Era un perfecto mix entre rockstar y un intelectual. Quería hacer justamente una parodia del rock y de lo estúpido del ambiente. Una especie de Pomelo de Capusotto. Fui entrevistado al principio del video emulando un poco toda esa gama de descerebrados. Su grabación también costó mucho trabajo, era un sonido de un teclado físico, es decir no midi.

Lo grabamos por línea en la casa de Hernán y teníamos que coordinar horarios con ambos, dios bendiga los VSTS. Justo nos gustaba ese sonido de ese teclado puntual y bueno, que se le va a hacer. Dato curioso, varias de las guitarras soleadas están grabadas también con un sonido de teclado! No sé que andaría sucediendo. Debe ser que soy tan tecladista que ni guitarras meto con la guitarra propiamente dicha!

We filmed the video at a transitional shelter and at the house of an idol I contacted by phone named Andy Chango. The guy is better known for his irreverence and intelligence than for his music and is even better known for having won a tennis match against Eduardo Feinmann or having made fun of unenlightened people like Mauro Viale. Anyway, I wanted it in my clip.

He was a perfect mix between a rockstar and an intellectual. I wanted to make a parody of rock and the stupidity of the environment. A kind of Capusotto Grapefruit. I was interviewed at the beginning of the video, emulating a bit of that whole range of brainless people. Como si nada abre el paso a la era desprenderse de la grabación de bateristas reales. Hermosa era, hermosa. La practicidad hace al estilo. Creo que Divino se volvió más pop/ electropop/ dance principalmente por esta cuestión.

Hola Hiveros! Sigo aquí tratando de recapitular todas las anécdotas y caminos que derivaron en la concreción de los discos. "Descuidando a la niña" nace de un arpegio que tocaba Pablito en la guitarra criolla. A eso le puse melodía y le agregué un par de acordes para que tuviera un estribillo. Durante años lo que no entendimos es que en algún momento el tema tenía que bajar su intensidad, sino cansa.

Tal vez por ser chicos la euforia nos nublaba el desacelere. Esto fue visualizado obviamente por Agustín que lo que hizo simplemente fue quitar la batería en una parte y agregar un sonido ambiente. La cosa ya masomenos venía por ese lado porque en la intro gracias a una especie de accidente/experimentación de Hernán había quedado un loop que le daba una onda.

Además terminé metiendo sonidos de relámpagos en los estribos, todas estas cosillas van dando su toque. Algunas guitarras de Gutty quedaron. Lo empezamos con el y lo terminé con Agustín como fue el caso de muchos temas del disco.Es el único tema de ese disco que no tiene subido videoclip oficial. Solo puede escucharse con la foto de portada del disco o con una ilustración que hizo mi artista favorito @almargen.

Hello Hivers! I'm still here trying to recapitulate all the anecdotes and paths that led to the creation of the albums. "Neglecting the girl" comes from an arpeggio that Pablito played on the Creole guitar. I put a melody to that and added a couple of chords so that it had a chorus. For years, what we did not understand was that at some point the topic had to lower its intensity, otherwise it would get tiring.

Maybe because we were kids, the euphoria clouded our slowdown. This was obviously visualized by Agustín that what he did was simply remove the drums in one part and add an ambient sound. The thing was more or less coming from that side because in the intro, thanks to a kind of accident/experimentation by Hernán, there was a loop that gave it a vibe.

I also ended up adding lightning sounds in the running boards, all these little things add their touch. Some Gutty guitars remained. We started it with him and I finished it with Agustín, as was the case with many songs on the album. It is the only song on that album that does not have an official video clip uploaded. Este tema lo compuse pensando en mi abuela. Recuerdo que me largué a llorar al hacerlo, esto me habrá pasado con tres temas en total asi que eso ya lo pone en una categoría aparte. Se trata de seguir para adelante. Es una versión más poética de "Tirá para arriba" ponele. Lo maqueteamos por primera vez con mi amigo Gonza en un programa de audio no profesional llamado el Audacity.

Terminamos el tema en mi casa teniendo un día de inspiración en el que finalmente saldría la parte C cantando a dos voces el tema con una guitarra acústica. Caminaré fue grabado con el piano de Litto Nebbia en el mítico estudio Melopea. Se jactan de tener una consola bastante única en el mundo, que es cierto pero al piano le falta el marfil de ciertas teclas asi que la parte mítica muta rápidamente a la real.

Se escuchaba un ruido bastante molesto al tocar, como si fuese un golpeteo, todo eso obviamente fue más trabajo de edición. Herniman bautizó a este tema como el himno de la banda y yo en un programa de TV dije que era “el himno a la perseverancia.” La batería primero la grabó mi hermano! Es ese que se ve en el video! Súper chiquito y con súper ideas para lo rítmico.

Luego por un tema de la calidad del estudio reemplazaríamos el sonido del redoblante por otro creo que grabado en lo de Fer. Le pedimos a un Coro Gospel que grabara la armonía de la última parte, aunque a mi me gustaba más un pluggin que había puesto el Herniman. Luego quedó una fusión de ambas coas. Agus grabó Cellos. Anita Cámera, tecladista de Charly vino un día también a grabar unas teclas.

Por último, les hablo un poco de quien fue el dueño del estudio en el que grabamos este tema para sumar mística. Litto Nebbia es un músico, cantautor y productor argentino, nacido en 1948. Es conocido por su contribución al rock argentino, siendo uno de los pioneros del género. Nebbia ha tenido una carrera prolífica, participando en varias bandas y lanzando numerosos álbumes como solista. Su estilo abarca una amplia gama de influencias, desde el rock hasta el tango, y ha dejado una huella significativa en la escena musical de América Latina.

“EN-ES” History of recording (History of recording) Disk 1 - Track 8: Caminaré

I composed this song thinking about my grandmother. I remember that I burst into tears while doing it, this must have happened to me with three songs in total so that already puts it in a separate category. It's about moving forward. It is a more poetic version of "Tira up" ponele. We modeled it for the first time with my friend Gonza in a non-professional audio program called Audacity.

We finished the song at my house having a day of inspiration in which part C would finally come out singing the song in two voices with an acoustic guitar. Caminaré was recorded with Litto Nebbia's piano in the legendary Melopea studio. They boast of having a console that is quite unique in the world, which is true, but the piano lacks the ivory of certain keys so the mythical part quickly mutates into the real one.

“Se tiende a nacer” pedía a gritos un piano acústico. Ya después de múltiples experiencias lo que menos quería era grabar un piano en un estudio. Por suerte pudimos hacerlo en lo de Agustín microfoneándolo en su casa.

Divino Beats y su instrumento predilecto, un piano de cola

Lo hicimos tranquis y editamos lo que había que editar. Nada de andar pagando estudios caros y snobs por un maldito piano. Cabe remarcar que todo esto antes de la era en el que EZKEYS explotara en ciertos aspectos sonoros. Hoy en día ni loco grabaría un piano con mic, aguante el Midi. Tuvimos también que quitar muchas guitarras de Gutty que hablaban realmente de más.

Fue otro tema que durante años estuvo maqueteado sin parte C y que luego de llevarlo a lo de Agustín nos encontraría la magia con un hermoso Rhodes inspirador. Me encanta cuando nos agarra la inspiración que finaliza la cosa, es casi como hacer el tema de nuevo, más si tardó años en aparecer. Es maravilloso.

"One tends to be born" was screaming for an acoustic piano. After multiple experiences, the last thing I wanted was to record a piano in a studio. Luckily, we were able to do it at Agustín's place, using microphones to capture the essence.

We took it easy and edited what needed editing. No need to pay for expensive and snobby studios for a damn piano. It's worth noting that all this happened before the era in which EZKEYS excelled in certain sonic aspects. Nowadays, I wouldn't dare record a piano with a mic; MIDI all the way. We also had to remove many of Gutty's guitars that were really too talkative.

It was another track that had been demoed for years without a Part C, and after taking it to Agustín's place, we found magic with a beautiful and inspiring Rhodes. I love it when inspiration strikes and completes the piece; it's almost like creating the song anew, especially if it took years to appear. It's marvelous. La pantalla verde o croma se utiliza para poder cambiar luego el fondo o backround de lo que se filme. Viene generalmente en color verde o azul. Recuerdo que el tipo que editó este clip, un tal Fernando, fue el peor editor que tuve hasta la fecha. Un lumpen estudiante de cine insufrible, se creía Spielberg y este es el video por lejos más choto de todos! Lo que está muy bueno es el tema! Es un temaso.

Obviamente he tenido gran sentir bajo el efecto de sustancias, pero si tuviera que generalizar, estas realmente tienen más que ver con un sentimiento de euforia o un placer sintético que se confunde con una conexión real.
El momento es evidentemente real y aveces glorioso, pero las horas de paga siguientes y el contraste que generan en el instante de su finalización muestran una rápida nueva realidad que vacía y pone hasta en duda cualquier sentimiento previo.

Por ende no suelo hacer temas drogado, creo que “De tu nombre” es de los pocos que ha salido de esta forma. He tenido muchas noches locas en las que grabo algo directamente en mi celular o cosas asi pero canciones con Cannabis realmente debe ser de los únicos. Nos encontrábamos en la casa del batero de aquel momento llamado Martin Safi.

El y mi bajista, Pablito, vivían bajo los efectos de la marihuana. Me prendí ese día porque la verdad que si se trata de drogarse lo que menos me gusta es la Marihuana. Las drogas que me gustan son tan buenas que ya ni me las permito. Pero bueno, en fin, estando asi recuerdo empezar a balbucear una frase que era “y los recuerdos deeeeel bomber” que después buscando acomodarla terminaría por ser “y los recuerdos de tu nombre.”

Este lo produjo Gutty, yo quería al principio que las guitarras con Slides no estuvieran tan invasivas pero creo que luego me acostumbré. Sabía que quería trompetas en los estribos, cuerdas de Leo Minig a full. Lo masterizó Tweety para Youtube y cuando metimos todo en un mismo disco lo agarró Juli para ponerlo a tono. Tweety me felicitó por el tema. Me preguntó, no sé porqué tan asombrado: “Esto lo hiciste vos?! Te felicito”. I m Yanni motherfuckers, por supuesto que lo hice Tweet!

El video clip lo filmamos en el living de mis padres y lo editó un tipo llamado Chipi, es lo que es, éramos chiquitos, pusimos unas lámparas y armamos todo medio como se podía. El batero que se visualiza es Fer Cornejo, gran baterista y el guitarrista Gonzalo Perez Leiros.

I believe that great emotions come from great thoughts. I would say these find me almost always sober. Obviously I've had great feelings under the influence of substances, but if I had to generalize, they really have more to do with a feeling of euphoria or a synthetic pleasure that is confused with a real connection. Many wild nights involved recording something directly on my phone, but songs with cannabis must truly be among the exceptions. We were at the house of the drummer at that time, named Martin Safi.

He and my bassist, Pablito, were intoxicated. I got high that day because, to be honest, when it comes to getting high, marijuana is my least favorite. The drugs I enjoy are so good that I no longer allow myself to indulge. Anyway, being in that state, I remember starting to mumble a phrase that was "y los recuerdos deeeeel bomber," which would later be adjusted to become "y los recuerdos de tu nombre."

Gutty produced this one; initially, I wanted the slide guitars to be less invasive, but I think I got used to it later. I knew I wanted trumpets in the choruses, Leo Minig's strings in full force. Tweety mastered it for YouTube, and when we put everything on the same album, Juli fine-tuned it. Tweety congratulated me on the track. He asked, seemingly astonished: "Did you make this?! Congratulations." I'm Yanni, motherfuckers, of course, I did, Tweet!

Hola Hiveros!! Sigo aquí contando la historia de cada una de estas canciones para llegar a su materialización! “El camino” se grabó en el estudio de un tal Martín que conocía mi productor de ese momento, Gutty. Recuerdo también que citamos a Leo Minig, concertista del colón para grabar unas cuerdas en otro estudio, el de Patricio Baumann y en la parte final me agarró una súper archimega inspiración y le tararee en el acto el arreglo final de violines.

Por suerte Leo es una mente rápida y pudo tocarlo al instante. Lo lindo que tiene también “El camino” es que su videoclip recorre el mundo.

Debo confesar que aunque parezca no estuve en todos los lugares que muestra el clip! Es solo un poco la obra de magia del cine.

Viajando en avión por algún lugar del 🌍

La mayor parte la filmé en un viaje que tuve la suerte de hacer con mi madre dado a que mi padre no pudo acompañarla. Fui la suplencia perfecta!

En aquel bello viaje estuve más que nada en lugares de Europa, las partes más trucadas son las de Asia y África, continentes que me gustaría conocer más a fondo si la moneda de mi país valiese aunque sea algo! Jajaj

Como curiosidad, en lo que respecta a su composición musical hice el verso en el piano y el estribillo de vacaciones con la guitarra! Luego uní las dos partes y quedó perfecta!

Hello Hivers!! I'm still here telling the story of each of these songs to reach their materialization!
"The path" was recorded in the studio of a guy named Martín, who knew Gutty. I also recall that we called Leo Minig, a concert performer from the Colón Theater, to record some strings in another studio, Patricio Baumann's. In the final part, I was struck by a super mega inspiration, and I hummed the arrangement on the spot.

Luckily, Leo is a quick mind and was able to play it instantly. What's also beautiful about "The Path" is that its music video travels the world.

I must confess that, although it may seem otherwise, I wasn't in all the places shown in the video! It's just a bit of movie magic.

Much of it was filmed during a trip I was fortunate to take with my mother because my father couldn't accompany her. I was the perfect stand-in!

On that beautiful trip, I was mainly in European locations; the more manipulated parts are those of Asia and Africa, continents I would like to explore more deeply if my country's currency were worth even a little! Haha.

As a curiosity, regarding its musical composition, I crafted the verse on the piano and the chorus during vacation with the guitar! Later, I combined the two parts, and it turned out perfect!
