Hello Hive open mic we have written our entry improvsed on our script to produce the final recording . The theme The Glory , and we enjoyed an evening of throwing ideas together to come up with this new track. We have missded posting on Hive and we are commited to joining in every week .

She Brings Live @ Drumcamp -Moonlit Rainbow Halo

We had great fun at Drumcamp, @queenoftheworld and myself provide a marque as a green room for the main stage and we perform with workshops from time to time and at lunch at the bars and cafe's . This year we performed in the caboret on the main stage as She Brings ,
here we are playing our composition moon lit rainbow halo. Drumpcamp is a Great festival run by on of the organisers at Womad festival, it takes place in Norfolk county in England. The festival feature workshops held by musicians from all over the world who teach there cultural sounds and rythms. it is well attended by friendly festival gowers.

Helping out at back to nature festival we’ve been to the site to put up a marquee 40 x 20‘ old army tent thankfully there were some friends there to help us as it takes about six people to actually erect the tent. The whole process went smoothly .

Then we decorated the tent with Tara and Windhorse prayer flags ,some pictures that @Queenoftheworld had painted on some large canvases that we put uses hangings round the walls. We also brought our Green Tara tanka and had a special area for Green Tara.

The large canvases that @Queenoftheworld painted are of the river. This is a legacy of the large marquee being used for the river stage which put on many bands over the years at cosmic puffin festival. The marque provides a great space for comunal activities.

People are starting together for the weekend and I must say I’m really looking forward to getting back to nature this weekend. Feel like I’m going to be able to relax having been working quite hard recently.

A weekend of yoga ,Qi Gong , good food ,saunas what more could one ask for?

A buetiful cacao ceremony .defiately a memorable part of the weekend.

And of course, one of the important things to have a festival songs round the campfire with everyone bonding

The last friday in the month , we host open mic night at Bruff , a great little cocktail bar at walton.
Atracting local artists and live music fans .

With fantastic views of the sea off of walton beach through the large windows . This is a great place to be on a friday night after a busy week at work. We drew a good sized audience who enjoyed the performances.

With a variety of talented performers the evening had a special feel to it and we felt prialidged to be a part of it. From hard hitting rap by Lizzyness to alernatve rock from the rascals, each act just seemed to get better and better.

As well as enoying the music we could all enjoy the amazing coctails that Stephanie serves at the Bruff. I drank non alchoholic mocktails as I had to drive the PA back to harwich.
The PA we used was on loan from the local council in Harwich for another open mic gig we are hosting on Saturday in cliff park dovercourt Harwich.

We came away impressed by the PA, alot easier to set up than our usual system and a good sound clear bright with plenty of bass. A line array system , I am considering selling my existing PA to help pay for somthing similar , good indoors at a venue but tomorrow we will see how it performs ot doors in the park.

The PA has 8 inputs and to mix the levels you can download an app and use a phone or pad to access controls for each channel. This is great and allows me to mix from any where in the venue.

Open Mic at Cliff Park

We took Liziness to Harwich with us so that she could perform in the park the next day. She enjoys staying with us and Harwich because she likes being around other musicians . We are often creating music with her when she visits.

The PA performed well in Cliff Park and was very efficient outside. It has a 120° degree spread so I placed a small busking amp behind it so that the sound was available all around the bandstand.

We hosted the open Mike from 1230 until 4 o’clock and the again we had talented musicians turning up , and enthusiastic audience to appreciate the music.

We enjoyed an afternoon of inspirational music from friendly local talented artists.
