This month, my son will have been training in this wonderful sport for nine months. The start of this stage has marked a turning point in our lives as parents. We are enjoying a wonderful time, accompanying our son to every training session, every sporting event, and every game.

Without a doubt, the changes have been positive, and although it is sometimes difficult to organize our time so that we can go together to watch him and support him from the stands, we have been there most of the time. Angel, his dad, with a shout or whistle of support, and me with my camera ready, trying to capture moments that will tell his sporting story in the future.

Angel loves soccer and keeps his own log in his head. He lists every achievement in his training sessions. So far, he has scored 40 goals, made 40 successful shots during practice, and, until a few days ago, scored zero goals in games with other teams.

But that changed last month when we experienced the thrill of cheering for a goal for the first time, my son's first goal. Even though it wasn't an official game, but rather a friendly match with another municipal team, it felt so good that I can't find the words to describe it.

Last Friday, at practically the same place, Angel scored another spectacular goal and this time the team won the championship. I am happy, not only because of my son's progress, but also because of the progress of the team in general. The under-6s have been improving steadily, the children are gaining confidence, their fears are fading away, and that's great.

There is still much to improve, learn, and correct, but these children's journey is just beginning. Over the past nine months, we have attended various matches, and it is impressive to see so many talented children. I hope they receive enough support so that they can grow in this comprehensive discipline.

Soccer has been a great opportunity for my son to grow in many ways. He is making friends, which makes him very happy. Everyone has been very welcoming to him, and the coaches are excellent professionals who not only motivate them to be good athletes but also to be good people.

Este mes mi hijo cumplirá 09 meses desde que comenzó a entrenar este maravilloso deporte. El inicio de esta etapa ha marcado un antes y un después en nuestra vida como padres. Estamos viviendo una etapa hermosa, acompañando a nuestro hijo a cada entrenamiento, a cada evento deportivo y a cada partido.

Sin duda, los cambios han sido positivos y aunque a veces es complicado organizar mejor nuestro tiempo para poder ir juntos a verlo y apoyarlos desde la grada, hemos estado ahí la mayoría de las veces. Angel su papá, con un grito o silbido de apoyo, y yo con mi cámara activada, intentando capturar momentos que cuenten en un futuro su historia deportiva.

Angel ama el fútbol y él lleva en su mente su propia bitácora. Cada logro en sus entrenamientos los tiene enumerados, hasta ahora ha contado 40 goles, 40 aciertos durante las prácticas y hasta hace unos días cero goles en los partidos con otros equipos.

Pero eso cambió el mes pasado, cuando nos dio por primera vez la emoción de gritar un gol, el primero de mi hijo, y aunque no era un partido oficial, sino un amistoso con otro equipo municipal, se sintió demasiado bien, tanto que no encuentro palabras para describirlo.

El viernes pasado, en el mismo lugar, prácticamente, Angel nos regaló otro golazo y esta vez el equipo salió campeón. Estoy feliz, no solo por el avance de mi hijo, sino por el avance del equipo en general. La sub-6 ha estado mejorando paulatinamente, los niños están ganando confianza, el miedo se está yendo y eso es genial.

Aún hay mucho por mejorar, por aprender y por corregir, pero el camino de estos niños apenas empieza, en estos nueve meses, hemos asistido a distintos encuentros y es impresionante ver tantos niños con talento, espero reciban el apoyo suficiente para que puedan crecer en esta disciplina tan integral.

El futbol ha sido una gran oportunidad para mi niño crecer en muchos sentidos, está haciendo amigos y eso lo tiene muy contento, todos han sido muy receptivos con él y los entrenadores son excelentes profesionales, que no solo los motivan para que sean buenos deportistas, sino para que sean buenas personas.

Espero que disfruten el video, dos goles que han llenado de felicidad, motivación y esperanza a mi pequeño, para seguir recorriendo, poco a poco y pasito a pasito, este camino deportivo.

Cuando pensé que la celebración del día de las madres había terminado, nos sorprenden en la escuela con una invitación para un acto especial en conmemoración a este día. La cita fue hoy, mi hijo estaba muy feliz y misterioso, no quería decirme que nos tenían preparado.

Al llegar a la escuela, las madres nos dirigimos a la cancha de la institución, mientras ellos se quedaron en su salón y bajaron al momento de iniciar el acto. Cada sección tenía una presentación preparada, algunos bailaron, otros recitaron poemas, todos los niños lo hicieron increíbles y tenían muy bien merecido cada aplauso.

La sección de mi niño y mi sobrina, recitaron un poema y cantaron una canción muy linda. El tema que eligieron es muy bonito, nunca lo había escuchado y me encantó.

También realizaron rifas con premios para las madres, esta vez no tuve suerte, pero el mejor de los premios, es tener la salud y la oportunidad de acompañar a mi hijo a sus actividades escolares.

Al terminar el acto en general, nos dirigimos al salón de clases, donde los niños y las profesoras nos sorprendieron gratamente. En el salón los niños entonaron la canción una vez más y recitaron un poema, donde cada niño decía una pequeña frase. Fue un momento muy ameno, de verdad que los niños estaban muy emocionados de hacernos este pequeño homenaje y las mamás, bueno, estábamos felices.

Nos obsequiaron un bello arreglo de globos y chocolates que las profesoras realizaron en complicidad con los papás o con algún familiar. La verdad es que lograron sorprendernos a todas y los niños guardaron el secreto muy bien.

Fue una mañana increíble y no podía dejar de compartirla con ustedes y por supuesto inmortalizar estos recuerdos maravillosos en mi blog.

Al llegar a casa, mi hijo volvió a cantarme la canción y qué bueno porque quería disfrutar más de ella.

When I thought that the celebration of Mother's Day was over, they surprised us at school with an invitation to a special event in commemoration of this day. The appointment was today, my son was very happy and mysterious, he did not want to tell me what they had prepared for us.

When we arrived at the school, we mothers went to the school's court, while they stayed in their classroom and went downstairs when the ceremony began. Each section had a presentation prepared, some danced, others recited poems, all the children did amazingly and had very well deserved every applause.

My boy's and my niece's section recited a poem and sang a very nice song. The theme they chose was very nice, I had never heard it before and I loved it.

They also held raffles with prizes for the mothers, this time I was not lucky, but the best prize is to have the health and the opportunity to accompany my son to his school activities.

At the end of the general act, we went to the classroom, where the children and the teachers surprised us pleasantly. In the classroom the children sang the song once again and recited a poem, with each child saying a short phrase. It was a very nice moment, the children were really excited to make this little tribute to us and the moms, well, we were happy.

They gave us a beautiful arrangement of balloons and chocolates that the teachers made in complicity with the parents or with a family member. The truth is that they managed to surprise us all and the children kept the secret very well.

It was an incredible morning and I couldn't help but share it with you and of course immortalize these wonderful memories in my blog.

When I got home, my son came back to sing the song to me and good thing because I wanted to enjoy it more.

You can imagine how a constructive mistake became a tourist landmark, no doubt that with ingenuity and creativity great things can be achieved. This is the case of the Casa Encanta de Juan el Molinero, an obligatory stop if you are touring the Andean páramo.

The enchanted house of Juan el Molinero is located in the town of Escagüey in the State of Mérida, in the middle of an incredible environment, surrounded by nature and colonial architecture, like the Museo del Trigo, which I wrote about some time ago.

La casa encantada de Juan el Molinero, está ubicada en el pueblo de Escagüey del Estado Mérida, en medio de un ambiente increíble, rodeado de naturaleza y arquitectura colonial, como el Museo del Trigo, del cual escribí hace un tiempo.

We went home happy for the experience. Angel was very excited, he had a lot of fun and it was all worth it.

Me emociona mucho ver el avance que ha tenido Angel en este nivel del preescolar, ya se ha iniciado en la lectoescritura y hasta ahora va muy bien. Poco a poco. Sin prisa, pero con mucha constancia y determinación para que dentro de poco comience a leer sus primeras palabras

Hasta este momento, Angel escribe su primer nombre y apellido y ya está a punto de escribir su nombre completo sin ver. Aún le cuesta escribir algunas letras y todavía no las reconoce todas. Pero gran parte del trabajo está hecho.

Hace poco tuvo su defensa del proyecto. Como cada trimestre, eligen un tema en el que se basarán para aplicar las distintas metodologías de enseñanza de una manera didáctica y divertida. Esta vez el nombre del proyecto es conociendo mi país y a la sección del niño le correspondió el estado Falcón.

He recently had his project defense. As every trimester, they choose a topic on which they will base themselves to apply the different teaching methodologies in a didactic and fun way. This time the name of the project is getting to know my country and the child's section was assigned the state of Falcón.

El estado Falcón es una región hermosa con una gran diversidad geográfica, una flora y fauna muy especiales. El método de evaluación del proyecto consistió en una exposición, para lo cual tenían que llevar su lámina como material de apoyo y una maqueta o pintura relacionada con el tema

El tema que desarrolló Angel fue la fauna. Nos gustó mucho este tema y todos aprendimos investigando. Fue un trabajo en equipo. Comencé la lámina realizando un collage.
Quienes siguen mi blog saben que me encantan los collages. En este collage intenté representar el mar y la playa, algo por lo que es muy conocido este estado junto a los imponentes médanos de Coro. Por otro lado, representé la zona montañosa y dejé una parte libre para el majestuoso cielo.

Mi esposo, por su parte, se encargó de dibujar los animales y mi hijo de escribir el nombre de cada uno y de colorearlos. Para esto yo escribí cada palabra en una hoja y él lo copió.

The state of Falcón is a beautiful region with a great geographic diversity and a very special flora and fauna. The method of evaluation of the project consisted of an exhibition, for which they had to bring their poster as support material and a model or painting related to the theme.

The theme that Angel developed was fauna. We liked this topic very much and we all learned by researching. It was a team effort. I started the poster by making a collage.
Those who follow my blog know that I love collages. In this collage I tried to represent the sea and the beach, something for which this state is well known, together with the imposing sand dunes of Coro. On the other hand, I represented the mountainous area and left a part free for the majestic sky.

My husband was in charge of drawing the animals and my son was in charge of writing the name of each one and coloring them. For this I wrote each word on a sheet of paper and he copied it.

Para el trabajo de la pintura, yo le realicé el dibujo y él lo coloreó. Realizar este trabajo fue una gran oportunidad para ver los avances de Angel y descubrir también sus debilidades para ayudarlo a mejorar.

Para la exposición practicamos en casa. Cuando llegó el día, comenzó muy bien, pero los nervios lo dominaron. Sin embargo, lo hizo increíble. Creo que si hubiese comenzado a realizar exposiciones desde los 3 años como hijo, no tendría tanto miedo escénico o al menos no tantos nervios al momento de expresarme ante el público.

For the exhibition we practiced at home. When the day came, he started out great, but nerves got the better of him. However, he did amazing. I think if I had started doing exhibitions since I was 3 years old as a son, I wouldn't have so much stage fright or at least not so many nerves when expressing myself in front of an audience.

Una de las cosas que mi hijo pidió en su carta de Navidad fue unas maracas y un tambor. A él le gusta mucho la música tradicional y la de aguinaldos, le llama bastante la atención. Mi sobrina Luisana le regaló un pequeño cuatro y mi hermano, después de ver la carta del niño decidió regalarles las maracas. Ahora solo le falta el tambor para tener todos los instrumentos que él deseo en su carta.

One of the things my son asked for in his Christmas letter was some maracas and a drum. He is very fond of traditional music and the aguinaldo music, it attracts his attention. My niece Luisana gave him a small cuatro and my brother, after seeing the boy's letter, decided to give him the maracas. Now he only needs the drum to have all the instruments he wanted in his letter.

Hace una semana nos invitaron a la paradura del Niño Jesús, en casa de un familiar, y él de inmediato me preguntó si podía llevar sus instrumentos. Mi respuesta fue un gran sí, porque es una excelente oportunidad de incentivarlo y de que se sienta parte de las tradiciones de la familia.

Cuando comenzaron a cantar, él se integró al grupo con el cuatro y mis sobrinos con las maracas, al rato el cambio de instrumentos. Los invitados estaban fascinados con los niños y los músicos los felicitaron porque ellos lo hicieron muy bien, tocaron a su manera, pero no interrumpieron para nada, al contrario, fue un momento muy especial. Además, lo tomaron en serio con la seriedad de cualquier músico.

A week ago we were invited to the birthing of the Child Jesus, at a relative's house, and he immediately asked me if he could bring his instruments. My answer was a big yes, because it is an excellent opportunity to encourage him and make him feel part of the family traditions.

When they began to sing, he joined the group with the cuatro and my nephews with the maracas, and after a while the instruments changed. The guests were fascinated with the children and the musicians congratulated them because they did it very well, they played in their own way, but they did not interrupt at all, on the contrary, it was a very special moment. Besides, they took it seriously with the seriousness of any musician.

Esta fue una experiencia fascinante para todos, pero para los niños fue algo mágico y enriquecedor. Ellos se sintieron parte de algo, se sintieron integrados y parte del grupo, sintieron el apoyo de todos y eso es fundamental.

A mi hijo, le encanta la música, nosotros los seguiremos apoyándolo sin forzar nada, al ritmo de él, que él decida cómo quiere disfrutar de esta pasión. Ahora, él quiere hacer lo mismo en casa, pero nosotros hacemos algo más sencillo, pero sin duda, buscaremos la forma de hacer algo para que él disfrute y comience a amar esta tradición.

La única manera de mantener una tradición por muchos años, es dejando que los niños empiecen a sentirse parte de ella.

This was a fascinating experience for everyone, but for the children it was something magical and enriching. They felt part of something, they felt integrated and part of the group, they felt the support of everyone and that is fundamental.

My son loves music, we will continue to support him without forcing anything, at his own pace, he can decide how he wants to enjoy this passion. Now, he wants to do the same at home, but we do something simpler, but without a doubt, we will find a way to do something for him to enjoy and begin to love this tradition.

The only way to keep a tradition going for many years is to let the children start to feel part of it.

La magia de la Navidad, inundó las calles de Mérida, en una noche donde el corazón de los niños se llenó de alegría e ilusión por conocer a sus personajes favoritos.

Hoy estoy feliz de compartir con ustedes nuestra experiencia en el primer desfile de Navidad que se realiza en Mérida, Venezuela. Un día mágico para Angel mi pequeño hijo de 05 años, a quien le gusta ver videos de desfiles y que soñaba con ir a uno. Aunque los desfiles de carnaval también le gustan bastante, un desfile de este tipo solo parecía un sueño.

Para mí también, fue especial, como madre, todo aquello que le saca una sonrisa a nuestros hijos y le hace bien, es gratificante, pero además de eso, dejar salir a esa niña interna, fue incluso sanador.

Today I am happy to share with you our experience in the first Christmas parade held in Merida, Venezuela. A magical day for Angel my little 05 year old son, who likes to watch parade videos and dreamed of going to one. Although he also likes carnival parades very much, a parade of this kind just seemed like a dream.

For me too, it was special, as a mother, everything that brings a smile to our children's faces and does them good, is gratifying, but besides that, letting out that inner child, was even healing.

Desde que me enteré de este evento, quería asistir, pero no quería ilusionar a mi hijo, porque sería de noche y como vivimos en otro Municipio, el transporte es limitado en horario nocturno, pero nos enteramos de que garantizarían transporte hasta tarde, para que la gente pudiese asistir tranquila, entonces sin pensarlo dos veces, invite a mis cuñadas para llevar a los niños.

Llegamos justo a tiempo a las 6 de la tarde, como decía la invitación, pero como suele suceder, hubo un retraso considerable, que hizo que los niños se impacientaran y nosotros, los adultos también. Es difícil, porque los niños estaban ansiosos, incluso se desanimaron y querían volver a casa. Menos mal, llevamos suficiente hidratación y algunos snacks para compartir y aligerar la espera.

Cerca de las 8 pm, comenzó y todo lo anterior pasó al olvido. La alegría volvió a cada uno de los niños, al ver la primera carroza. Una hermosa ratoncita acompañada de un tierno oso hizo la entrada a dos horas de magia y diversión.

Around 8 pm, it started and everything before was forgotten. The joy returned to each of the children when they saw the first float. A beautiful little mouse accompanied by a cute bear made the entrance to two hours of magic and fun.

También se presentaron varias bandas y grupos musicales regionales. Me encantó la carroza de violines, tocando la tradicional paradura que se realiza en enero. Gaitas y música alegre, para disfrutar en familia.

Angel estaba feliz de conocer a Flash y se entristeció porque no se detuvo. Pero disfrutó un montón y hasta ahora él cree que son reales, y ¿quién soy yo para decirle que no y quitarle esa ilusión, que solo es una muestra de la inocencia de los niños?

La maternidad me ha regalado hermosos momentos que me hacen sentir la alegría de ser niño por unos instantes. Amo compartir todo esto con mi hijo y mis sobrinos. Espero que ellos guarden estos recuerdos en su mente y en su corazón con mucha felicidad.

Una de las sorpresas del pasado año escolar, es que mi hijo fue seleccionado para ser miembro del Coro del jardín de infancia. Una sorpresa maravillosa que me llena de mucho orgullo y admiración por mi hijo de 04 años.

Angel desde pequeño ha manifestado su gusto por el arte y la música, pero nunca me imagine que formaría parte de una coral a tan corta edad y mucho menos de esta manera tan sorpresiva, para todos.

One of the surprises of the past school year is that my son was selected to be a member of the Kindergarten Choir. A wonderful surprise that fills me with great pride and admiration for my 04 year old son.

Angel since he was a child has shown his love for art and music, but I never imagined that he would be part of a choir at such a young age and much less in such a surprising way, for everyone.

Last year the choral seedbed was founded in the kindergarten. A music teacher was in charge of the selection, creating a choir composed of 32 children initially, of which 15 are the most active children.

One day I arrived in her classroom, and a teacher I didn't know was waiting for me to formally introduce myself, she said Angel has a great musical ear. It is very good to introduce him to the world of music and let him discover for himself whether he likes it or not.

Quede sorprendida, pero muy feliz, me encantó la idea, porque es una gran oportunidad para Angel de desarrollar nuevas facultades, socializar y bueno descubrir algo nuevo.

Practicaba tres veces a la semana dentro del horario de clases, la única desventaja es que debía interrumpir sus actividades en el salón e ir a ensayar con los demás niños.

En el video les muestro la primera presentación, el cual se dio en la Universidad Politécnica Kleber Ramírez, donde diferentes coros del Municipio se encontraron para dar un espectáculo musical grandioso.

Angel, estaba muy nervioso, comenzó el día desayunando pastelitos andinos, su desayuno favorito y después nos dirigimos a la universidad. No soltaba mi mano, había mucha gente. Ellos, por ser los más pequeños, cantaron primero. Es hermoso, porque su canto, es sencillo, sin técnicas, solo ellos haciendo algo que les sale de forma natural.

Al final, cuando todos los coros hicieron su presentación, se unieron en uno solo, para formar un gran coro musical. Aquí él se sintió muy nervioso al estar parado al lado de tanta gente, pero eso es lo bueno, estas experiencias los ayuda a ganar confianza.

Para despedir la actividad, la directora del coro, una buena amiga y vecina, dio un discurso muy bonito, el cual les comparto una parte, me gusto mucho, porque habla sobre los beneficios de ser parte de un coro, en la formación de los niños y por supuesto del valor de la música en nuestra vida. La música es alegría y mucho más.
