This advice struck a chord with me, as it's undeniably a healthy practice. Given that most of my work and Hive activities involve staring at a screen, I realize that balancing screen time with outdoor exposure is crucial. I certainly don't want my eyesight to deteriorate, especially since it's perfectly fine right now.

Ensuring this balance will not only help preserve my vision but also contribute to my overall well-being. So, I've decided to make a conscious effort to step away from screens regularly and enjoy the outdoors more often.

To embrace this balance, I headed to the Kallang River for a walk, eager to catch the last rays of sunshine for the day. Armed with my DJI Osmo Pocket, I aimed to capture some beautiful footage of the river and the bustling activities along its banks. To my delight, I wasn't alone in this endeavor.

The riverside was alive with people walking, jogging, and even fishing. Although I’m not sure what kind of fish can be caught in this part of the river, the fishing itself seemed like a fun, communal activity. Even without a catch, the experience of fishing with friends can be incredibly enjoyable.

In conclusion, balancing screen time with outdoor activities has proven to be an invaluable practice for my well-being. My visit to the Kallang River not only provided a refreshing break but also allowed me to capture beautiful moments and connect with nature. Moving forward, I plan to regularly incorporate such outings to ensure a healthier, more balanced lifestyle.

While I don’t plan to change careers and become a full-time videographer, I see this as a fantastic side hustle. Videography is quickly becoming a personal hobby that could turn profitable as I hone my skills.

Nowadays, there are countless opportunities to monetize content on various platforms within the Hive ecosystem. Both bloggers and vloggers are reaping rewards through frontends like Ecency and PeakD for blog posts and 3Speak for video content.

Armed with my new DJI Pocket 2, I’m thrilled to shoot clips and compile them into full-length videos. For editing, I’ve been using Microsoft Clipchamp, a free software bundled with the latest Microsoft OS. I stumbled upon it by accident, and it has quickly become my go-to app. Clipchamp is a powerful editing tool, that allows me to add copyright-free music and sounds, which brings my videos to life.

I can't wait to explore this new avenue and see where my videography journey takes me!

I intend to learn how to use my Pocket 2 to capture videos and the first thing that I tried is to create slow-motion videos and see if the results are any good.

I composed 6 slow-mo clips into a video and added the audio file using Microsoft's Clipchamp app. I just discovered this app and tried if it's easy to use for a beginner like me. Surprisingly, it was very easy to use. Combining clips and editing each of them is as easy as drag-and-dropping files and shortening them to suit my preference.

I wanted to create a 1-minute video montage of the recorded videos because I was worried that it could become boring if it's longer than that. I hope that it will become entertaining for the 3Speak viewers. I also hope that my first-ever 3Speak video will receive support from the Amazing Nature community of Hive.

I'm happy that my weekend is well spent in learning about basic video editing and uploading to the 3Speak platform. This is going to be a continuous endeavor for me to keep improving my videography skills. Thank you in advance for viewing my video!
