When I reflect on where God has brought me from, what he is currently doing in my life, and all he has promised me, I can only sing his praises. Looking back at the past year, I sometimes can’t believe how far I’ve come. There were moments of pain when it felt like everything might fall apart, but the Lord always showed up. He spoke peace to my heart, strengthened me, provided for me, favored me, blessed me, protected me, and showed me mercy. The miracles he has done for me are truly too many to count.

The first time I heard Odara was during the Hallelujah Challenge. The Hallelujah Challenge is a worship program led by Nathaniel Bassey twice every year at the beginning and at the end of the year. I couldn’t help but be captured by the rhythm and message of this song.

More than just singing, music has always been a healing stream for me. For my cover this week, I chose the song “Watarana” (meaning One day or Someday) by Sir Billy ft. Chris Dickson. This song resonates deeply with me because it reminds me of how limited and short our journey on earth really is.

I still remember the beautiful moments I shared with some of my loved ones around this time last year. They would often say, “Happiness, these are my plans for the new year,” but sadly, some of them never made it past December. The most shocking moment for me was on January 11th when one of my beloved relatives passed away in an accident. It still feels like a dream.

Through all of this, I have come to realize that the best time to serve the Lord is now. There can never be a better time, because tomorrow is not promised to us.

I’ve watched this movie countless times and never get tired of it. Barbie and the Diamond Castle is an enchanting fairy-tale adventure that leaves young viewers with valuable lessons about friendship, music, and courage.

For me, friendship has always been something I treasure deeply, built on trust and loyalty. At times, I’ve struggled with making friends because I hold these values so dearly. However, after watching Barbie and the Diamond Castle, I clearly saw that true friendships that last will inevitably face challenges, just as Liana and Alexa (the main characters) did.

In the movie, they were tested with luxury, challenged by Lydia’s dragon “Slyder,” and even had to make the difficult choice to save a stranger, Melody, and her fellow muses, who had been turned into stone.

For this week, I’ve prepared a beautiful cover of the song “Jesus Take The Wheel” by Carrie Underwood. It’s actually funny how I had struggled for a while to learn the lyrics of this song, not because it was too difficult, but I think my mind just wasn’t fully set on it.

When this week’s competition began, several songs ran through my mind, but Jesus take the Wheel stood out and got the highest vote from my heart 😊 (yes, it really did 😄). Deep within, I knew I had to sing it. And guess what? In the blink of an eye, I had perfectly learned the lyrics! 🤩
That moment reminded me that in life, whatever we truly set our hearts and minds on, we can achieve, if we remain focused and determined.

The message in Jesus Take the Wheel made me pause and reflect. Truly, there are moments in life when all we can say is, “Jesus, take the wheel.” I’ve personally seen God step in, not once, not twice, but countless times. You know those situations where you've tried everything, and nothing seems to work? When you're at the brink of giving up, and then you remember there’s someone who never gives up on you, no matter how many times you’ve messed up. He’s always ready to clean you up and make you whole again.

In those moments, you fall to your knees and say, “Lord, I’m sorry for the way I’ve been living. I know it’s time to change. From tonight, Jesus take the wheel.” And he shows up faithfully.

I am truly a product of his mercy and grace. 🙏

With excitement in my heart, I present to you my cover of the beautiful song “Your Presence is Heaven” by Israel Houghton and New Breed.

This song speaks deeply to me, it captures the intense longing of the human soul for the presence of God. He alone is our true satisfaction. We can have everything we’ve ever desired in life, yet there remains a void that only God can fill. That sacred space belongs solely to the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, the great I AM. His place in our hearts is irreplaceable.

I remember once listening to a gospel sermon, and the preacher asked: “If today were your last day and you had only 30 minutes left to live, what would be your deepest desire?”
In that moment, as I searched within, all I longed for was satisfaction, satisfaction with God. Everything else faded in comparison. At such a point, nothing else truly matters.

Growing up, I’ve truly experienced what it means to be loved excessively by my parents. I can’t say one of them loved me more than the other, because I have seen each of them shower me with an irreplaceable kind of love. I remember how my heart would ache whenever I did something wrong because their love was so sincere.

Even so, no human love can ever compare to God’s love for mankind. He gave his only Son who was betrayed, beaten, and crucified by the very people He came to save, all to set us free from sin and death. Sometimes I imagine the scene: if it were a man of flesh on that cross, with the power of God, he would have destroyed everyone before they even got close. But Christ didn’t. He was led like a sheep to the slaughter. He didn’t open his mouth. He didn’t try to defend himself.

The love that God has shown us is beyond comprehension. That’s why the song “Excess Love” will never cease from my lips. I have nothing to give in return for all he’s done, only gratitude. All I can say is, “Thank You, Jesus, for loving me too much o,” just like the lyrics say.
