Es divertido cuando se nos da un punto de partida y se deja a la mente volar. Cada escritor es un mundo y las maneras en que vemos las diferentes posibilidades de un texto... ¡es impresionante cuántas posibilidades se puede mostrar!

Por mi parte decidí tomar este inicio:

"Doña Diabla vió una cruz y murió de un patatús."

En el estado número 2; me pareció una frase bastante peculiar y retadora.

Hace dos días, hice la publicación con la intención de participar pero dejé el borrador escrito y el teléfono a la mano de mi pequeño, por aquellas extrañas cosas del destino, él publicó lo que tenía en la pantalla.

Para mí pesar lo hizo en mi blog, sin ser dentro de las comunidades para participar.

En un primer momento, me desmoroné porque sentí que todo el esfuerzo se fue a la basura. No quise ni promocionar el post hasta que no saber cómo solucionarlo.

Y se me ocurrió que podía hacer la versión video-poética de la publicación. No quería hacer un VIDEO ART como acostumbro cuando me encanta la imagen que hago para la portada, porque la poesía quedaría desvirtuada.

Cómo esta opción, cualquier rector puede simplemente cerrar los ojos y dejarse llevar por mi creación, o aprovechar de seguir las imágenes que con tanto esfuerzo tuve que improvisar para darle sentido a la historia y a la razón de ser de este video.

My first step was to take the "paint can" with the color black and apply it to an empty layer. The theme of the monster is that it is composed of rock and lava, for this reason, the earth would be the perfect complement for background. So I thought about making the background with those colors (brown, terracotta and beige) so that the drawing of the monster could stand out. With the "watercolor" brush and using those three colors in different layers. Then with the "smudge" tool, I mixed one color a little with the other to obtain an earthy effect.

Lo primero que realicé fue tomar el "bote de pintura" con el color negro para trabajar sobre este. Quise hacer el fondo con colores tierra para que pudiera resaltar el dibujo del monstruo, también porque la temática del dibujo base es que está compuesto de roca y lava, por tal motivo, la tierra sería el complemento perfecto para el fondo. Para hacerlo primero tomé el pincel "acuarela", utilizando tres colores (marrón, terracota y beige). Luego con la herramienta "difuminar", fui mezclando un poco un color con el otro.

Additionally, to give a more polished touch to the drawing, I made several additional details such as painting the lava cracks yellow with the "strong ink" brush. At the same time, I noticed that I had turned out quite reddish for the original color of the monster and I took the airbrush with an orange tone and applied it over the entire silhouette. After working in some details, this is the final art:

Adicionalmente para darle un toque más pulido al dibujo, realicé varios detalles adicionales como pintar de amarillo las grietas de lava con el pincel "tinta fuerte". A su vez, noté que me había quedado bastante rojizo para el color original del monstruo y tomé el aerógrafo con un tono de naranja y lo apliqué sobre toda la silueta. Ahora sí me siento satisfecha con el resultado y les muestro cómo quedó:

Cuando la intención es hacer un detalle especial pero el tiempo no es para nada extenso, entonces siempre hay una manera de hacerlo suceder.

This hot weather and the austere start to the year has been a challenge that has forced people to be creative and make details that are valued for their intention more than for their economic value. I had a start to the year with a lot of migraines and so many problems to solve, but it was my sister's birthday and I didn't have anything physical to give her, so she decided to choose to make her an avatar, although there was another problem... Just me!! There were about 4 hours left to do it! I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist and I knew that that time would not be enough if I tried to make the design from scratch, so I came up with a practical idea that would help any novice to make an avatar quickly. This is how this fast art was born 😉

Este clima caluroso y el inicio de año austero, ha sido un reto que ha obligado a las personas a ser creativas y hacer detalles que se valoren por la intención más de por lo que sea su valor económico. Yo he tenido un inicio de año con mucha migraña y tantos inconvenientes a solucionar, pero era el cumpleaños de mi hermana y no tenía nada físico que regalarle, así que decidí optar por hacerle un avatar, aunque había otro problema... ¡Solo me quedaban unas 4 horas para hacerlo! Tiendo a ser un tanto perfeccionista y sabía que ese tiempo no alcanzaría si pretendía realizarlo de cero el diseño, así que se me ocurrió una idea práctica que le serviría a cualquier novato para realizar un avatar rápidamente. Es así como nació este arte rápido 😉

So I used my sister's photo to be able to make a very quick avatar - but as I said before - time was very short. So it occurred to me that it might be a good idea to remove the background from the photo so as not to have so much distraction from the main image.

Así usé la foto de mi hermana para poder hacer un muy rápido avatar -pero como lo dije antes-, el tiempo era muy corto. Busqué una foto de ella y eliminé el fondo para no tener líneas distractoras.

With the strong ink brush, I had the opportunity to add a new layer and there highlight the most important lines of the photo, giving the drawing the most important features. But there was no need to highlight the hair line by line, so I took the ibispaint "dark hair" brush and marked some strands in black. I continued adding strands of hair in dark brown colors in a layer before the one I was using so that the black would be superimposed and then in an ocher tone - because that's more or less how my sister's hair is. Then I simply added a flesh-colored background with the marker brush and with the airbrush using dark brown reviewed the shadows.

Con el pincel tinta fuerte, tuve la oportunidad de añadir una nueva capa y allí remarcar las líneas más importantes de la foto, dando al dibujo los rasgos más importantes. Pero no hacía falta remarcar el cabello línea por línea, por eso tome el pincel "cabello oscuro" de ibispaint y marqué algunos mechones en negro. Seguí añadiendo mechones de cabello en colores marrones oscuros en una capa anterior a la que estaba usando para que el negro quedará sobrepuesto y luego en un tono ocre -porque mi hermana así tiene más o menos el cabello. Luego simplemente añadí en fondo de color carne con el pincel rotulador y con el aerógrafo usando marrón oscuro le revisé las sombras.

Sometimes, when we see a monster, we imagine that much more is happening inside it. Little by little, we are creating in our minds a visual image much more interesting than anything we could have seen in what has already been done. Trying to make that intention similar to what is now drawn with my own version of it, I imagine that it must at least be interesting. This is the card used with inspiration to you art:

A veces, a ver un monstruo nos imaginamos que sucede mucho más dentro de él. Poco a poco, vamos creando nuestras mentes una imagen visual mucho más interesante que cualquiera que hubiésemos podido ver en lo ya ha hecho. Intentando que sea semejante esa intención a lo que ahora se dibuja con mi propia versión de esta, imagino que al menos interesante debe resultar. Está es la carta original:

On a blank canvas I used the grid point brush to draw squares of the same spacing and size, in black.

En un lienzo en blanco utilicé el pincel de punto de rejilla para trazar cuadros de una misma separación y tamaño, en color negro.

The tool on the right that looks like a four-headed arrow, is the move or transform tool and I decided to activate it so I can easily convert these boxes into rectangles.

La herramienta de la derecha que parece una flecha de cuatro puntas, es la herramienta de mover O transformar y decidí activarla para poder convertir estos cuadros en rectángulos fácilmente.

In the option that indicates "perspective format" it allows me to take the middle value and arrange it until I obtain the rectangles I needed.

En la opción que indica "formato de perspectiva" me permite tomar el valor del medio y al arreglo hasta obtener los rectángulos que necesitaba.

I had to repeat the process as many times as necessary to fill the entire space of the canvas.

Tuve que repetir el proceso tantas veces como fuera necesario para completar todo el espacio del lienzo.

Este 4 de febrero todo estuvo extraño, me enteré por un programa de radio que era el día del cáncer y decidí que debía grabar un vídeo.

A decir verdad todo fue muy express, aproveché un rato en el que mi hijo menor se quedó jugando unos minutos con su abuela y corrí al cuarto para poner el celu apoyado en mi cama y me senté en el borde de la cuna de él, pero algo cómico pasó 😅

Resulta que me caí hacia atrás y terminé en una muy buena posición frente a la cámara -es un accidente afortunado jijiji-, solo que ahora yo estaba con la mitad del cuerpo dentro de la cuna.

¡Así que ese fue el inicio del vídeo!

UN BAÚL POR ABRIR

Ahora yo comencé por explicar que esto no sería un recuento científico o realizado por algún profesional en periodismo. Solo es DarkFemme hablando de su opinión y dando una que otra anécdota aleccionadora.

Luego dejé a mi yo parlanchín manejar la situación y les conté una historia donde delaté cuan vieja soy yo XD

LECCIÓN DE UNA CORTA PARTIDA

Así pues, me sentí con la necesidad de contarles una historia más personal... la historia de mi familia con el cáncer. Siendo como aquel factor más impredecible que cambia todas las percepciones de la vida que se atan a la muerte.

Les juro que en esta parte me sentí como en un confesionario, como si estuviera en una íntima charla con mi mejor amigo.

A veces un regalo es difícil de decidir, pero existen soluciones.

A few days ago, I found out in the morning that it was the birthday of a person very dear to me and wanted to give him a gift but I didn't have the money, so said no was an excuses because I could make her a gift avatar, something knew she didn't have. I found out so short in advance that I thought of a quick way to make the avatar and decided to look for a profile picture that she loves. Below I show you how to do it step by step.

En esta oportunidad se presentó el cumpleaños de una persona que me apoya en algunas ocasiones y me pareció un buen detalle regalarle algo, pero no tenía dinero, así que decidí utilizar mi talento y hacer un avatar para ella... Solo que veo un detalle: ¡me enteré en la mañana de ese mismo día! Así que no había tiempo que perder y se me ocurrió utilizar una foto de ella y simplemente remarcar las líneas y rellenar con los mismos colores la imagen, aplicando uno que otro estilo para darle un buen aspecto al trabajo final y ahora les mostraré el proceso.

With the circular ruler I traced the border that would delimit the circle of the avatar space. My intention was applied somes tone of blues, similar to the sky, with "aerographer" with an tone more darkness every time.

Con la regla circular tracé el borde que delimitaría el círculo del logo. Con el bote de pintura apliqué un fondo azul y con el aerógrafo apliqué otro tono azul de más oscuridad para poder tener un degradé que simulará el cielo. Este proceso lo revise nuevamente para aplicar más oscuridad a la parte de abajo con un tono más oscuro que el anterior. Con el pincel brillo de estrella, apliqué algunas de estas hermosas formas en el fondo... ¡y listo!

ELABORANDO UN AVATAR EXPRESS

I take the Eraser and clean the background. With the circle line in the border in My Ibispaint File, I apply the same skin colors with tool "aerographer 40%" and did a texture more balanced. Apply more color to the lips and painting line per line with de "ink hard" in the hair.

Ahora debía borrar el fondo de la imagen de la foto de perfil para poder trabajar con ella más limpiamente. Considerando el círculo quedó atrasado para delimitar el avatar, tuve que adecuar de ahora en adelante mis trazos a ese espacio permitido o utilizable. Decidí usar el aerógrafo al 40% para poder aplicar un tono más equilibrado en la piel. El siguiente paso fue tomar el pincel de "tinta fuerte" para hacer los trazos de las líneas del rostro.

With "ink hard" again, but using different terrenal colors (Brown, Violet, Bronze and similar), i drew the strokes hair by hair, in different layers to be able to give it different shades and superimpose it.

Procedí a realizar los trazos pelo a pelo de los cabellos, en diferentes capas para poder darle distintas tonalidades y superponerlo. Para ello, intenté usar tonos de colores en la gama "tierra", que comprende los colores marrones.

Esta vez realizaré un logo para una iniciativa de #HiveArt y @holos-lotus, aunque no se preocupen que estoy clara en que no ganaré porque estoy súper fuera de tiempo. Al principio pensé que el post promocional estaba errado porque no es algo común que me pidan hacer logos para encuentros, incluso he asistido a varios eventos de esta comunidad y siempre han utilizado la misma etiqueta con el logo de ellos para los nombres. Incluso, he pensado en hacer una pancarta para el evento, pero luego me convencí de intentarlo.

With the circular ruler I traced the border that would delimit the circle of the logo. Then use the "symmetry ruler" tool to repeat each segment on the other three sides of the central drawing. My intention was to make a silhouette that looked like a person and the four drawings are holding hands in the center of the design to represent the connectivity between the world and humans with each other, how energy connects us.

Con la regla circular tracé el borde que delimitaría el círculo del logo. Luego usé la herramienta "regla de simetría" para que se repitiera cada segmento en los otros tres lados del dibujo central. Mi intención fue hacer una silueta que pareciera semejante a una persona y los cuatro dibujos se estarían tomando de la mano en el centro del diseño para representar la conectividad entre el mundo y los humanos entre sí, cómo la energía nos conecta.

Para mí lo peor es que los hijos crecen muy rápido y si nos descuidamos tan solo un poco puede que no disfrutemos de su etapa tan linda que es la niña o de esa conflictiva relación de la adolescencia. Porque ya en la adultez nos tocará soltarlos para que vuelen solos. También lo malo es que se nos lanza a la maternidad sin tener la más remota idea de cómo hacerlo bien, no hay días exactos más que los ejemplos y uno que otro coherente autor, pero como cada hijo tiene una persona distinta así existe una manera distinta de criarlos.

It is also normal that you have to play the bad guy by teaching order and responsibilities, but you must always be balanced and demand as much as you give. Finally, this section could not miss the ridiculousness to which we are totally exposed when we become sensitive to the smallest gestures in their children: a drawing that looks more like a doodle than a drawing or an act where he only said "hello "And we consider him the best actor, we applaud without pause and sometimes we went with that performance so stable as to embarrass them with our pride in being their parents.

Esta sesión me resulta un tanto cómica porque encontrar algo normal en la maternidad me resultó un poco complejo. Luego de pensarlo un poco recordé que lo más normal en la maternidad es que no puedas predecir nada. Debes escoger tres mudas de ropa en prevención ante cualquier ataque de la comida de tus hijos o del lodo del patio que mágicamente llega con forma de mano a tu pantalón. También lo normal es que tengas que hacer la mala de la película al enseñar orden y responsabilidades, pero siempre se debe ser equilibrado y exigir tanto como se da. Por último, no podía faltar en esta sección la ridiculez a la que nos vemos totalmente expuestos cuando nos volvemos sensibles ante los gestos más pequeños en sus hijos: un dibujo que tiene más aspecto de garabato que de dibujo o un acto donde solo dijo "hola" y lo consideramos el mejor actor, aplaudimos sin pausa y a veces fuimos con aquella función tan desde estable de avergonzarlos con nuestro orgullo de ser sus padres.

The great thing is good, this is all worth it, however it turns out, everything is worth it, every laugh filling the heart, every achievement of theirs we understand as our achievements. Lo genial vente bueno este todo esto vale la pena, resulte como resulte todo pues vale la pena, cada risa llenando el corazón, cada logro de ellos lo entendemos como nuestros logros. También desarrollamos superpoderes para protegernos del mundo, para hacerlos volar, para hacerlos más rápido o para aprender aquello que la maestra les explicó como a un chino. Gracias a la maternidad somos mejores personas, siempre al evaluar el antes y el después podemos ver lo mucho que hemos crecido.

When I read about the possibility of participating for the first time in a #HiveArt contest... I was excited! Being @holos-lotus part of this proposal, everything was a challenge. I said to myself... art therapy? Well, everything is possible in art. At first I thought of making a mural in my room, raving on my wall while listening to relaxing music. It would be interesting to record that video! But an unforeseen event occurred where the health of a relative was put at risk, because Accidents don't ask for permission or are announced in advance. I had this art ready in time for the initiative but when ran to the hospital couldn't publish it on time, I still wanted to share with you what had done because otherwise I would have worked in vain. Even this time, I'm not translating this post into English by myself because I am going to the hospital again. Will using google traslate.

Al leer la posibilidad de participar por primera vez en una iniciativa de #HiveArt me sentí emocionada. Al ser @holos-lotus parte de esta propuesta pues todo fue un reto. Me dije ¿Terapia con arte? Pues en el arte todo es posible. Al principio pensé en hacer un mural en mi cuarto, desvariando en mi pared mientras escuchaba música relajante. ¡Sería interesante grabar ese video! Pero sucedió un imprevisto donde la salud de un familiar se puso en riesgo, porque los Accidentes no piden permiso ni se anuncian con antelación. Tuve este arte listo a tiempo para la iniciativa pero al correr al hospital no pude publicarlo en el plazo, igual queria compartir con ustedes lo realizado porque sino habría trabajado en vano. Incluso, en esta ocasión, no traduciré este post a inglés por mi misma porque estoy a ir de nuevo al hospital. Usaré google traslate.

With my 2b graphite pencil I made a circle and traced a vertical and a horizontal diameter, forming the four right angles in each portion, then drew parallel lines half the distance that was left to reach each part of the circumference -I hope I'm explaining it clearly! hihihi With these base lines already drawn, to repeat the same strokes on each main line, that is, if I made a curve on one side, would repeat it on the other. Thus I obtained a reflection image on each of the sides to resemble the style of the mandalas. First I did all this on a piece of Bond paper and then repeated it on a piece of cardboard.

Con mi lápiz grafito 2b realicé un círculo y tracé una diámetro vertical y uno horizontal, haciendo que se formaran los cuatro ángulos rectos en cada porción, luego tracé unas líneas paralelas a la mitad de la distancia que faltaba para llegar a cada parte de la circunferencia -espero estarlo explicando con claridad jijiji. Con estas líneas bases ya trazadas tuve que hacer la repetición en cada línea principal de los mismos trazos, es decir si en uno de los lados hacía una curva en la otra lo repetía. Así obtuve una imagen reflejo en cada uno de los lados para asemejar el estilo de los mandalas. Primero hice todo esto en una hoja de papel Bond y luego lo repetí en un cartón.

I folded a sheet in half to make a square, folded it in half again and drew a curved line at the tip to form the circumference. This was my guide to be able to do something more circular. By drawing the circumference on the cardboard I was able to take my scissors and cut it out. I traced all the lines had made on my sketch paper and continued.

Doblé una hoja a la mitad para formar un cuadrado volví a doblarla a la mitad y tracé una línea curva en la punta para que se formara la circunferencia. Esta fue mi guía para poder hacer algo más circular. Al trazar la circunferencia en el cartón ya pude tomar mi tijera y recortarlo. Tracé todas las líneas que había hecho en mi papel del boceto y continué.

I took a few cold paintings, selecting two tones for each sector, always trying to have a light and a dark one. My main painting tool was my fingers, applying with the brush an amount of paint to the right side with the light color and an amount of paint to the left side with the dark color. So when I made the strokes they were already with the shadows included. It was quite a relaxing process that allowed me to distract my mind a bit and not let it think so much. Then I took a brush to use a contrast tone and outline the design a bit... First with a flat number 2 brush and then with a liner. And I applied with a golden metallic tone and the back of the brush some touches of paint that simulated dots. Adding shine to the design.

Tomé unas cuantas pinturas al frío, seleccionando para cada sector dos tonos, intentando siempre tener un claro y un oscuro. Mi herramienta principal para pintar fueron mis dedos, aplicando con el pincel una cantidad de pintura al lado derecho con el color claro y una cantidad de pintura al lado izquierdo con el color oscuro. Así cuando realice los trazos ya quedaban con las sombras incluidas. Fue un proceso bastante relajante que me permitió abstraer un poco mi mente y no dejarla pensar tanto. Luego tomé un pincel para utilizar un contratono y delinear un poco el diseño... Primero con un pincel numero 2 plano y luego con un liner. Y apliqué con un tono metalizado dorado y la parte de atrás del pincel unos toques de pintura que simulaban puntos. Aportándole de brillo al diseño.

But I felt that needed a touch more and cut around the outline to obtain another cardboard circle, the same size as the previous one. I divided the circle into four parts, cut it out and painted each of the edges that would be visible with a dark color. Used a bookmark that I have of a little ghost with an upturned hand and used it as a stamp to decorate that edge with the gold paint that I had used in the center of the design. I glued the parts and put a hook with the cardboard to hang it. Now my art is ready!

Pero sentía que necesitaba un toque más y recorte por el contorno para obtener otro círculo en cartón, del mismo tamaño que el anterior. Dividí el círculo en cuatro partes, lo recorte y pinté con un color oscuro cada uno de los bordes que se verían. Utilicé un marcador de libros que tengo de un fantasmita con una mano extendida hacia arriba y la usé como sello para decorar ese borde con la pintura dorada que había utilizado en el centro del diseño. Pegué las partes y coloqué un gancho con el cartón para poder colgarlo. ¡Ahora sí está listo mi arte!
