled in my new environment here in Ekiti.
Its not as comfortable as home although it will get better with time. (I still have to familiarise with my 500level roommates; they're kinds cool but I just feel odd around them😩)
I have decided to start Posting my comics on global Comix [https://globalcomix.com/a/reeyor-comics] for convenience as now that I'm in school, I have no PC yet but can only rely on my phone for all process(used my brother's PC for posting and editing when I was still a home).
