While checking the official post, I discover that The theme for the week is Disney i was shocked as i almost do not know any of the disney songs as i barely watch cartoons, so on that note, i would be doing the cover for the song titled:

This song has been performed by several other musicians and also in they hymn books of the Anglican's but it was originally written by John Newton as far back as the 18th century And has since then become a song every person want to reckon with, the song is now in most hymn books and most believer tend to sing the song.

Somewhere in the lyrics of the song, he said:

This then means that during his encounter, he has series of experience and as such without his experience, he wouldn't have come up with such an amazing song which was the start of his reborn in spirit and in God, he was directly thanking God for giving him a redemption and a second chance at life

Like I earlier said in my previous post:

2Face is a legend in the music industry, he has performed wonderfully well and has beautiful songs to show for it. The album Grace 2 Grace was a very detailed album with amazing songs combined to make the album.

This particular song talks about love and how he found love but messed things up only to have regrets later and want to sort things out, but it was just too late.

He further expressed the loneliness he's experiencing and he admits all blames and explains how he could no longer take it, but all proved abortive.

This song tends to teach us to value and cherish whatever we have when we still have them instead of gambling only to loose what we so much treasure.

The pain that stems from regrets can be really frustrating and taunting, it can hurt beyond what words would ever be able to convey and as such, we should try to avoid it as much as possible.

I particularly love this song because of the emotions poured out in expressing the pains of loosing a loved one, I hope you enjoy it as you listen.

This song reminds me of an ex that hurts me real bad, I listened to this song repeatedly during the heartbreak and id sometimes cry while listening before id eventually sleep off.

When I came across the theme: Take me Home the first thing that came to my mind is Heaven and immediately, this my native song popped up in my mind.

Heaven is the home I really want to go to and in as much as nobody wants to die young, if im given a chance to choose between long life and heaven, id gladly choose heaven, because I know id live eternally with no condemnation.

The lyrics of the song states that:

This song was a masterpiece when we were growing up, it was released 15 years ago, 2006 to be precised by a Nigerian male singing group that was originally a Christian singing group.

The group consist of 3 major singer and founding members namely: Tunde, Shifi and Zeal thier voice and composure is so amazing that they thrived and did well during their time.

I particularly love this song because it's a love song and a plea to the love of Thier life. They were asking that the girl give them another chance to prove their love. They confessed Thier love and reminded the girl of the many promises.

This song is really amazing and it sticked to my head since 2006 and I can't but perform this as it's worth bringing back.

Today, I would be doing the cover for the song titled:

Due to the many heartbreaks i have experienced in the past, I've come to realize over time that, Self Love is the best gift one can give to oneself.

Often times, who love someone so much that we lose ourselves in the process, we give them our all, we are always there whenever they need us, we prioritize them and place these people above ourselves, we simply want the best for them, we give them everything at the expense of our sanity, forgetting that we are human too, and we deserve to be loved as well, we value these people but they have no regard for us, they don't even realize and acknowledge the love that we give to them.

I have met so many people who placed themselves above me, despite the fact that i put them above myself. When i love, i give it my all, and i ensure i do whatever it takes to make you happy.
One strange fact about me is that, i can be starving, but wouldn't mind breaking the bank for the one i love, just so i can see her smile.

I chose to sing "someone you loved" because it reminds of the things i went through in the hands of "unrequited love", I loved so deeply and I put people first, but they rub it to my face that i don't matter to them, I'm not on their top 3 list, when it comes to prioritizing people.
I remember the days I'd sit alone, devastated, I'd always play this song, it was always on repeat, i thought i needed someone to help me heal, someone to hold, someone to help me get over it, little did i know i was wrong, i needed me more than i needed anyone.

Thankfully, without much ado, i was made to realize that, the love we give to ourselves is not wasted effort compared to the one we give to partners who eventually becomes strangers overtime..

Daniel Oyabanjo popularly known as Dbanj is a Nigeria born and breed musician. He spent his early life in Zaria where his dad used to be a military personnel, he started singing at his early stage which was inspired by his old elder brother who eventually died in a plane crash.

Daniel as since then struggled for acceptance and he came into limelight in 2008, he is the owner and founder of mo-hit records where Donjazzy was his producer.

I particularly love this song from him because like average male figure is, we re prone to polygamy and he was saying he is glad he finally found the bone of his bone that has captured his heart and he's willing to go all the way with her.

Even when his friends thought he'd always be a player, but since he set his eyes on her, the girl swayed him and he's madly in love. Listening to this song while growing up made life really sweet.

Recording this song was not hard at all because I know most of the lyrics off head, I just needed to practice couple of times to get some places right. I'm so excited to do this really. I hope you enjoy as you listen.

Today, I would be doing the cover for the song titled:

I know you must be wondering the correlation between the title of this song and the theme for the week, but I tell you that if you listen to the song, you'd understand better, but before then.

In the history of creation, it has been established that God loves us so recklessly that he breathe his breath in us and gave us life, the book of Job 33:4

“The Spirit of God has made me,
And the breath of the Almighty gives me life

That been said, it is evident that God breathe his breath in us so we could have life, so we could live, what other greater love than that?

While rehearsing for this song, I kept feeling so emotional and having goosebumps as I kept reflecting on the amount of love God has for me, he knows me even before I was born, he loves me recklessly even as imperfect as I am, with so much flaws, yet he finds me worthy to keep.

Today, I would be doing the cover of a song titled:

Street Credibility by 9ice.

9ice who is the alapomeji crooner and gongo aso is a strong music name in the Nigerian music industry, tho he is not on the fore front anymore, but he has blessed us with amazing music while growing up.

Street credibility talks about how credible he was on the street of the music industry and how relentless he was working because the people keeps asking him to do more.

He further went to say he changes every day with new idea, culture and zeal just like the chameleon changes it's skin and to crown it all, he described himself as a king and as such no 2kings can rule at the same time. "Oba o le pe meji laafin"

The 2face input in the music further makes it really amazing as he sang passionately and with so much effort and the beauty of his voice combined with the uniqueness of 9ice's made the music stand out. It's an old music that I love so much and I'm glad I am doing it's cover today as it was on the lips of almost all of us that was growing up when he released the music.

While checking the official post, I discover that The theme for the week is Renacer Del Fuego

Today, I would be doing the cover for the song titled:

Amazing Grace - Gospel Hymn

This song has been performed by several other musicians and also in they hymn books of the Anglican's but it was originally written by John Newton as far back as the 18th century And has since then become a song every person want to reckon with, the song is now in most hymn books and most believer tend to sing the song.

The life history/story of John Newton as a slave trader and a person that lost his mother at early age of 6 prompted him to write this song. He was at some point abandoned in West Africa where he ended up up being a slave before he finally made his way back to his country and became a slave trader properly.

On his way back to his hometown, he encountered a huge storm that almost took his life and after he got back, he fought many battles to abolish the african slave trade as he experienced what it felt like first hand and the experience was indeed not pleasing.

On his course of setting things right, he ended up writing amazing grace and as such we have lyrics like:

I once was lost, but now am found,
Was blind but now I see.

It is evident that without his experience, he wouldn't have come up with such an amazing song which was the start of his reborn in spirit and in God, he was directly thanking God for giving him a redemption and a second chance at life
