Speaking of Heat Wave, we have a new special, summer event named exactly like that! As every previous summer event, it had the same mechanics... You have to find the special card in the packs (for this event it's S108 Isley), or you can buy it in the market... When it's in your collection, you will be able to run the special mission... At the end of the mission, you will have a 1 in 10 chance to get one of two special instruments, S109 Summer Drum, or S110 Summer Sax!

So, this pack opening was more interesting as, besides hoping to get a RARE VEHICLE, or an EPIC card, there was an additional chance to get the special card... The idea is to give away some of those to you guys and help you out with running this special event, which is time-limited...

Regarding news, as I did a long break from the last video, we had new July cards, which you probably noticed from the thumbnail of this post... (Check all of them in @nupulse's post here https://peakd.com/hive-195370/@nupulse/july-2025-new-cards-cards-enes-nuevas-cartas-julio-20253) Legendaries, 7 EPICs, 12 RAREs, and a bunch of NEW common cards! The legendary card I got isn't from these 3, but from before! We have 2 new cards available for blending, 1 new special mission, and of course, a new weekly festival, as usual...

I didn't move too much in rankings in the game, going up and down, around 42-43 place... Still working (and will be working) mostly on my EGO, trying to lower it under 10%... I'm close, but will probably need a month or two to get there... The most important thing is that every day, I skim a bit of that EGO... :)

What about my pack opening? Well, it was better than ever, but unfortunately, because of the already mentioned computer issues, you won't be able to see it. Still, you can hear the number of legendary and epic cards that I found in packs!!! Awesome!!

We are in June, which means new cards!!! That's always exciting to see and exciting to open packs when it happens! I didn't open any packs yet, and this was my first 20 packs in June... The strategy is to buy (and open) 20 packs per video in the hope of getting at least 1 EPIC or 1 RARE VEHICLE card which would be given away... If that doesn't happen, I would buy an additional 10 packs to give a second chance... Luckily, in most cases, I got good cards, so I spared STARBITS for my music lessons!

From the news, we have a new festival every week... This time, it is held in our beloved Venezuela, from which we have many Hivians and RS players too! I hope you get your wristband (NFT) from there! If not, hurry up until the festival convoy doesn't leave the country!

Also, we have a new PRO card available for blending! It is a PRO110 SV88 card, that you can blend by combining 49 i182 SV88 cards and 1 Fix It NFT! Blending is also time-limited, so pay attention to doing it before the time runs out! We have always new cards in the PawnShow and Hotel Buskeria, so don't forget to peak there too!

You probably noticed the title of this post which is associated with my never-ending EGO struggle... hehehehe... It looks like I'm stagnating around 11% EGO, but the number should go down... I'm doing my best to push it down, but the process is rather slow... Compared with 25%+ EGO from a few months ago, this looks great!

Regarding other stats, they are similar to last week and I didn't have big ups or downs...

Just when I thought I was getting back to my regular schedule, I went "off-road"... lol... Life happens... But I didn't stop playing the Rising Star game! I have it on my phone and do missions even when I'm out! Probably because of that, my general Ranking didn't fall off the cliff, but I moved up to the 42nd place!! That was a pleasant surprise...

I have to admit that I didn't participate in Pawn Shop or Hotel Buskeria lately, as I'm trying to keep my focus on lowering my EGO... So, all my earnings from the game are going into STARPRO and getting burned by doing music lessons!

Luckily, my new opening packs strategy is also giving results... I open fewer packs, and if I get some nice card in the first 20 packs (until now, it has happened every time), I keep the STARBITS, which I would spend on buying an additional 10 packs... With that money, I do additional music lessons!

We have a few new cards added to the game... One of them is PRO Rebecca, which is ready for BLENDING! If you have 49 181 Rebecca cards and 1 FixIt NFT, you can blend them into one PRO Rebecca 107 NFT! We have two new additions to the "Shiny" collections, one in the PAWN SHOP, and the other one in the Hotel Buskeria!

Regarding my progress, I didn't do too well this week... I dropped in Rankings and the drop will probably continue because of my current focus on lowering my EGO... I spend ALL my earnings from the game on STARPRO tokens (exchanging from SB to SP) to be able to pay for lessons, and the rest of my income goes for buying packs... As others are probably having different priorities, they have funds to go into buying Shiny cards, and other cards from the markets, needed for PAWN SHOP, for example... So, all in all, I will try to lower my EGO under 10%, and maybe then I will go more into other parts of the game with my "spare" SB earnings...

The same as last time, I stick to my 20-10 packs opening per video/post... If I don't get some nice card for giveaway in 20 packs, I will buy an additional 10 in the video... If I do get, I will spend the rest of SB for doing lessons... ;)

The biggest change that will happen (from this video!) is that I will not open 30 packs per video anymore! I have changed my strategy to open 20+10 packs... What does that even mean? Well, before recording the video, I will prepare 20 packs for opening and 200K STARBITS ready to deploy... If I get a nice card for a giveaway (EPIC, SPECIAL CARD, or RARE VEHICLE card), I will stay with 20 packs... If I don't get any juicy cards, I will buy another 10 packs and open them in the same video to give me more chances to get any!

Why am I doing that? The number of cards isn't relevant anymore for general Rankings, and opening packs usually means a lot of duplicates... So, instead of getting duplicates, I will try to buy UNIQUE cards from the markets instead... Also, it's important to say that I will use spared STARBITS to convert into STARPRO and pay for additional LESSONS! The whole point is to lower my EGO as much closer to 0 as possible!

If this new strategy doesn't work, I will make additional changes on the go... ;)
