El día de hoy, les traigo una mini historia de horror narrada por mi en inglés donde cuento sobre una adolescente que , harta de que su hermano le destruya las decoraciones de Halloween , decide tomar medidas al respecto.

Como mi inglés no es perfecto y quiero todos entiendan el relato, se los dejaré aquí abajo en formato escrito en ambos idiomas. Espero lo disfruten y tengan dulces pesadillas 👻

Today, I bring you a mini horror story narrated by me in English where I tell about a teenager who, tired of her brother destroying the Halloween decorations, decides to take action.

Cada que llegaba la celebración de Halloween, me ponía en un estado de euforia extremo. Casi tanto era esto así, que me sumergía en un sentimiento de ansiedad que se convertía en mi aliado nocturno para aprovechar y hacer los mejores adornos para la casa. Si bien, vivo en un lugar donde no se festeja mucho esta fecha, yo, soy la loca de los espíritus y amo festejarla. No me disfrazo ni nada, pero la decoración no puede faltar por eso, pongo toda mi energía en hacer lucir el frente de la casa como un lugar sacado de las peores pesadillas.

Me embriagaba horas y horas diseñando adornos. Desde manos falsas, espantapájaros con esqueletos, arañas, todo lo que te puedas imaginar los cuales, colgaba en los múltiples árboles de alrededor del hogar. Todos sabían de mi pasión por la noche de brujas y lo respetaban, digamos que me dejaban ser, pero, había alguien en particular que gustaba de fastidiarme la existencia.

Mi hermano, dos años menor que yo, encontraba divertido destrozar mis adornos cuando ya estaban colocados. Tenía que repararlos y sentía que los espectros de Halloween se metían en mi ser llenándome de rabia y deseos de partirle la cara. Lo hacia con tal descaro que exhibía su hazaña con mis objetos como si fueran trofeos. Ni amenazándole con que no hiciera eso porque podría hacer enojar a los espíritus se calmaba después de todo, ya no era tan pequeño y no se creía las viejas historias que le contaba sobre las reglas de Halloween.

Lo hacía una y otra vez, parecía disfrutar el verme llorar y esforzándome por reparar lo que con tanto esfuerzo creaba con mis manos, pero estas manos que amaban crear, deseaban eliminarlo. Me cansé de reparar incontables veces mis espeluznantes adornos así que, tomé la decisión de crear adornos eternos que él no podría destruir jamás , por ello, colgué a mi hermano en cada uno de los árboles donde antes, reposaban mis destrozados adornos de plástico y madera.

Every time Halloween celebration arrived, I would enter a state of extreme euphoria. It was almost so much so that I would immerse myself in a feeling of anxiety that became my nighttime ally to take advantage and make the best decorations for the house. Although I live in a place where this date is not widely celebrated, I am the crazy one about spirits and love to celebrate it. I don't dress up or anything, but the decoration cannot be missing, so I put all my energy into making the front of the house look like a place taken from the worst nightmares.

I would spend hours and hours designing decorations. From fake hands, scarecrows with skeletons, spiders, everything you can imagine which, I hung in the multiple trees around the house. Everyone knew about my passion for Halloween night and respected it, they let me be, but there was someone in particular who enjoyed bothering me.

My brother, two years younger than me, found it fun to destroy my decorations once they were already placed. I had to repair them and felt that the Halloween spirits entered my being filling me with rage and desires to punch him in the face. He did it with such audacity that he exhibited his feat with my objects as if they were trophies. Not even threatening him not to do that because he could anger the spirits calmed him down, after all, he was not so young anymore and did not believe the old stories I told him about Halloween rules.

He did it over and over again, he seemed to enjoy seeing me cry and struggling to repair what I created with such effort with my hands, but these hands that loved to create, wanted to eliminate him. I got tired of repairing my spooky decorations countless times so I made the decision to create eternal decorations that he could never destroy, so I hung my brother on each of the trees where my devastated plastic and wooden decorations used to hang.

Hace poco, vi una serie llamada "Kaos" la cual, nos mostraba a los dioses de la mitología griega pero en una versión moderna es decir, como serían hoy en día.

Si bien, la historia no esta mal y la serie se ve atractiva, hay cosas que están demasiado exageradas llegando a parecer como una especie de sátira a lo que es el tema de la inclusión.

Si eres fan de la teogonía, podrías resultar un poco asqueado porque esta serie es bizarra al extremo. No es mala pero tampoco de las mejores sin embargo, en el video rescatamos muchas cosas positivas que, podrían hacer de esta serie , una experiencia diferente sobre la mitología arcaica de Grecia que, a medida vaya avanzando la trama y mirando mas allá de lo superficial , te das cuenta que es bastante oscura.

Recently, I watched a series called "Kaos" which showed us the gods of Greek mythology but in a modern version, that is to say, as they would be today.

(Cat Expo 2024 - In Buenos Aires)

On July 27th of this year, there was a kitten exhibition held in Buenos Aires Capital, where there were fair stands with exclusive cat-themed items, and at the end, there was an exhibition of real cats which I didn't enjoy much as mentioned in the video, but that doesn't mean there aren't people who do enjoy this type of event where you can see all kinds of exotic cat breeds that you don't come across on the street. The good thing is that you can learn from them about their care and other things.

We spent less than an hour exploring since it was a very small place, and then we went for a walk with my friend along the Sur Costanera of Puerto Madero since she didn't know it. We didn't like the expo much, but we took the day and spent time together as we hadn't done something like this in a while.

El 27 de Julio de este año, se llevo a cabo en Buenos Aires Capital, una exposición de gatitos donde se verían puestos de ferias con cositas exclusivas de temáticas gatunas y al final, había una exposición de gatos reales la cual, no disfrute tanto por lo que menciono en el video pero eso no quiere decir que no halla gente que no disfrute este tipo de eventos donde puedes ver todo tipo de gatitos de razas exóticas que no te encuentras en la calle. Lo bueno es que puedes aprender de ellos sobre sus cuidados y demás cosas.

Estuvimos menos de una hora recorriendo ya que era un lugar muy pequeño y luego fuimos a dar un paseo con mi amiga por la costanera Sur de Puerto Madero ya que ella no conocía. La expo no nos gustó mucho pero nos tomamos el día y pasamos tiempo juntas ya que hace tiempo no hacíamos algo así.

(Making the bed with cats: A piece of cake or a challenge?)

In the house of these 5 cats, there are 2 humans living, who are my husband and I, therefore we are their servants and they care little if we are working on household chores like making the bed. It is at this moment where they usually bother the most, complicating this task that apparently is simple but becomes a challenge with so many feline bosses wandering around.

Today, I show you how I make my owners' bed while they are at home. In the video, only 4 of them appear but there are 5 in total and, to be honest, they were calm because when I start filming, mysteriously they calm down in the same way, taking longer than usual to make the bed with them there.

En la casa de estos 5 gatos, viven 2 humanos que somos mi marido y yo por ende, somos sus sirvientes y poco les importa que estemos trabajando en las tareas domésticas como hacer la cama. Es en este momento, donde suelen molestar mas complicando esta tarea que en apariencia , es sencilla pero se vuelve un reto con tantos jefes gatunos rondando por ahí.

El día de hoy, les muestro como hago la cama de mis amos mientras ellos están en casa. En el video, solo salen 4 de ellos pero son 5 en total y , siendo sincera, estaban tranquilos ya que cuando comienzo a filmar, misteriosamente se calman de igual forma, tardo mas de lo habitual en armar el lecho con ellos allí.

(Dinosaurs and Dragons Expo at Tecnopolis)

On Sunday, July 28th of the current year, we went to visit Tecnópolis for the first time. This is a kind of mini city where all kinds of art, technology, and science exhibitions are displayed. An ideal activity to do with children on vacation but this time, we had the chance to see a special expo about dinosaurs and dragons represented in real scale with animatronics.

Although the show was aimed at a children's audience, it was worth it for us and we went anyway hahaha. We were like little kids watching the animatronics and I didn't want to leave but the tour lasted an hour with the show included so I had to say goodbye to the Jurassic world.

I loved the experience. We were the only couple without kids hahaha but we brought out our inner child 😅

El Domingo 28 de Julio del corriente año, fuimos a conocer Tecnópolis por primera vez. Esta, es una especie de mini ciudad donde se exhiben todo tipo de muestras de arte, tecnología y ciencias. Una actividad ideal para realizar con los niños en vacaciones pero esta vez, tocó el turno de una expo especial y era sobre dinosaurios y dragones representados a escala real con animatronics.

Si bien, el show iba enfocado para un público infantil, a nosotros nos valió y fuimos igual ja,ja,ja. Estábamos como niños pequeños viendo los animatronics y no me quería pero el recorrido duraba una hora con show y todo así que me tuve que despedir del mundo jurásico.

La experiencia me encantó. Éramos la única pareja sin niños ja,ja,ja pero llevamos a nuestro niño interior 😅

Espero disfruten el video donde les muestro lo que se pueden llegar a encontrar si van. Obviamente, no mostré todo. Había una sorpresita que no pude filmar pero si van, la podrán ver . Si estas en Baires, no te lo puedes perder ¡Saludos!

(Blame bad luck)

#JulyOfSuperstitions has arrived and I couldn't not participate with a different entry. I decided to try a new format within the genre and what better opportunity than this to challenge myself with a horror micro-story while cooking.

One of the questions from this initiative, was the one that inspired me to write this story and that was: "Have you had bad luck due to a superstition?". The protagonist of this story has no idea what's coming for him and, being so superstitious, after breaking a mirror, everything that happens to him will be a consequence of that.

Llegó #JulioDeSupersticiones y no podía no participar con una entrada diferente. Decidí probar un nuevo formato del género y que mejor oportunidad que esta para probarme a mi misma con un microrrelato de horror mientras cocino.

Una de las preguntas de esta iniciativa , fue la que me inspiró para escribir este relato y esa fué: "¿Tuviste mala suerte por una superstición?". El protagonista de esta historia no sabe lo que se le viene y , al ser tan supersticioso, luego de romper un espejo, todo lo que le vaya a pasar, sera consecuencia de ello.

El falso médico es una leyenda urbana popular de Argentina, la cual no compartiré por aquí porque no he encontrado una fuente fiable para que puedan leerla, pero si la consiguen, comprenderán de qué se tratara el corto de terror del día de hoy y por la cual nos hemos inspirado. Last Sunday, as usual, we were eager to go on one of our getaways to Costanera Sur to have some mate by the Rio De La Plata. However, as had been happening lately, we were unlucky and it was closed due to the bad weather. But that didn't stop us from enjoying some warm mate, and well, I thought of showing how I make mate, haha.

It was terribly cold and that warm infusion was good for us to warm up since we couldn't even ride our bikes to get warm. We hope next time you see us drinking mate, it will be in front of the huge mass of water of the widest river in the world.

El Domingo pasado, como ya es costumbre, teníamos ganas de hacer una de nuestras escapadas a la Costanera sur para tirarnos a tomar unos mates junto al Rio De La Plata pero, como últimamente venía pasando, tuvimos mala suerte y esta estaba cerrada por el mal clima pero eso no nos impidió disfrutar de unos mates calentitos y bueno, se me ocurrió de mostrar como hago yo el mate ja,ja,ja.

Hacia un frio terrible y nos vino bien esa infusión calentita para entrar en calor ya que tampoco pudimos andar en bici para entrar en calor. Esperamos la próxima vez que nos vean tomando mate, sea frente a la enorme masa de agua del Rio mas ancho del mundo.

(The botanic garden)

This past Sunday, with my husband, we decided to take the day to give ourselves a break from the routine of the week and oxygenate our ideas since I fell into depression and he tells me: "Take Sunday and let's go anywhere".

The chosen place to get some fresh air was *Thays Garden or better known as "The botanical garden." This is a mini green lung located in Palermo with an impressive variety of all kinds of plants.

The day was cold, not ideal for being outdoors but that didn't stop us and we had a great time. Taking a stroll through nature refreshes you and is very necessary to disconnect from the routine even for a little while.

Este pasado Domingo, con mi esposo, decidimos tomarnos el día para darnos un respiro de la rutina de la semana y oxigenar las ideas ya que caí en depresión y el me dice: **"Tomate el Domingo y vayamos a cualquier lado"**.

El sitio elegido para tomar aire fue el *El jardín Thays o mejor conocido como "El jardín botánico". Este es un mini pulmón verde ubicado en Palermo con una variedad impresionante de todo tipo de plantas.

El día estaba frio, no estaba para estar al aire libre pero eso no nos detuvo y la pasamos super. Pasear por la naturaleza te renueva y es muy necesario para desconectar el chip de la rutina aunque sea un ratito.

Almost 5 months ago, I already told that my kitten Pepe, went to kitten heaven due to a leukemia that we did not know about, he suffered since he was an adult cat and came from a house that we did not know anything about except that he only suffered Therefore, we mistreated you, we caught him in poor condition, malnourished and late for him to be saved even though we did everything in our power to achieve it.

Hace ya casi 5 meses, ya Conté que mi gatito Pepe, partió al cielo de los gatitos debido a una leucemia que desconocíamos , padecía ya que era un gato adulto y venía de una casa que no sabíamos nada mas que solo sufría maltrataos por ende, lo agarramos en mal estado, desnutrido y tarde para que se salve a pesar de que hicimos todo lo que estuvo a nuestro alcance para lograrlo.

Este video no es solo en homenaje a él y para liberar este dolor que aún llevo dentro mío sino que mas bien, es para ayudar en la causa de #JuntosPorManuela , una hiver que tiene la misma enfermedad que ella.

Con esto, no estoy comparando en absoluto los casos de un gatito con una chica ya que sé, son diferentes aunque el sufrimiento en ambos seres es similar. Mi objetivo principal es que Pepe, ayude a Manuela aunque sea un poco con esto aportando su grano de arena a la causa.

El se fué pero este video quedará como prueba de que aportó mucho a una persona que padece lo mismo que el padeció. Quiero que el día de hoy, Pepe sea el ángel de Manuela.

On April 23rd was Book Day. I didn't post about it and I know, it's like 10 days late but better late than never since just this past Sunday, I was able to visit the International Book Fair that took place at "La Rural", located in Palermo, Buenos Aires where, in different stands, all kinds of books and respective publishers were exhibited.

I had been wanting to buy myself a good bunch of books for a while since reading is one of my favorite leisure activities and well, taking advantage that it was also my birthday recently, I decided to give myself this self-gift and my husband accompanied me.

El pasado 23 de Abril fue el día del libro. No hice publicación al respecto y sé, que son como 10 días tarde pero mas vale tarde que nunca ya que recién el Domingo pasado, pude visitar la Feria internacional del libro que se llevó a cabo en "La Rural", ubicada en Palermo , Buenos Aires en la cual, se exhibían en diferentes stands todo tipo de libros y editoriales respectivas.

Hace tiempo tenía ganas de comprarme una buena tanda de libros ya que leer, es una de mis actividades de ocio favoritas y bueno, aprovechando que tambien fue mi cumpleaños hace poco, decidí hacerme este auto regalo y mi esposo, me acompañó.

Si bien, muchos stands no captaron mi atención, hubo otros que me dejaron embobada como el de mitología griega del cual, me quería llevar todo pero opté esta vez, por llevarme solo las dos bellezas que ven en la foto. Abajo les dejo fotos de lo demás que compré.

La entrada no fue tan cara y traía ciertos beneficios así que si quieres ir debes desembolsar dinero ya que no es libre para todos ja,ja,ja. Por lo demás, quede super contenta ese día ya que me lleve varios bebes a casa y ahora tengo lectura para rato aunque aun tengo varios pdf pendientes. Hermosa experiencia de verdad.
