"Amor de Soborno" (Love of Bribery) is a song that was born in my adolescence, within the family nucleus, gestated in those complex dynamics that sometimes inhabit the space between parents and children.

Como todos los padres, mi papá estaba tratando de cuidarme a través de lo que él creía que era bueno para mí, con la mejor de las intenciones.

Like all parents, my father was trying to take care of me through what he believed was good for me, with the best of intentions.

Obviamente, en ese proceso proyectaba sus propios miedos y creencias sobre los procederes de mi vida, esperando que yo siguiera el camino que él consideraba seguro.

Obviously, in that process he projected his own fears and beliefs onto the proceedings of my life, hoping I would follow the path he considered safe.

Por ello creé esta canción, como una forma de expresar esa tensión entre el amor genuino y la presión por cumplir expectativas ajenas.

That's why I created this song, as a way to express that tension between genuine love and the pressure to meet others' expectations.

Cuando la vuelvo a escuchar esta vez, habiéndome alejado ya de mi casa durante estos nueve años, de verdad pienso que es una canción fantástica.

When I listen to it again this time, having been away from my home for these nine years, I truly think it's a fantastic song.

Pero también me doy cuenta de que en este momento de mi vida ya no se aplica a mi padre, sino que su mensaje ha evolucionado hacia un significado más amplio.

Debo confesarles honestamente que no soy el mayor fanático de esta banda, pues mis gustos personales se inclinan más hacia lo que Maná estaba haciendo en su época, con esas fusiones entre ritmos latinos y rock que tanto me atraen.

I must honestly confess that I'm not the biggest fan of this band, as my personal tastes lean more toward what Maná was doing in their time, with those fusions between Latin rhythms and rock that I find so appealing.

Sin embargo, al escuchar más repetidamente a Soda Stereo, he podido descubrir y apreciar el gusto que ha cautivado a tantos amantes del rock hispano. Su música tiene una calidad que trasciende las preferencias personales.

However, by listening to Soda Stereo more repeatedly, I've been able to discover and appreciate the appeal that has captivated so many Hispanic rock lovers. Their music has a quality that transcends personal preferences.

Esta canción en particular me sorprendió gratamente con su modulación armónica dentro de la estructura musical, un elemento que despertó mi interés analítico y me hizo afinar mi oído musical.

This particular song pleasantly surprised me with its harmonic modulation within the musical structure, an element that awakened my analytical interest and made me sharpen my musical ear.

Al final, me decidí por la fantástica canción "Perfect" de Ed Sheeran. Esta canción, dentro de su propia letra, menciona que cuando eran niños se encontraron enamorados el uno del otro.

Por eso pensé que funcionaba perfectamente para esta temática de amor a primera vista. Además, recuerdo que es una canción muy romántica que habla no solo del principio del amor, sino de permanecer juntos hasta el final.
