Hola que tal amigos, espero que se encuentren muy bien, estos dias he estado elaborando por primera vez un blazer y debo decir que ha sido todo un gusto pero tambien un reto! Pero gracias a Dios todo salió bien y me gustó el resultado de este.

EL blazer posee un corte princesa en su estructura frontal y esta totalmente forrado en su interior!

Patterns - Patrones

The main thing to make a good blazer is to have a good pattern so lines are an important part of our design process. I must say that I usually take the patterns from the garment itself, for example if I want to make a jean, I take the shape of a jean I have already made, but this time I had to start from scratch.

Lo principal para hacer un buen blazer es tener un buen patron asi que las lineas forman parte importante de nuestro proceso de diseño. Debo decir que generalmente los patrones los tomo de la misma prenda en si, por ejemplo si quiero hacer un jean, tomo la forma de un jean que ya haya realizado, pero esta vez tuve que partir desde cero.

Cut - Corte

Then I cut out the pieces by cutting them, taking the guide mould from the patterns, as you can see I cut out both the outer pieces and the inner pieces that correspond to the lining of the piece.

Luego saqué obtuve las piezas a través del corte de estas, tomando el molde guia de los patrones, como pueden ver saqué tanto las piezas del exterior como las piezas internas que corresponden al forro de la pieza.

Sewing - Costura

Joining the pieces together, first I sew the two pieces separately, i.e. the outer fabric pieces and then the lining pieces, then we place them face to face and sew them together.

Uniendo las piezas, primero coso ambas piezas por separado es decir las piezas de la tela exterior y luego la de las piezas del forro, luego colocamos cara con cara ambas y cosemos.

What I really struggled with was the hem of the blazer, but for my first bleazer I'm happy and proud of the result!

Hello Hive family. Recycling is a process that helps us to take care of the environment and allows us to create new things and ecological projects that can be useful in our lives. For example, I particularly needed a sewing mannequin to make it easier to work with fabrics, so using recyclable materials and some elements that we can get at home I made my own mannequin.

Hola que tal familia de Hive. Reciclar es un proceso que nos ayuda a cuidar el ambiente y que nos permite poder crear nuevas cosas y proyectos ecologicos que pueden ser utiles en nuestras vida. Por ejemplo, particularmente necesitaba un maniquí de costura para trabajar de una manera más facil al momento de utilizar las telas, asi que utilizando materiales reciclables y algunos elementos que podemos conseguir en casa me armé mi propio maniquí.

Paso a Paso

With the Envoplast paper we cover the chest area, the neck and the lower part of the waist. Then we use adhesive tape to cover the envoplast paper area. Then we make an opening in the back, right in the middle of the back. When we remove it, we glue this opening with the help of the tape.

Con el papel Envoplast debemos cubrir la zona del pecho, el cuello y la parte baja de la cintura. Luego utilizamos cinta adhesiva para cubrir la zona del papel envoplast. Luego hacemos una abertura en la parte trasera, justo en la zona media de la espalda. Al retirar debemos pegar esta abertura con la ayuda de la cinta.

Then we stuffed with the help of scraps of fabric, I also reused two cups from a bra to tape them to the chest area of the mannequin.

Then I made a base with cardboard and a cardboard roll and covered these with the help of masking tape. Next we covered the mannequin area with ribbons from magazines using white glue.

Luego hice una base con carton y un rollo de carton y cubrí estos con la ayuda de cinta adhesiva. Seguidamente debemos cubrir la zona del maniquí con cintas de revistas utilizando pegamento blanco.

Step by step - Paso a paso

From a 50“ X 60” rectangular base we start by folding the fabric into two equal halves. Then fold again. Then from the vertex that joins the fabrics we form a triangle.

Cuando usamos nuestras máquinas de coser la correa o la banda tiende a romperse o estirarse, esto debido a las fuerzas de fricción, torsión y a la fuerza de trabajo con la que están sometidos estos elementos.

Es por eso que el día de hoy quiero explicarles una forma básica de como se cambian estas correas.

Necesitaremos una banda siempre evaluando que esta sea del modelo de nuestra máquina de coser. Y también un destornillador.

Paso a Paso

Iniciamos sacando el tornillo de la ranura de la base del motor que esta acoplado a la base del pie de la máquina de coser. Desajustes y sacamos el tornillo para que nos permita mover cómodamente el motor.

Luego insertamos la correa o banda en la ranura de la polea, también nos podemos ayudar del destornillador de pala para llevar esta a la ranura de la polea.

Luego movemos el motor e insertamos la correa en el eje de la ranura del motor.

Seguidamente hacemos coincidir la base o la carcasa del motor con la base del pie de la máquina de coser y con el destornillador ajustamos el tornillo.

Una vez que esté este fijado y bien ajustado, podemos utilizar la maquina de coser satisfactoriamente.

Que tal amigos? Espero se encuentren muy bien. Cuando nos iniciamos en el.mundo de la costura muchas veces no sabemos por donde iniciar, lo sé por experiencia propia.

Una de las limitantes que surgen al momento de coser es la confianza al manejar la misma. Esta habilidad se va desarrollando poco a poco, pero podemos mejorar mucho si practicamos todos los días.

Hoy también quiero regalarles una de las herramientas que utilicé para mejorar en el arte de la costura. Son ejercicios motrices para desarrollar nuestra capacidad de hacer puntadas firmes en la tela.

Solo que esta vez no utilizaremos tela sino que utilizaremos hojas.

Debemos utilizar la maquina sin hilo, solo necesitaremos insertar la Aguja en la maquina y hacer la puntadas.

Líneas Rectas

Nos permite tener mayor pulso al momento de coser, es la línea básica para aprender a mejorar nuestra destreza al coser.

Línea en zigzag

Aplicamos luego un poco de dificultad a los ejercicios agregando las líneas en zigzag, estas líneas no permiten mejorar nuestra capacidad de manejo en la tela para los cambios de ángulos que realizamos al momento de coser.

Líneas de Laberinto

También nos permite trabajar con ángulos abiertos y cerrados además de mejorar la destreza al momento de girar la prenda.

Espiral

Las líneas en forma de espiral son muy importantes para el manejo de la máquina, nos permite mayor agilidad en el movimiento.
