The journey in Hope County reached a somber end as Ethan apologized to Joseph before passing away. After a flashback to Ethan's childhood, Joseph placed his son's body at the base of the burning tree and begged for death. I finally gave him the justice he asked for before returning to Prosperity to share a final drink with Carmina.

This is my last post about Far Cry New Dawn. It began with Ethan saying sorry to his father, having finally understood the consequences of his actions. Joseph tried his best to calm him down in those final moments.

Ethan died right in front of Joseph, which caused the man to let out a hollow scream before he carried his son's body away. An intermission followed, showing younger Ethan years ago.

The flashback featured Ethan as a child, asking his dad why he couldn't have an apple from the sacred tree. Joseph tried to convince him in his own way, but Ethan insisted he would have one once he grew up.

Back in the present, Joseph took Ethan's body and placed it beneath the tree, setting the sacred tree on fire. The flames quickly began to consume the tree he lost his son for.

Joseph then asked me to give him justice and end his life. I only had one real option, and since I had wanted to do this for a long time, I pulled the trigger and finished it.

I noticed the body had already started to burn along with the tree. Before leaving the sanctuary for good, I turned back one last time to see the end of the cult's legacy.

I used the airdrop feature to get back to Prosperity quickly. There was still a bit of the story left to witness at the homebase before the credits rolled.

After getting inside the base, I headed out to the grave of Rush, which was located just outside the main walls of the settlement.

Carmina came over with some beer bottles. After a quiet conversation about everything that had happened, they shared a toast before the main story concept finally came to an end.

The camera panned out toward the isolation zone, and the game informed me that the world was mine now. This means I can explore the post-apocalyptic landscape as much as I want from here on out.

As I got closer, a cinematic began. Ethan was standing beneath the tree surrounded by fallen apples, but Joseph stepped in to stop my character from interfering.

Ignoring the rotting fruit on the ground, Ethan reached up and picked a perfectly fresh apple directly from the branch.

Ethan showed a lot of resentment toward his father, feeling like he was being held back from the power he deserved. Joseph pleaded with him, claiming he was only trying to protect his son from a burden he couldn't carry.

Ethan ignored the pleas and took a large bite of the apple. Immediately, something shifted within him, and he fled the scene in a state of sudden, violent change.

Joseph looked at me with pure desperation and requested that I save his son, admitting Ethan's soul was no longer clean. I set off to find him.

I tracked him to a nearby cave, where I watched him warp into a terrifying monster. It was clear the man he once was had completely vanished, and I had to prepare for the fight of my life.

I realized I made a tactical error by carrying two sniper rifles instead of my reliable SLR. I had to rely heavily on my rocket launcher, but the reload time was painfully slow against such a fast target.

The snipers weren't doing enough damage to the beast, so I switched to my primary handgun to keep a steady stream of fire on him while I waited for larger windows to attack.

The monster started attacking with bursts of flame. I had to keep sprinting around the cavern to avoid being burned alive while constantly firing back to chip away at his health.

Whenever my rage power became available, I activated it and rushed in to land heavy punches. There were moments where it felt like I wouldn't make it, but I kept pushing through the damage.

Despite lacking my preferred special weapons, I managed to take down the beast. The mission was finally completed, leaving a heavy silence in the cave.

I set out for the Sanctuary to meet Ethan and Joseph, using a turret-mounted boat. After getting stuck on massive logs and surviving a terrifying encounter with a bear that shrugged off an RPG, I cleared a group of Highwaymen and pushed my way back toward the goal.

I began my journey to the sanctuary to meet Ethan and Joseph. I grabbed a boat equipped with a heavy turret at the island outpost and started making my way up the river.

A Highwayman on a jet ski tried to intercept me. I hit him once and thought he was finished, but he stayed upright and kept coming at me, so I had to use the turret to finally take him down.

I hit a thick patch of smoke and realized the waterway was completely blocked by massive tree logs. I ended up getting the boat wedged against the barracks and had to leave it behind.

I decided to use my high jump skills to navigate the terrain. I was trying to stay above the mess on the ground so I wouldn't get stuck in the brush while looking for a new path.

Suddenly, a massive wild bear ambushed me. I didn't take any chances and fired an RPG at point-blank range, but the beast surprisingly shrugged it off and kept charging.

The bear was relentless, trying to pin me down for a long time. It was incredibly tough, but I managed to outmaneuver it and finally took it down before it could overpower me.

I found another boat and headed back into the smoke on a different path. I accidentally ran aground again, but this time I was able to push the boat back into the water and keep moving.

I spotted a trader on the bank and pulled over, hoping to swap out my two snipers for something more versatile. Unfortunately, the setup didn't allow for a weapon switch at that moment.

Before heading back out, I noticed a group of Highwaymen causing trouble nearby. I decided to teach them a lesson and cleared the area before hopping back in the boat for the final stretch to the sanctuary.

Mickey became desperate after Lou's death, forcing me to fight from outside the perimeter. After a quick restart to restock ammo, I pushed back in and knocked Mickey down. I finished her with an RPG, watched the sisters' final conversation, and ensured they were gone for good with one last blast.

After I killed Lou, Mickey's wrath became incredibly dangerous. She started blasting everything inside the perimeter so aggressively that I couldn't even stay inside the area to fight her.

Those annoying guard dogs just wouldn't quit. Even when I moved outside the main combat zone, they kept following me, I even caught one swimming through the water just to get to me.

After clearing out some dogs and highwaymen in the surrounding area, I crept back toward the entrance. I was looking for a clear window to get some sniper shots on Mickey.

A highwayman managed to sneak up and attack me from behind. I took him down, but another enemy pinned me down immediately after, and I didn't survive the encounter.

Dying actually turned out to be a bit of a reset I needed. It gave me access to the reloading boxes again, so I could fully restock my ammo and grab some much-needed bandages.

My only focus was Mickey. I fought through the remaining guards and finally got close enough to hammer her with the same rifles I used on Lou. After several hits, she was finally knocked down.

I followed her into the hut and used an RPG to finish her off. Since she loved using explosives so much throughout the game, it felt only right to end her story with one.

Both sisters ended up on their deathbeds, sharing one last conversation. Lou passed away first, leaving Mickey struggling behind to face the end alone.

Mickey tried one last manipulation, suggesting I should just leave her alone and that I'd never see her again. It felt like a trap to try and survive at the last second.

I walked backward to give her a moment of false hope before firing a final RPG from a distance. I caught the projectile mid-air in these shots; the scale of the explosion looked amazing.

The explosion hit directly, and Mickey was gone. The threat the twins posed to this world was finally over.

I went over to where they lay and kept firing as a release for all the trouble they caused. The mission was officially finished, though the journey through this world still had more in store.

After calling Carmina for help, I flew a chopper to New Eden to face the twins. The fight was chaotic, with smoke bombs, RPGs, and aggressive dogs making it hard to stay alive. After a long struggle, I finally managed to take down Lou for good.

After all the massacres in this world, I decided to go for the twins at last. I called Carmina to join me in this fight, knowing I would need her help to survive the encounter.

I flew a chopper to get to the New Eden compound. Once I landed, I spotted some hunters in the area and dealt with them before moving toward the main objective.

I went to the church to meet the twins again. They appeared right away, using smoke bombs to confuse me and hide their movements as the battle began.

I already knew how dangerous they could be, and I wasn't going to let them turn me into ashes. I jumped off the cliff to reach a safer position and get some distance between us.

I started shooting Lou with my sniper rifle while taking cover. Carmina was fighting right beside me, but Mickey made things difficult by constantly shooting at us with RPGs.

I had to move from my spot because Mickey kept targeting me with explosives. I noticed my chopper was gone, even though I had planned to use it as part of my strategy in the fight.

A lot of dogs started bothering me and blocking my path. I had to take care of them while the sisters kept trying to pin me down with their constant gunfire.

I finally managed to knock Lou down, but I didn't get the chance to finish her off. Mickey rushed to her side and saved her, bringing her back to full health in an instant.

To survive, I had to get out of the compound for a moment. Even outside the main area, the dogs were still being annoying and followed me out of the ring.

After Lou fell the first time, I switched my roster and called Pastor Jerome. I noticed Lou came down to shoot at me with half her health.

After taking a break and reviving, I went back for Lou one last time. I found her alone in a hut, and I finally finished her off to end her part in the fight.

The deeper I went inside the cave, the more mysterious the environment became. I was forced to perform even more swimming as the tunnels narrowed and dipped further beneath the mountain's surface.

At this point, the entire cavern looked like a fairy place, illuminated by thousands of tiny lightings that glowed along the walls. I had to swing across several gaps to keep moving forward through the enchanted atmosphere.

Without warning, the ground beneath me collapsed entirely. I plunged into a pool of clean water on the other side, which fortunately broke my fall and allowed me to continue the exploration.

After swimming back to the surface, I discovered something bizarre: several wrecked cars were lodged this deep inside the cave. It was strange to see such heavy machinery so far from any actual road.

At last, I found the treasure waiting at the far end of the cave. It was tucked away in a quiet corner, marking the end of the long and dangerous hunt through the dark.

Near the treasure, I found bodies or skeletons buried under piles of rocks and tree branches. I set them on fire to provide a proper burial for the fallen, adding a somber tone to the discovery.

I began swimming toward the other side and eventually found the exit. This opening turned out to be the hidden source of the waterfall I had seen earlier from the outside.

I jumped off the edge of the waterfall, hoping to glide down safely. Sadly, I couldn't manage to open my parachute in time, and the fall ended my journey right away as I reached the ground.

After an aerial approach to a new location, I discovered a note near a wrecked car that initiated a mountain climb. While scaling the peaks, I was forced into a violent shootout with two wild bears before jumping into a deep pit.

After finishing the last treasure hunt, I headed straight for another one. I jumped out of my chopper and performed a skydive to reach the objective location as quickly as possible, enjoying the view on the way down.

I landed near a wrecked car on a steep waterfall trail where I found a note. The message was clear: if I wanted the treasure, I would have to use my grappling rope to climb high up the face of the mountain. Though the message was for someone else.

After climbing a significant distance, I took a brief break. I stopped to check out the waterfall flowing beside the rocks; it looked incredibly cool and provided a nice moment of peace before the real danger started.

I used the last grappling hook to reach the very top of the mountain. From that vantage point, I noticed a deep pit filled with water, which looked like the only way forward for the next part of the hunt.

Before I could make the jump, two wild bears suddenly emerged and attacked me. I didn't have much room to move, so I had to take care of them quickly using explosive bullets to ensure I didn't get knocked off the cliff.

Once the area was clear, I leaped into the pit and started diving deep underwater. I spent some time swimming around with the fish while looking for an opening that would lead into the heart of the mountain.

My underwater exploration led me to a hidden campsite tucked away inside the caves. I found another note there, informing me that the journey wasn't over yet and I'd have to use more grappling hooks to navigate the darkness ahead.

A mysterious treasure hunt began with a burning highwayman and a daring warning note. After a fiery encounter with a wolverine and a mechanical puzzle involving numbered artificial fish, the bunker door finally yielded its secrets.

It was another treasure hunt, and right after reaching the spot, a highwayman on fire ran out of a tiny shed. I shot him down before the flames could finish him off completely.

A warning note near the entrance mentioned a bunker hidden beneath the shed. It described a door at the bottom of a ladder past some fish and dared anyone to try and enter.

The bunker hatch was already open, so I climbed down into the darkness. I found the interior door was locked tight, which forced me to head back to the surface.

I explored the surrounding area and found a gap in a house that I kicked open to gain entry. Inside, I had to shoot and burn a wild wolverine that attacked me.

My bullets started spreading fire throughout the house, eventually reaching the plants on the ground level. I had to wait for a while before the flames finally died down so I could move.

I found a generator beside the dead wolverine and activated it, which turned on several lights and mechanical toys. Some artificial fish began moving their bodies while making weird sounds.

After climbing to a higher point in the house, I found another note containing a specific sequence of numbers. At first, I was still confused about how to use this information.

I went back into the bunker and noticed the same numbered fish were hanging on the wall. Following the sequence from the note, I interacted with the first one and the door opened.

I expected to have to touch every single fish in order, but the process was much easier than I thought. I found the treasure inside and successfully completed the hunt.

After leaving the bunker, I noticed highwaymen fighting local people nearby. I shot them down quickly and then flew my chopper away, noticing it was already daytime during my exit.

I embarked on a treasure hunt, witnessing a highwayman mysteriously catch fire before I ambushed an ethanol tanker. I infiltrated a locked supply room via a zipline and solved a mechanical puzzle involving pressure valves and suspended cars. After navigating steep paths, I claimed my rewards as night fell.

I went for a treasure hunt and stopped after noticing a highwayman at the entrance. Suddenly, he caught fire, I don't know how, and he got burned right in front of me.

I noticed some highwaymen arriving with an ethanol tanker. Before they could get close, I shot the driver with a sniper bullet and used an RPG to vaporize the escort vehicle.

I went ahead and found a barn where two highwaymen were trying to open a door. I shot both from my hiding spot; they caught fire while rushing me and died on their way.

I checked around and found a note. Someone mentioned getting inside the supply room no matter how hard it was, advising whoever found it to just be grateful for the haul inside.

As the front door was locked, I went to the back of the supply room. I grappled up a nearby tower and used a zipline to reach a high, open window.

After kicking open that window, I dropped inside the dusty building. I used a pressure valve to open the main gate first, allowing some light into the cramped mechanical space.

I interacted with another pressure valve which pulled a wrecked car upward. This cleared a path for me to reach the next valve, which was clearly my ticket to the treasure.

It was tricky to reach the last valve because the path was so steep, but I made it. Interacting with it moved a drift car that was blocking the final door.

At last, I found the treasure and completed the mission. There were a lot of goodies waiting for me, including rare materials that made all the climbing and puzzles worth it.

I went outside and noticed it was already night. It was a strange feeling, remembering that I had gone inside the supply room when it was still broad daytime.

After the failed stealth attempt, I opted for a loud approach to the nuclear plant. I stormed the facility, secured the package with a point-blank takedown, and defended the extraction zone from a tower.

This time, I successfully protected the chopper and completed the expedition in under ten minutes.

After the mission went out of my hand last time, I didn't have the patience to go for stealth again. I opened fire right after getting to the main facility building to clear a path.

I noticed a pink flare was shot into the air to call for Highwaymen reinforcements.

I planned to wrap up the mission as soon as I could this time. I was just shooting down any enemies in my way, including the reinforcements that arrived on various armored vehicles.

After getting inside the bunker where my targeted package was waiting, I noticed a Highwayman hiding near the gunshots. I shot him down at point-blank range and grabbed the package immediately.

I came out of the building and found an ATV waiting there. I started riding toward the extraction zone when I noticed a Highwayman was already hot on my trail, trying to stop the theft.

After getting to the extraction zone, the first thing I did was climb up the tower. I used my RPG to blow up enemy vehicles before they could deploy troops to surround me.

More Highwaymen arrived, but I shot them down with my rifle from my vantage point. I saw Roger flying the chopper toward the extraction zone right beside my position on the tower.

Right after Roger landed, I jumped off the tower and used my parachute to descend. Upon landing, I shot a Highwayman who was desperately reaching for the mounted machine gun.

I was not giving the Highwaymen a chance to blow up my ride again this time. I stayed on the ground for a bit, methodically shooting them down to ensure Roger was safe.

I understood I could hold them off longer, but I decided not to play around anymore. I jumped onto the ride and kept shooting enemies while the chopper began to lift off.

I tried one last RPG shot for good measure before we left the nuclear plant behind. The mission was finally completed in under ten minutes, marking a successful and efficient expedition.

I went out of the building just to see if there was a way to climb on top of this structure. I looked around carefully but I didn't find any viable path to reach the roof.

I went inside the building where the package I was looking for should have been. I found another Highwayman below, but I made sure to shoot down my previous tracked target first.

Noticing the fire on that Highwayman, the other one rushed over to help him. I took a quick shot at his back while he was distracted, and he fell to the ground as well.

Before securing the package after I located it, I checked the surrounding room. I didn't find anything else interesting, so I finally grabbed the package I was there for.

I jumped off the building and opened my wingsuit to get as far as I could. I glided through the air towards the extraction zone to put distance between me and the enemies.

When I was back on foot, I noticed a pink flare in the air. The GPS of the package was activated, signaling my position to everyone in the area as I moved forward.

I drove a truck since the extraction zone was a little far away. I noticed a Highwayman was shooting me from behind, but I kept my focus on the road ahead.

After getting to the extraction zone, I found a mounted machine gun. I used it to shoot down several enemies while waiting for my getaway ride to arrive at the scene.

A vehicle arrived carrying more Highwaymen, and I shot them all before they could dismount. I then noticed a large group of enemies approaching on foot from the other side.

At last, Roger landed the chopper right beside me, but I decided not to leave yet. I climbed up a wrecked tower instead to get a better view of the battlefield.

After climbing the tower, I shot down a handful of enemies with my sniper rifle. I then used my rocket launcher to blow up several enemy vehicles with high-powered RPG rounds.

One enemy reached the machine gun and started shooting the chopper heavily. I managed to take him down, but he had already damaged the ride so much that the mission failed.

From elevated overwatch to brutal stealth takedowns inside the facility, each encounter was handled carefully, leading to a tense approach toward a lower level where the objective likely awaited.

I circled back for the highwayman who had been patrolling the area in a truck, curious about what he had stopped to inspect. From a distance, I watched him lean over the side, checking something near a cluster of supplies.

The bullet struck, and instead of a simple takedown, a burst of fire erupted around him. An oil barrel nearby caught the blast, and within seconds the entire spot went up in a massive explosion.

I climbed onto a shipping container overlooking the chaos, expecting reinforcements to rush in and investigate. Strangely, no one came. The fire crackled below, but the rest of the facility remained still.

Moving closer to the main building, I noticed one highwayman shifting crates near the entrance while another stood guard at a mounted machine gun. I prioritized the gunner and dropped him before he could react.

Two nearby highwaymen turned toward the sound, realizing something was wrong as their ally collapsed.

As I approached the doorway, a highwayman suddenly stepped out. Instead of forcing a confrontation, I jumped down from the ledge and stayed low, making sure he would not spot me.

He eventually noticed the bodies I had left behind. The moment he bent down to inspect, I steadied my aim and eliminated him as well, ensuring the area outside was clear.

Inside the building, I spotted another highwayman who seemed to be heading in my direction. Before engaging, I used the photo mode to carefully observe his movement.

It turned out he was focused on something off to the side, not advancing toward me as I first thought.

Seizing the opportunity, I moved in silently. Before he could react, I executed a brutal stealth takedown, driving the knife under his arm and then up through his skull. He dropped instantly without a sound.

A sniper began moving toward my position, alerted by earlier noise. I stayed hidden, letting her close the distance.

She noticed the body behind me and hesitated. That split second was all I needed. I lunged forward and ended her with a swift blade strike before she could fire a shot.

Reaching the pink flare marker, I saw an open hatch leading to a lower level. A few highwaymen were patrolling beneath me. I suspected the package I was searching for was down there.

instead of rushing in, I decided to survey the remaining area first, making sure no other enemies were left to surprise me.

I arrived at an abandoned nuclear power plant via helicopter to retrieve a rare package from the Highwaymen. After Roger departed, I infiltrated a massive cooling tower using a ghost perk for invisibility. I neutralized several guards stealthily, but after failing to find a path to the summit, I redirected my focus toward the main facility.

An abandoned nuclear power plant had been overtaken by the Highwaymen. Roger Cadoret, our pilot and mission giver, flew me close to the facility.

After landing near the perimeter, Roger flew away while I watched his departure. He mentioned he would return to extract me once I'd secured the rare package from the enemy.

I noticed this was a huge place, dominated by a massive cooling tower on the left and a large industrial building on the right. The pink flame indicated the package was inside the right-hand structure.

I decided to get close to the big tower first. I thought gaining a height advantage would allow me to scout the entire area and tag the Highwaymen patrolling the grounds below.

After reaching the base of the tower, I noticed a Highwayman stationed there. I had initially thought this part of the structure would be empty, but they had guards everywhere.

Activating the ghost perk to stay invisible for a short time, I crept toward the guard. I took a headshot to eliminate him before he could alert the rest of the camp.

I heard the noise of a vehicle nearby. To hide my tracks, I picked up the dead body and threw it into the shallow, murky water at the base of the tower.

I started climbing further and encountered another Highwayman. I took her down quickly by stabbing her right in the chest before she could to face me with a counter attack.

I tried using a grapple point to climb higher up the pillars. I struggled to find a path to the very top and didn't quite understand how the grapple points were supposed to connect.

I heard the vehicle's noise very close by and moved to a vantage point. I noticed a Highwayman driver stopping for a moment before speeding away toward the main building.

After looking around for a moment, I realized there was no way to get to the very top of the cooling tower. I abandoned my plan of reaching the summit as it seemed impossible.

I decided to leave the tower behind and head toward the other side of the power plant. My focus shifted to the main building to finally track down the package I came for.

I defended the extraction zone from a tower before wingsuiting down towards our getaway ride. I utilized a mounted machine gun and a special weapon to fend off waves of enemies targeting our transport.

After an intense, prolonged battle, I boarded the helicopter and fired RPGs at the remaining forces as we escaped.

Enemies started shooting me mercilessly when Roger already landed on the extraction zone. I stayed on the tower and kept sniping anyone I could to keep the landing zone clear for our escape.

When I understood I was getting overpowered, I jumped off the tower and used my wingsuit to get close to our chopper. I noticed a mounted machine gun was waiting for me there.

Using that mounted machine gun, I started shooting down enemies that were coming from every side. The heavy fire helped keep the Highwaymen at bay while Roger prepped the chopper for takeoff.

Suddenly, one of the enemies focused on destroying the chopper directly. I did not have an opening on him from the machine gun, so I had to leave it behind to shoot him down.

I climbed a rocky cliff close to the chopper to get a better angle. From there, I started shooting down the enemies that were coming to damage our ride from the shadows.

I noticed there were more enemies coming from the other side of the desert. I turned and started shooting them down before they could get close enough to throw explosives at us.

As I lost all ammo for my sniper rifle, I started using the other special weapon I had with me. I started butchering the enemies like I never did before in the chaos.

I knew I could fight longer, but I gave up and jumped on the chopper. I left the site, completing the mission while shooting some enemies with RPGs from the air.

It was one of the longest fights I've done for the time of an extraction.

I neutralized an enemy with a cinematic elbow stab before sniping a highwayman on the other side and an ATV crew. After securing the package, I navigated an open battlefield filled with reinforcements. I used a zipline to reach a tower, where I held my ground under a torn flag while awaiting Roger's extraction.

When I was waiting for the reinforcement to show up, the lady I left live last time climbed up towards me. Right when she reached the roof, I stabbed her in the elbow.

It was a cool scene that I captured in the photo mode. I tried different angles to check this neutralization, and it looked like real fun as the character performed the move.

I noticed a highwayman on the other side who was a little far from me. Since I had my sniper scope on, it was not so hard taking him down from a distance.

There came two more of them driving an ATV from behind my position. I reacted quickly and shot them both down before they could dismount and engage me in a firefight.

I understood it was getting harder as more reinforcements were coming towards the spot. I ran to the package and secured it when it was still relatively easy for me to grab.

I was heading towards the extraction zone after securing the package. Roger mentioned over the comms that he was also coming to take me away so I had to reach the designated landing spot.

The GPS tracker on the package was already activated, signaling my location to everyone. Before the special reinforcements arrived, I had to take care of more enemies that I missed last time.

I somehow understood it would be a hard fight this time as it was an open place. I tried the zipline to get away from the enemies behind me so I wouldn't be surrounded.

I climbed up on this tower and held my ground right beneath that torn USA flag. There were reinforcements coming towards me while Roger was yet to land and take me away.
