En mi ciudad natal, El Tigre, se está trabajando más cada día en el rescate de la cultura y el incentivo a la lectura, la danza y el teatro. Ayer tuve la oportunidad de asistir a una excelente obra de teatro en el Ateneo de El Tigre (Casa de la Cultura), patrocinado por la Fundación Vida Asperger, y producido y dirigido por el grupo de Teatro Punto Escénico Teatro, en el que también participa la Licenciada Patricia Posani, fundadora de Vida Asperger.

La obra lleva por nombre “Desvelos”, y nos refleja claramente una parte de la cotidianidad de cada ser humano, la cual va acumulando en sus pensamientos y drena a la hora del descanso, provocando muchas veces intensos insomnios al tratar de desglosar el acontecer del día.

La vida de una bailarina, y todo lo que en medio de su labor puede reflejar alegría y celebración pero que en su interior es más crudo y complejo que mil problemas juntos. El padre de familia entregado a sus hijos y su hogar pero que permanece pisado por el éxito de su esposa, y que cada vez que intenta emprender algo, ésta le recuerda que es un tonto útil, un bueno para nada, un ser miserable. En su diario hablar sólo menciona las cosas que ha logrado su mujer. También el que tiene la crisis económica y culpa al sistema de todos sus problemas sin tomarse la molestia de intentar mil forma de salir adelante.

De la misma manera, se expresó el que no para de lograr éxitos pero en su ambición desea más y su mente se desvela buscando cómo alcanzarlos. El ser fracasado que refugia sus penas en el alcohol hasta quedar vencido por el consumo. Y la mujer que no deja de pensar en sus desvelos porque su esposo no ha llegado a la casa y lo espera despierta hasta el amanecer cuando dan las 5 de la mañana y a esa hora viene entrando. Termina usando herramientas poco convencionales para atrapar a su marido quien mientras ella visita a una bruja, se acerca más a su amante, y ella tomando los brebajes ligados con licor, y pagando al dueño de la licorería con otras cosas, termina siendo acusada de borracha y adúltera.

De esa manera transcurren las horas de desvelo de tantos seres, en medio de una vida compleja, una máscara social y muchos pensamientos abrumadores que no los dejan conciliar el sueño, ni alcanzar un merecido descanso para iniciar un nuevo día. Lo más triste es que al final de éstos, culpan a todos de sus situaciones personales.

Este contexto tan real, plasmado sobre las tablas, no sólo me hizo reír con las ocurrencias de los actores sino que me hizo reflexionar acerca de nuestra cotidianidad.

In my hometown, El Tigre, more and more work is being done every day to rescue culture and encourage reading, dance and theater. Yesterday I had the opportunity to attend an excellent play at the Ateneo de El Tigre (Casa de la Cultura), sponsored by the Vida Asperger Foundation, and produced and directed by the Punto Escénico Teatro group, in which Patricia Posani, founder of Vida Asperger, also participates.

The play is called "Desvelos", and clearly reflects a part of the daily life of every human being, which accumulates in his thoughts and drains at the time of rest, often causing intense insomnia when trying to break down the events of the day.

The life of a dancer, and everything that in the midst of her work may reflect joy and celebration but that in its interior is more crude and complex than a thousand problems together. The father of a family devoted to his children and his home but who remains trampled by his wife's success, and who every time he tries to undertake something, she reminds him that he is a useful fool, a good-for-nothing, a miserable being. In his diary he only mentions the things his wife has achieved. Also the one who has the economic crisis and blames the system for all his problems without bothering to try a thousand ways to get ahead.

In the same way, the one who does not stop achieving successes but in his ambition desires more and his mind wanders in search of how to achieve them. The unsuccessful person who takes refuge in alcohol until he is overcome by consumption. And the woman who does not stop thinking about her sleeplessness because her husband has not arrived home and waits for him awake until dawn when it is 5 o'clock in the morning and at that time he comes in. She ends up using unconventional tools to trap her husband who, while she visits a witch, gets closer to her lover, and she, drinking concoctions laced with liquor, and paying the owner of the liquor store with other things, ends up being accused of being a drunkard and an adulteress.

This is how the sleepless hours of so many people go by, in the midst of a complex life, a social mask and many overwhelming thoughts that do not let them sleep, or reach a well-deserved rest to start a new day. The saddest thing is that at the end of these, they blame everyone for their personal situations.

This very real context, captured on stage, not only made me laugh with the actors' witticisms, but also made me reflect on our daily lives.

Ayer, la ciudad de El Tigre cerró oficialmente los eventos con motivo de Octubre Rosa, Mes de la Lucha contra el Cáncer de Mama, que fueron pautados a lo largo de este periodo, y organizados conjuntamente entre el grupo Del Sur (Policlínica Del Sur y Clínica de la Mujer), Club de Corredores Cansaos Runners y la Alcaldía del Municipio Simón Rodríguez.
